In this study, four integrated dynamics control (IDC) systems abbreviated as IDCB, IDCS, IDCF, and IDCR are developed, evaluated and compared. IDC systems were integrated with brake and steer control systems to enhance lateral stability and handling performance. To construct the IDC systems, a vehicle model with fourteen degrees of freedom, a fuzzy logic controller, and a sliding mode ABS controller were used. They were tested with various steering inputs when excessive full brake pressure or no brake pressure was applied on dry asphalt, wet asphalt, a snow-covered paved road, and a split-μ road. The results showed that an IDC-equipped vehicle improved lateral stability and controllability in every driving condition compared to an ABS-equipped vehicle. Under all road conditions, IDC controllers enabled the yaw rate to follow the reference yaw rate almost perfectly and reduced the body slip angle. On a split-μ road, IDCB,IDCS, IDCF, and IDCR vehicles drove straight ahead with only very small deviations.

One of the necessary conditions for the mass production of the edible insect, the whitespotted flower chafer Protaetia brevitarsis seulensis (Kolbe), is to breed a strain with excellent egg-laying ability. To identify external morphological traits related to egg-laying ability, we investigated the effects of the weight, length, and width of female adults on egg production. Correlation and multiple regression analyses revealed a positive correlation between the weight of female adults and egg production. This study suggests that selection of heavier females is a good strategy for breeding strains with superior egg-laying characteristics. The results of this study will serve as important foundational data for future breeding of superior strains.

Antireflective non-periodic and periodic sub- wavelength structures (SWS) are fabricated on indium tin oxide (ITO) layers deposited on p-GaN layers of GaN-based green light-emitting diodes (LEDs). The light output powers of LEDs using non-periodic and periodic SWS are increased by 18% and 39% at 20 mA of input current, respectively, compared to LEDs with flat ITO layers. Periodic ITO SWS show a larger enhancement of output power because they have more effective profiles of graded refractive index. The output power of periodic SWS LEDs is improved in all angular directions, indicating that the improved output power is attributed to lower total internal reflection and Fresnel reflection.

Photocurrent-difference spectroscopy (PDS), performed by measuring the difference between photocurrent spectra with and without additional laser illuminations, was demonstrated. The change in the photocurrent spectra, ΔPC, caused by the illuminations had a probe-energy dependency in the heterostructures. The ΔPC spectra varied with the energy of the additional illuminating lights. Compared to the conventional photocurrent spectra, the measured spectra were proven to be very sensitive to the interfacial electronic states in ZnSe/GaAs (001). Unusual features related to the interface states were observed and the possible origins of those peaks are discussed. The mechanism for the change in PC spectra is explained in terms of existence of trap states where the Fermi level is pinned at the interface. The in uence of trap states on the photocurrent spectra was examined with above and below ZnSe-bandgap excitations.
Observation of Plasmon Hybridization in Gold Nanoparticle Pairs

The hybridization of an individual plasmon in gold nanoparticle dimers was observed. By varying the interparticle separation within the metallic nanoparticle on a nanometer scale, we observed a renormalization, as well as a splitting, of the surface plasmon energy. The distinct hybridization and splitting of the individual plasmon mode were detectable in dimer plasmons when the edge-to-edge separation was smaller than $\sim$13 nm in gold particle pairs with a diameter of 160 nm, and a height of 40 nm for each particle. The range of the interparticle separation where the hybridization was detectable was sensitive to each particle's aspect ratio and size. An initial study of the ultrafast nonlinear optical response of exciton-plasmon coupled system is also reported. We observed an enhancement of the transient nonlinear transmission of Frenkel excitons in an organic semiconductor, cyanine J-aggregate, resonantly coupled with surface plasmons in gold metallic particle arrays.

자동차에 적용되는 리튬 이차전지 가격은 현재 350$/kWh 수준으로 이차전지 중장기 목표 가격인 100$/kWh 수준에 비해서는 여전히 높다. 따라서, 이차전지의 가격저감을 위한 노력들이 다양한 분야에서 진행이 되고 있으며, 양극 소재의 경우 1) 공침 2) 소성 3) 수세/코팅 기술의 혁신화를 통해서 가격 저감이 이루어 지고 있다. 공침 기술은 반응기의 대형화나 고속 공침 기술 적용등이 이루어지고 있다. 전구체 제조 공정은 최종 양극재의 배향성과 물성에 크게 영향을 미칠수 있기 때문에 기존 제품 대비 우수한 성능을 가지면서 가격을 절감해야 하는 중요한 목표를 가지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 전구체 공정 가격 저감을 위한 하나의 방법으로 상용공정에서 적용하고 있는 고온의 공침 반응온도를 상온으로 낮춤으로서 소입경 제조 공정 가격을 절감하는 방법을 제시하고자 한다. 테일러 고속 공침 반응기를 적용하여 공침을 진행하였으며, 기존과 동일한 소성/코팅기술을 적용하여 양극재를 제조하였다. 신규 공정을 통해 제조된 양극재는 기존 공정을 통해 얻어진 양극재 대비 전기화학적 우수하고 배향성이 개선됨을 확인할 수 있었다.
