The purpose of this study is to examine the background of the establishment of modern private school in Samjin area in Changwon city and its historical significance. The scope of the study was limited to the Gyeonghaeng school in Samjin area, and the background of the establishment of the Gyeonghaeng school and the meaning of local history were examined in an empirical way based on related literature data and previous studies. First, the modern school started from the Seodang education and was converted into a modern school in 1910 and was a national school in Samjin area until the closure in 1927. Second, Gyeonghaeng School produced numerous local figures, including anti-Japanese independence activists, through modern national education, and brought about the change of several village schools in the surrounding area into modern educational institutions. In addition, the human resources generated from the school have had a great impact on the establishment and operation of night schools in the surrounding area. During the Japanese colonial period, the modern private school was a cradle of national education for the cultivation of human resources in the Samjin area. Through the educational contents and educational achievements revealed in the history of the school, we were able to find educational methods and achievements that could lead to the practice of the spirit of love of the country. In addition, the national education movement of Gyeonghaeng School can be used as a utilization plan to lay the foundation for reorganizing the educational reform ideology and educational environment that should be aimed at opening the nation and promoting globalization today. Through this study, I hope to contribute to the revitalization of research on Changwon area history, especially Changwon modern education history

본 연구의 목적은 마산지역의 신사참배 반대운동의 조직과 전개 과정을 살펴보는 것이다. 마산지역의 신사참배 반대운동은 초기에는 창신학교, 의신여학교, 마산문창교회를 중심으로 전개되었는데, 일제가 강제로 신사참배를 압박하자 마산문창교회는 처음에는 신사참배를 반대하다가 찬성으로 돌아섰고, 호주선교회는 창신학교와 의신여학교를 폐교하는 것으로 대응하였다. 이후 마산지역의 신사참배 반대운동은 호주선교부 마산지부의 최덕지 전도사를 중심으로 전개되었음을 확인할 수 있었다. 그는 지역 조직화와 전국적인 반대 투쟁으로 발전하는데 중심적인 역할을 수행하였다. 그가 중심이 되어 마산 지역을 거점으로 한 신사참배 반대운동은 주변 지역 사회로 확산할 수 있었다. 본 연구를 통해 마산지역의 신사참배 반대운동의 지역적 의의를 파악할 수 있었다. 또한 이 연구는 신사참배 반대운동의 지역 조직화와 전국적인 연대, 투쟁방식 등의 이해에도 크게 기여할 것으로 보인다. 특히 신사참배 반대운동의 지역사적인 원동력을 탐구한다는 점에서 그 의미가 있었다. The purpose of this study is to examine the organization and development process of Movement Against the Shinto Shrine Worship in Masan area. For this purpose, the documents related to Movement Against the Shinto Shrine Worship, court rulings, and newspaper articles were analyzed and summarized. Movement Against the Shinto Shrine Worship in Masan area was initially developed around Changshin School, Uishin Girls' School, and Masan Munchang Church. When the Japanese forced the shrine visit, Masan Munchang Church initially opposed the shrine visit and turned to favor. The Australian Mission responded by closing Changshin School and Uishin Girls' School. After that, it was confirmed that the Movement Against the Shinto Shrine Worship in Masan area was developed around evangelist Choi Deok-ji of the Masan branch of the Australian Mission., He played a central role in developing regional organization and national opposition struggles.,Movement Against the Shinto Shrine Worship, in which he became the center and based in the Masan area, was able to spread to surrounding communities. Through this study, the regional significance of the Movement Against the Shinto Shrine Worship in Masan area could be grasped., This study will also contribute to understanding the regional organization of Movement Against the Shinto Shrine Worship, nationwide solidarity, and fighting style.,Especially, it was meaningful in that it explored the local historical driving force of Movement Against the Shinto Shrine Worship.

The existing Choi Chiwon study was dealt with in particular in terms of life, literature, and thought. Despite such research results, the researcher's interest in Choi Chiwon’s actions as a politician or administrator was far from the researcher's interest in our academic circle. In other words, the discussion focusing on the bureaucratic life of Choi Chiwon was not actively conducted. Therefore, the researcher examined the bureaucratic life in Tang Dynasty and the bureaucratic life in Silla after returning home as Choi Chiwon’s action. First, during Tang Dynasty, Choi Chiwon served as an employee in the barracks of Go Byun through Yulsu-hyeonwi and served as an office of the government officials such as the Kwanyuksunkwan, Dotong-sunkwan. When he returned to Silla after 16 years of Tang Dynasty, he was a Guksinsa and Songyisa under the title of 'Hyeonamipsillakyum Song-guksindeungsa Jeondongmyeon Dotong-sunkwan Seungmurang Jeonjungsisa Naegongbong sa Beerdae’. Next, Choi Chiwon took charge of the Byungbusirang after returning to Silla after a visit to the Sidok-bacheror and Halim-bacheror. Since then, he has volunteered for his external position and soon served as a governor of Taesan, Buseong, and Cheonryeong county. In particular, he lived as a bureaucrat in the last years under the title of ‘Bangro-daegam Cheonryeong-bacheror Achan’. Choi Chiwon is widely known as a poet, literary writer and thinker, and he cannot overlook his literary, academic, and ideological achievements. However, his discussion of bureaucratic life also serves as a major excuse to understand his social activities as well as the political and institutional situation of the time. The purpose of this study is to present a strategy of success from a regional historical point of view so that Changwon Namsan sangbongje can stand as a local festival in the process of rapid change of various environments surrounding local festival. Currently, Namsan sangbongje is a local festival, and there are some problems and it is necessary to find a success strategy. In order to become a symbolic festival of Changwon, it is necessary to develop festival contents using historical and cultural resources. In order to establish the success strategy of Namsan sangbongje, it is necessary to develop the festival contents and establish the festival strategy. Based on this, Namsan sangbongje can be developed as a successful festival. In the century of culture, Changwon city brand can be improved and local culture can be developed. This study is about the storytelling of Harbor Railroad Greenway in Masan using historical and cultural resources and its utilization plan. First, the status of historical and cultural resources around Harbor Railroad Greenway in Masan and the historical background of Harbor Railroad Greenway in Masan were examined. Next, we selected the current status of historical and cultural resources around Harbor Railroad Greenway in Masan, the discovery of stories for storytelling development, and the theme of the story. Storytelling using historical and cultural resources was attempted, and the utilization plan of Harbour Railroad Greenway in Masan was suggeste. The object and method of this study were historical and cultural resources near the Harbor Railroad Greenway in Masan, and attempts were made to utilize existing literature and previous research data. The results were divided into Japanese conquest stories, Masan modern stories, religious stories, March 15 democratization stories, and cultural facilities stories using historical and cultural resources around the Harbor Railroad Greenway in Masan. These five theme stories were provided to visitors, and storytelling work was attempted to inform the history, culture, and local values of Masan, which is owned by Harbor Railroad Greenway in Masan.In addition, as a method of utilizing storytelling, cultural tour commentators, integrated information system and promotion online site operation, and smartphone application utilization were suggested. The significance of this study is that it suggests storytelling and ways to utilize it using local historical and cultural resources from a recent local perspective.

마산지역 신사참배 반대 운동 연구송 성 안** 요약: 본 연구의 목적은 일제 강점기 마산지역의 신사참배 반대 운동을 마산 신사의 건립과 창신학교의 저항을 중심으로 지역사적인 관점에서 분석하는 데 있다. 당시의 공문, 신문 등 기존의 관련 문헌 자료를 비교・분석하였다. 이 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 마산의 신사참배 문제는 일제가 마산 신사를 건립한 것이 계기가 되었다. 일제의 식민지 권력의 상징으로 신사가 인식되었기 때문이다. 마산 신사의 예제 행사는 지역 축제화 되었지만, 지역민은 관람자에 불과하였다. 황국 신민화 정책의 도구 역할에 불과하였다. 호주 선교부가 신사참배 반대 뜻을 분명히 했고, 창신학교가 신사참배 반대 투쟁을 하였다. 일제가 지속해서 신사참배를 강요하자, 폐교로 저항하였다. 이 연구 결과, 마산지역 신사참배 반대 운동의 시작에는 일제의 마산 신사가 그 중심에 있었다는 점을 파악하였다. 향후 본 연구는 신사참배 반대 운동의 중층적인 발생 원인을 분석하는데 이바지할 수 있다. 전국화된 신사 네트워크와 그 역할을 지역사적인 관점에서 탐색했다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 핵심어: 마산, 신사, 창신학교, 호주 선교부, 신사참배 □ 접수일: 2022년 3월 11일, 수정일: 2022년 4월 4일, 게재확정일: 2022년 4월 20일* 이 연구결과물은 2019년 경남대학교 신진교수연구비 지원에 의한 것임. ** 경남대학교 자유전공학부 조교수(Professor, Kyungnam Univ., Email: songsa500@kyungnam.ac.kr) A Study on the Movement Against the Shrine Visit in Masan AreaSeongan Song Abstract: The purpose of this study is to analyze the movement against shrine visits in Masan area during the Japanese colonial period from the perspective of local history, focusing on the construction of Masan Shrine and the resistance of Changshin School. The results of this study are as follows: The issue of visiting the shrines of Masan was the occasion for the Japanese imperialists to build the Masan shrine. Shrine was recognized as a symbol of colonial power of the Japanese imperialists; the Shrine event was localized, but the locals were only spectators; it was only a tool of the imperialist neo-ministration policy. The Australian missionary ministry was opposed to the shrine visit, and the Changshin school fought against the shrine visit. When the Japanese imperialism forced the shrine visit, it resisted the Japanese imperialism. As a result of the study, it was found that the Masan shrine of the Japanese imperialism was located at the center at the beginning of the movement against the shrine visit in Masan. This study can contribute to the analysis of the causes of the multi-layered anti-Shrine movement. It is meaningful in that it explored the nationalized Shrine network and its role from a regional historical point of view. The purpose of this study is to explore the cultural landscape of Choi Chi-won in Changwon and to utilize it as a cultural heritage of the region in the future. The research method is to review the old maps kept by the Kyujanggak, Institute for Korean Studies, and to investigate and analyze the existing literature data. The results of this study confirmed the existence and location of the remains of Wolyoungdae, Goundae, and Gangseondae, which are known as the cultural relics of Choi Chiwon in Changwon area. It was also confirmed that it can be used as a cultural landscape text to understand the recognition of Choi Chi-won in Changwon area and its change. Based on the results of this study, discussions on the storytelling of Choi Chi-won’s cultural landscape and the utilization of cultural contents will be more systematic and in-depth. This study is meaningful in that it was an attempt to understand the history of the area by reading the cultural landscape texts of Changwon and Choi Chiwon using the old map.
