In this paper, We describe a design of sales agent for support for negotiation during sales support on the Internet within Case-Based Reasoning (CBR) solutions. First, We propose an multi-agent system which can effectively search complex product on the WWW. And we represent databases and case-bases and propose a CBR cycle for sales agent. We then implement some of them in a prototype for a sales agent and a case study is shown where preliminary approaches are used to negotiate with a customer about his demands and available products in a CBR-based Electronic Commerce solution.

This paper describes a strategy implementation of game character using artificial life simulation. First, after briefly surveying to artificial life and artificial life simulation, we define a game environment and represent a game character in neural network. We then propose a artificial life simulation model using neural network and evolutionary algorithm.Finally, We describe simulation result and analysis. Although our simulation model using artificial life technique is not advanced, it is shown that we can efficiently implement the strategy of game character compared with rule based reasoning models.

Databases that are mainly used for statistical analysis are called statistical databases (SDB). A statistical database management system(SDBMS) may be defined as a database management system that provides capabilities to model, store, and manipulate data in a manner suitable for the needs of SDB users, and to apply statistical data analysis technique that range from simple summary statistics to advanced proceduses. Ths paper suveys the statistical database characteristics and proposes a design for a summary table production system(STPS). STPS creates summary database from raw database by application programs, extracts summary table from summary database by using meta data and format summary data in tabular form. STPS can produce efficiently summary table for user's statistical requirements compared with other systems.

Since it is now practically impossible for a Web user to find all her or his information interests through surfing, Artificial intelligent techniques seem to be useful concerning the internet search engine. This paper describes a design of internet search system using concept and CBR(case-based reasoning). First, After briefly surveying to internet search engine, concept-based search system and case-based reasoning, We propose a concept-based search system which can effectively search the index database using hyper-link information of web document. And we represent index database in terms of its concept graph, index information, data dictionary, user profile and case bases. We then propose a case-based reasoning approach for user's query processing. Although the designed ISS(Internet Search System) using Concept and case-based reasoning is not advanced, it can efficiently search the index database compared with other search systems, and it is much less expensive to construct index database than other approaches.

This paper describes the similarity measure on intelligent sales agent using CBR(case-based reasoning). First, After briefly surveying to intelligent agents and case based reasoning, We present the multi-agent system which is composed of Information Collection Agent, Index Agent, User Interface Agent, Search Engine and Sales Engine. Especially, the design of Sales Agent using CBR makes it possible to propose a new cycle of CBR and a method of computing similarity. And We then propose a method of similarity measure which can effectively search the case bases. The proposed system comes to have more learning according as the increase of new cases are added to Case Base and the number of success cases of the existing cases gradually increases, and recommends proper goods matching various tastes of customers. In the future, the study of Data-mining Technique will help the system develop into a useful agent which can adapt itself to many kinds of users.

This paper surveys the statistical database characteristics and summary table systems and proposes a statistical query processing method for a summary table production system(STPS). STPS that uses this statistical query processing method can produce efficiently summary table for user's statistical requirements compared with other systems.

This study is on Case-Based Reasoning(CBR) Model for automatic construction of e-mail documents. The objective is to propose a design method of adaptative agent by using CBR for automatic construction of e-mail documents on internet. We suggest an agent system using CBR Model for Automatic Construction of E-mail Documents. Especially, an agent system, constructing E-mail documents automatically using a new cycle of CBR and a method of computing similarity, is proposed. In order to achieve the objective described above, we first briefly surveyed the case based reasoning and the intelligent agents, and then designed an multi-agent system which is consisted of E-mail Documents Analysis Agent, Index Agent, Search Engine and E-mail Documents Construction Agent. In addition we represented databases and case-bases, and showed a CBR cycle for the agent, and then finally proposed an prototype for the agent and a case study.
