Infrared Thermography Quantitative Diagnosis in Vibration Mode of Rotational Mechanics

In the industrial field, real-time monitoring system like a fault early detection is very important. For this, the infrared thermography technique as a new diagnosis method is proposed. This study is focused on the damage detection and temperature characteristic analysis of ball bearing using the non-destructive infrared thermography method. In this paper, thermal image and temperature data were measured by a Cedip Silver 450 M infrared camera. Based on the results, the temperature characteristics under the conditions of normal, loss lubrication, damage, dynamic loading, and damage under loading were analyzed. It was confirmed that the infrared technique is very useful for the detection of the bearing damage.

회전기기의 고장 탐지에 있어 기존의 진단법과 달리 동적 하중조건 하에서 비접촉, 비파괴의 적외선 열화상 기법이 제안된다. 본 논문에서는 단열 깊은 홈 볼 베어링을 시편으로 하여, 회전기기의 기존의 고장 진단법 대신 수동형 열화상 기법을 이용한 시험을 수행하였다. 추가적으로, 제안된 방법의 효율성을 평가하기 위해 기존의 진동 스펙트럼 분석법을 적용하여 열화상 시험법을 비교하였다. 시험의 결과로써, 동적 하중조건 하 볼 베어링의 온도분포 특성이 철저히 분석되었다. Fault detection for dynamic loading conditions of rotational machineries was considered from the contactless, non-destructive infrared thermographic method, rather than the traditional diagnosis method. In this paper, by applying a rotating deep-grooved ball bearing, passive thermographic experiment was performed as an alternative way proceeding the traditional fault monitoring. In addition, the thermographic experiments were compared with the vibration spectrum analysis to evaluate the efficiency of the proposed method. Based on the results, it was concluded the temperature characteristics of the ball bearing under dynamic loading conditions were analyzed thoroughly.
마모 단계의 볼 베어링에 대한 적외선 열화상 비파괴 결함 진단 연구

기존 진단법과 달리 동적 하중조건하 회전체의 마모 단계에 따른 결함 진단을 위해 비접촉, 비파괴의 적외선 열화상 기법이 제안된다. 본 연구에서는 시험시편인 단열 깊은 홈의 볼 베어링을 설정하여 기존의 스펙트럼 분석과 같은 고장탐지법에 대한 대안으로써 수동형 열화상시험이 수행되었다. 본 연구로부터, 적외선 열화상시험은 신뢰성을 평가하기 위해 기존 진동 스펙트럼 분석시험과 비교, 분석되었다. 연구의 비파괴시험의 결과로써, 마모 단계에 따른 볼 베어링의 온도 특성이 분석되었다. For fault detection about the abrasion stage of rotational machineries under the dynamic loading conditions unlike the traditional diagnosis method used in the past decade, the infrared thermographic method with its distinctive advantages in non-contact, non-destructive, and visible aspects is proposed. In this paper, by applying a rotating deep-grooved ball bearing, passive thermographic experiments were conducted as an alternative way to proceeding the traditional fault monitoring on spectrum analyzer. As results, the thermographic experiment was compared with the traditional vibration spectrum analysis to evaluate the efficiency of the proposed method. Based on the results obtained as NDT, the temperature characteristics and abnormal fault detections of the ball bearing according to the abrasion stage were analyzed.

The research aimed to compare science curriculum between Korea and Israel and find out characteristics of science curriculum in Israel at middle school level. The middle school `science` of the 7th revised national curriculum in Korea and middle school `science and technology` in Israel were compared. Among characteristics of the Israel curriculum of` `science and technology`, distinct ones are as follows: First, `science and technology` was most highly emphasized with the largest number of time allotment among all subjects at middle school level in Israel. Second, the contents of `science and technology` were classified into seven areas of `energy and interaction`, `materials`, `organism`, `earth and the universe`, `technological systems and products`, `information and communication`, and `ecosystems` rather than four areas of energy, materials, life and earth in Korea, Third, `organism` was allocated with the highest number of hours among seven areas. Fouth, objectives of each content of science and technology` were divided into three categories: scientific aspect, technological aspect, and social value and objectives of each category were related to one another. This characteristic seems to stress STS, multidisciplinary, and interdisciplinary approaches in `science and technology` in Israel. Such characteristics of the `science and technology` education in Israel are likely to make significant contributions to establish human resources of highly developing science and technology including IT, BT, NT, ST in the future society. Reflecting upon the characteristics of `science and technology` education in Israel, Korea might seek for ways to improve its national power based on science and technology through strengthening science and emphasizing science and technology contents among school curriculum.

Cerebrovascular accident(CVA) is a leading cause of death, and severe sequelae, like motor disturbance, mental disorder, dysphagia, recognition disorder, speech disorder(aphasia) often occur. Most of medical cure about CVA sequelae lay emphasis on motor disturbance, so speech disorder(aphasia) has been neglected. But speech disorder therapy is essential for social rehabiltation. Recently, inside and outside South Korea, various clinical approaches and potential medical cures for speech disorder (aphasia) have been researched. In Korean Medicine, papers pertaining to speech disorders have been but a few. In this study two cases of aphasic stroke patients who were treated for speech and language disorders through Korean medical therapy are reported.
