Pathologic Evaluation of Breast Cancer after Neoadjuvant Therapy

Breast cancer, one of the most common cancers in women, has various treatment modalities. Neoadjuvant therapy (NAT) has been used in many clinical trials because it is easy to evaluate the treatment response to therapeutic agents in a short time period; consequently, NAT is currently a standard treatment modality for large-sized and locally advanced breast cancers, and its use in early-stage breast cancer is becoming more common. Thus, chances to encounter breast tissue from patients treated with NAT is increasing. However, systems for handling and evaluating such specimens have not been established. Several evaluation systems emphasize a multidisciplinary approach to increase the accuracy of breast cancer assessment. Thus, detailed and systematic evaluation of clinical, radiologic, and pathologic findings is important. In this review, we compare the major problems of each evaluation system and discuss important points for handling and evaluating NAT-treated breast specimens.
Fluid Flow Model of leaky Bucket Scheme with Two Thresholds

본 논문에서는 데이터 버퍼의 레벨에 따라 출력률이 달라지며 버퍼에 두 개의 임계치를 갖는 리키 버킷 방안을 조사한다. 입력 트래픽 모델로 MMFF를 사용하고 대기체계를 이용해 분석한다. 성능 측도로서 셀손실 확률과 평균 셀 지연등을 구한다. 하나의 임계치를 갖는 리키버킷은 데이터 버퍼의 잦은 레벨변화를 겪는데 이 현상은 시스템에 나쁜 영향을 미치므로 이를 개선하는 두 개의 임계치를 갖는 시스템을 제안하고 수치계산 예로 이 현상을 제거한다는 것을 보여준다. We investigate the Leaky Bucket(LB) scheme with two thresholds in the data buffer in which the leaky rate changes depending on the content of data buffer. We use a Markov Modulated Fluid Flow(MMFF) model as a burst input traffic. As performance measures, we obtain cell loss probability and mean cell delay for the LB scheme with two thresholds. Numerical examples show that the LB scheme with two thresholds eliminates hysterical phenomenon which LB scheme with a threshold has.

Variation of heat transfer performance in each row are investigated in the present work. Experiments were performed for the 7mm diameter tube heat exchangers using air-enthalpy type calorimeter, which is based on air-enthalpy method described in ASHRAE standards. Fin patterns of the heat exchangers were slit and louver types. Equivalent fin spacing with 18 FPI was used for all samples, and the number of tube rows were 2. In order to investigate the conduction effects, one sample was physically separated between two rows, but the other was connected. The air velocity was varied from 0.7 to 2.5 m/s with 0.3 m/s interval. Heat transfer coefficient in terms of Colburn j-factor are presented. It was observed that conduction effects between rows on the overall heat transfer performance was considerable and have to be considered for determination of heat transfer coefficients for individual row.

본 논문에서는 공통선 신호망의 ISDN 사용자부(ISUP) 신호 메시지에 대해 신호 링크가 갖는 평균 대기지연을 집단 도착을 갖는 M^[X]/G/I 대기 체계로 분석하였다 이는 하나의 호가 연결을 요구할 때 여러 가지 형태의 메시지가 짧은 간격으로 발생한다는 점에 유의해서 신호 메시지 도착과정을 집단 도착과정으로 모델링 했기 때문이다 그리고 여러 다른 대기모델 해석과 수치 결과를 비교분석했다 ln this paper we analized mean queueing delay of signalling link for ISDN User Part signalling messages in common channel signalling networks by using M^[X]/G/I queueing system with group arrival This is because arrival process of sinalling messages is modeled as batch arrival process, considering various messages occur during short duration when a call requests connection We also described the numerical results from the different types of queueing models
