This study aims to understand the activities and significance of Byun Jun-howho launched the Korean independence movement, based on socialism, in America. Born in Yangpyeong, Korea in 1895, Byun Jun-ho passed through Nanjing, Chinato study in America and began his independence movement with Korean NationalAssociation at Young Korean Academy. At the time, he focused primarily onraising funds and recruiting for Young Korean Academy. It was with this experienceat the time that he developed his extraordinary skills in fund-raising andnetwork-building required to maintain an organization. After the Great Depression in 1929, socialism spread across the Koreancommunities in America. Byun embraced socialism through the Korean Academyof Social Science, based on which he developed his own strategies for independence. He used socialism as a tool to promote armed resistance. Thanks to his experienceof working on the finance of Korean organizations and human network sincethe days of Young Korean Academy, the China Aid Society, comprised of progressiveKoreans, came into being. He represented the New York branch at Korean NationalAssociation and shared where the China Aid Society stood at the general meetingof the Association. Byun acted willingly as the go-between for the nationalistand socialist organizations. After the Korean Volunteers Corps Aid Society was established in China in1940, Byun focused all his activities to promoting armed resistance. From 1943and onward, he was appointed the chair of the North America Branch of theKorean National Revolutionary Party. He continued to encourage armed resistanceat The United Korean Committee in America, the largest group of Koreans inAmerica. Highly valuing Byun’s activities, OSS had him participate in NAPKO PROJECT. NAPKO PROJECT was one proof of Byun’s determination and fervorfor armed resistance. When Korea was liberated, Byun was in charge of the financeof ‘Independence’ and took on anti-American ideas, criticizing the Americanmilitary government’s policies. Having devoted his whole life to achieveindependence, he could not tolerate the reality where the American governmentaccepted the pro-Japanese groups. Byundied in Los Angeles on February 20, 1966. Byun Jun-ho was committed to gain independence and thus worked tirelesslyto bring nationalists and socialists together. While he was a chairperson of asub-group at the United Korean Committee in America, he dedicated himselfto armed resistance, proving that there were more than those in America whoargued for the diplomatic independence. He was actively involved with NAPKOeven when he knew it was for the American interest because he seemingly wantedto put his words ― his firm belief in armed resistance ― into action. Most ofhis life, Byun Jun-ho lived for the independence of Korea, to let the Koreansin America know more about armed resistance. He was one of the people whoplayed a crucial role in maintaining socialism among Koreans in America.

하와이ㆍ미주 사회에서 閔贊鎬의 한인 교육과 민족운동

Min Chan Ho(1877~1954) is a person dedicated to Korean education and national movement in Hawaii and the United States. He has developed various projects for the development of the Hawaiian Korean community based on the church. In particular, he made achievements in the direction of national education and independence movement. He was involved in publishing magazines for Hawaiian and korean Americans. After moving to the mainland of the United States, he had a friendly relationship with the Korean National Assembly and the Korean War Society and actively participated in Korean-American education. Even in the 1910s, there were few people who experienced Korean society in Hawaii and the United States. Moreover, in both areas, the position of the Min Chan Ho was never small. There were signs that actively participated in the activities and educational problems of Korean Americans. Therefore, I would like to find out how the activities of the church-based activities of Min Chan Ho have influenced the unity of the Korean American community in Hawaii and the Americas. He acknowledged the generation change of Korean Americans in Hawaii and tried to prevent political confrontation. To do this, he chose a way to prevent the conflicts of Korean society from growing in the field. This was possible because Min Chan-ho led the immigrant society in Hawaii and had experience participating in the Korean American community when supporting the independence movement. In this respect, it can be said that the educational activities developed by Min Chan Ho in Hawaii and the United States have contributed to the maintenance of the Korean Independence Movement in succeeding generations 민찬호(閔贊鎬ㆍ閔燦鎬 1877~1954)는 하와이와 미국 본토에서 한인교육과 민족운동에 헌신한 인물이다. 그는 교회를 기반으로 하와이 한인사회 발전과 정착을 위해 다양한 사업을 전개했다. 그 중에서도 민찬호는 민족교육과 독립운동 방면에서 족적을 남겼던 인물이다. 그는 하와이와 미주 한인들을 위한 잡지 출판에 관여했으며. 미국 본토로 이주한 후에는 대한인국민회ㆍ흥사단과 우호적인 관계를 맺으며, 한인 교육에 적극적으로 참여했던 것이다. 1910년대만 하더라도 하와이와 미국 내 한인사회를 두루 경험한 인물은 흔치 않았다. 더구나 양 지역에서 민찬호의 입지는 결코 작지 않았다. 한인들의 권익을 위한 활동과 교육문제에 있어서 활발하게 참여한 흔적들이 나타나기 때문이다. 따라서 한인 이민 초기 시절 민찬호가 교회를 기반으로 전개한 활동들이 어떻게 한인 사회를 단결하는 데 영향을 끼쳤는지를 파악해보고자 한다. 그리고 민찬호는 미주ㆍ하와이 한인 사회의 세대 교체를 인정하고, 정치적 진영 대립을 지양하고자 했다. 이를 위해 스스로 현장에서 활동하여 한인 사회의 갈등이 커지는 것을 막는 길을 택한 인물이었다. 그것은 그가 하와이 초기 이민자 사회를 이끌었고, 국민회 중심으로 미주 한인 사회가 독립운동을 지원했을 때 참여한 경험이 있기에 가능한 일이었다. 이러한 면에서 민찬호가 이주 초기 하와이와 미국을 왕래하며 전개했던 교회사업과 그에 따른 교육 활동들은 한인 민족운동이 후속 세대에게 유지되는데 기여를 했다고 평가할 수 있다

데이터베이스 파일의 삭제를 위한 미처리 연산의 효율적 수행 기법

본 논문은 데이터베이스 관리시스템이 데이터베이스를 저장할 디스크 공간을 직접 관리하는 환경에서 데이터베이스 파일들의 삭제를 위해 미처리 연산을 정확하고 효율적으로 수행하는 기법을 제시한다. 미처리 연산의 수행과 관련하여 회복시에 회복 프로세스는 완료가 결정되었으나 아직 종료하지 않은 미종료 트랜잭션들의 아직 수행되지 않은 미처리 연산들을 식별하고 이들을 완전히 수행할 수 있어야 한다. 본 논문의 기본아이디어는 로그 파일에 기록된 로그레코드들을 분석함으로써 회복 프로세스가 그 연산들을 식별할 수 있게 하는 것이다. 이 기법은 ARIES의 트랜잭션, 퍼지 검사점, 그리고 회복의 수행을 확장한 것으로서 다음의 방법을 사용한다. 첫째, 회복시에 미종료 트랜잭션들을 식별하기 위하여, 각 트랜잭션은 트랜잭션의 완료와 미처리 연산 수행의 시작을 함께 나타내는 미처리연산수행시작('pa-start') 로그레코드를 기록한 후에 미처리 연산을 수행하며, 그리고 나서 트랜잭션 종료 로그레코드를 기록한다. 둘째. 회복시에 미종료 트랜잭션들의 미처리 연산 리스트를 복구하기 위하여, 각 트랜잭션은 미처리 연산수행시작 로그레코드에 그 트랜잭션의 미처리 연산 리스트를 수록하며 퍼지 검사점은 검사점종료 로그레코드에 완료가 결정된 트랜잭션의 미처리 연산 리스트를 수록한다. 셋째, 회복시에 다음에 수행할 미처리 연산을 식별하기 위하여, 각 트랜잭션은 미처리 연산을 수행하면서 변경하는 각 페이지에 대하여 그 페이지에 대한 재수행 정보를 기록하는 로그레코드에 다음에 수행할 미처리 연산의 식별 정보를 함께 수록한다. In the environment that database management systems manage disk spaces for storing databases directly, this paper proposes a correct and efficient scheme of performing pending actions for the removal of database files. As for performing pending actions, upon performing recovery, the recovery process must identify unperformed pending actions of not-yet-terminated transactions and then perform those actions completely. Making the recovery process identify those actions through the analysis of log records in the log file is the basic idea of this paper. This scheme, as an extension of the execution of transactions, fuzzy checkpoint, and recovery of ARIES, uses the following methods: First, to identify not-yet-terminated transactions during recovery, transactions perform pending actions after writing 'pa_start'log records that signify both the commit of transactions and the start of executing pending actions, and then write 'eng'log records. Second, to restore pending-actions-lists of not-yet-terminated transactions during recovery, each transaction records its pending-actions-list in 'pa_start'log record and the checkpoint process records pending-actions-lists of transactions that are decided to be committed in 'end_chkpt'log record. Third, to identify the next pending action to perform during recovery, whenever a page is updated during the execution of pending actions, transactions record the information that identifies the next pending action to perform in the log record that has the redo information against the page.

스마트올인원 심폐순환보조장치의 안전성 및 성능평가에 관한 연구

The existing Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation(ECMO) and Cardiopulmonary bypass system(CPB) have been developed and applied to various devices according to their respective indications. However, due to the complicated configuration and difficult usage method, it causes inconvenience to users and there is a risk of an accident. Therefore, smart all-in-one cardiopulmonary circulation device is being developed recently. The smart all-inone cardiopulmonary assist device consists of a blood pump for cardiopulmonary bypass, a blood oxidizer for cardiopulmonary bypass, a blood circuit for cardiopulmonary bypass, and an artificial cardiopulmonary device. It is an integrated cardiopulmonary bypass device that can be used for a variety of purposes such as emergency, intraoperative, post-operative intensive care, and long-term cardiopulmonary assist, combined with CPB used in open heart surgery and ECMO used when patient's cardiopulmonary function does not work normally. The smart all-in-one cardiopulmonary assist device does not exist as a standard and international standard applicable to advanced medical devices. Therefore, in this study, we will refer to the International Standard for Blood Components, the International Standard for Blood, the Guideline for Blood Products, and prepare applicable performance and safety guidelines to help quality control of medical devices, and contribute to the improvement of the health of people. The guideline, which is the result of conducted a survey of the method of safety and performance test, is based on the principle of all-in-one cardiopulmonary aiding device, related domestic foreign standards, the status of domestic and foreign patents, related literature, blood pump(ISO 18242), blood oxygenator (ISO 7199), and blood circuit (ISO 15676) for cardiopulmonary bypass.The items on blood safety are as follows: American Society for Testing and Materials ASTM F1841-97R17), and in the 2010 Food and Drug Administration's Safety Assessment Guidelines for Medical Assisted Circulatory Devices. In addition, after reviewing the guidelines drawn up through expert consultation bodies including manufacturers / importers, testing inspectors, academia, etc. the final guideline was established through revision and supplementation process. Therefore, we propose guidelines for evaluating the safety and performance of smart all-in-one cardiopulmonary assist devices in line with growing technology.
