This study was carried out to examine if Haejohwan (HJ) inhibits oxidant-induced lipid peroxidation and therby produces protective effect against thyroxine-induced hyperthyroid rats. Triiodothyronine $(T_3)$, thyroxine $(T_4)$, lipid peroxidation, xathine oxidase activities and type conversion ratio were increased in thyroxine treated group. However, they were decreased in HJ extract's pre-applied group. Glutathione level, activities of glutathione peroxidase, glutathione Stransferase and glutathione reductase were decreased in thyroxine treated group. But, they were increased in HJ extract's pre-applied group. These results suggest that in thyroxine-induced hyperthyroid rats HJhas an increase in the activities of oxygen free radical scavenging enzymes and inhibition of xanthine oxidase activities, and prevents lipid peroxidation.

Along with increasing awareness of the indoor air quality, the problem of removing gaseous pollutants and smell inside of vehicle has become more important than ever. Volatile organic compound (VOC) generated from inside of vehicles expose drivers to various kinds of diseases for a long period of time. This study analyzes photocatalyst and air purifier. Computational fluid dynamic analysis (CFD) was used to analyze photocatalyst responses and fluid in accordance with the influx of air.

Recently, the development tendency of automobile and mechanical parts are eco-friendly, fuel-efficient and high efficiency. In this study, fine dimple was formed using by Laser surface texturing on the sliding parts, and WS2 is fixed to the dimple through burnishing for low friction and wear resistance. Friction test was carried out by TE77 wear tester with Ball-on-Plate method. Dimple formed by LST was analyzed the effect for durability of solid lubricants.

Although laser texturing technology is known for effective method to improve the tribological performance of friction surface for years, new applications are reported. Up to date, laser texturing approaches found in the literature are mainly discussed about the dimple shape cases or its friction effect problems. However, for industrial applications, the LST pattern on lubricating surface conditions was investigated in this study. Tribological experiments were conducted with the CrN coated SAE 9254 steel patterned for dot and line marking. Marking laser with a scanner were used for the laser texturing process. In addition, LST was applied to the Piston top ring and tribological experiments were compared.

Kinematic calibration enhances absolute accuracy by compensating for the fabrication tolerances and<br/> installation errors. Effectiveness of calibration procedures depends greatly on the measurements performed.<br/> This paper investigates identifiable parameters and optimum postures for four different calibration procedures<br/> . measuring postures completely with inverse kinematic residuals, measuring postures completely with<br/> forward kinematics residuals, measuring only the three position components, and restraining the mobility of<br/> the end-effector using a constraint link. The study is performed for a six degree-of-freedom fully parallel<br/> HexaSlide type parallel manipulator, HSM. Results verify that all parameters are identifiable with complete<br/> posture measurements. For the case of position measurements, one and for the case of constraint link, three<br/> parameters were found non-identifiable. Selecting postures for measurement is also an important issue for<br/> efficient calibration procedure. Typically, the condition number of the identification Jacobian is minimized to<br/> find optimum postures. Optimal postures showed the same trend of orienting themselves on the boundaries of<br/> the search space.

레이저 표면 텍스처링된 피스톤링의 마찰 저감 효과에 관한 연구

In this paper attempts to investigate the effect of friction reduction due to micro-scale dimple pattern on Piston ring versus cylinder liner. Tribological experiments were conducted with the Piston top ring(CrN coated SAE 9254) patterned for line marking . Marking laser with a scanner were used for the laser texturing process.
