This study aimed at analyzing the structural relationship among social support from professors, career decision-making self-efficacy, student satisfaction and persistent learning of vocational college students. Social support from professors had an influence on career decision-making self-efficacy and student satisfaction, through which the persistent learning was affected by social support. Second, career decision-making self-efficacy not only had a positive effect on student satisfaction but also had a direct influence on persistent learning as an estimating factor. Third, student satisfaction had a significant effect on persistent learning. The more the students are satisfied with the external environment of college, the more easily enhancedthe positive influence on persistent learning. According to the findings of this study, vocational college should provide various active programs to improve career decision-making self-efficacy and student satisfaction through social support from professors for motivating the persistent learning of students; to increase students’ satisfaction by improving their skills and knowledge for field work.

This study is basic research focused on product development and market activation based on analysis ofcurrent usage and demand for development of processed blue crabs. A total of 556 subjects aged 20s to 60sliving in the Seoul area were surveyed. According to the survey, 65.1% of subjects consumed blue crabs athome, and 82% of them purchased blue crabs whole and undressed. Respondents gave higher marks to taste,nutrition, and texture compared to ingredient preparation, eating method, and price. Majority of blue crab consumershad no experiences of consuming processed blue crabs. Exactly 57.0% of consumers purchased themat big shopping centers, and the reason for purchasing was their good taste. When female consumers purchasedprocessed blue crabs, they checked every part carefully compared to male consumers. Women gavehigh scores to blue crab powder, blue crab extract, blue crab croquette, and blue crab cake compared to men,demonstrating the necessity of developing processed blue crabs. Furthermore, the experienced processed bluecrab group recognized the necessity of developing processed blue crabs compared to the inexperienced group. People showed significant differences in purchasing processed blue crabs according to gender as well as previousexperience of blue crab consumption.

Leuprorelin acetate is a synthetic analog of luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone (LHRH). Recently, hormonedependent tumors (prostate cancer and breast cancer) have been treated without surgery using this LHRH agonist. A 74-year-old man presented with a subcutaneous tumor in the abdomen. He had received a subcutaneous injection of depot leuprorelin acetate 2 months previously and radiotherapy for prostate cancer. The subcutaneous tumor was totally excised. Histopathologic findings revealed necrosis of fat tissue, many granulomatous nodules composed of giant cells with vacuoles in the dermis and subcutis, and inflammatory cell infiltrates, including mainly lymphohistiocytes. A diagnosis of foreign body granuloma due to depot injection of leuprorelin acetate was made. He revisited our hospital after 1 month with a subcutaneous tumor on his Lt. upper arm. He had received a subcutaneous injection of leuprorelin acetate 1 week ago on that site. We treated it with intralesional triamcinolone injection. Here, we report a case of granulomatous reaction due to leuprorelin acetate injection, which produced subcutaneous nodules. (Korean J Dermatol 2016;54(8):634∼637)
한국인의 광노화 피부에서 592 nm 황색 파장 Light Emitting Diode의 치료 효과

Background: As aging occurs, the skin develops more wrinkles and pigmentation, becomes drier, and loses its elasticity. In previous reports, light-emitting diode (LED) phototherapy was proven to stimulate collagen synthesis and accelerate fibroblast-myofibroblast transformation, which has a composite rejuvenation effect. Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of LED phototherapy with 592 nm yellow light for photoaged skin. Methods: Forty patients with photoaged skin (Korean photographic scale; grade 4∼7) were enrolled and treated with an LED device producing 592±10 nm yellow light for 5 minutes twice a week for 4 weeks. The skin changes were assessed at 0, 2, 4, and 8 weeks by clinical photographs and the Cutometer® & Mexameter® (MPA 580, Courage+Khazaka Electronic GmbH, Koln, Germany). Measurements were made on the cheek, periorbital area, nasolabial fold, and glabella. Results: At the final visit at 8 weeks, the Cutometer® parameters R4 and R6 decreased significantly compared to before treatment, from 0.118 to 0.099 for the periorbital (p=0.017) and 0.517 to 0.425 for the nasolabial fold (p=0.003). The average melanin index decreased significantly, from 133.65 to 124.55 (p<0.005). Fine improvement of wrinkles was shown grossly by reviewing follow-up clinical photographs. No adverse reactions occurred. LED phototherapy with 592±10 nm wavelength can be effective and safe in the treatment of photoaged skin. Conclusion: The findings suggest the LED with 592 nm yellow light might be an adjuvant therapeutic tool for photoaged skin. (Korean J Dermatol 2015;53(9):677∼683)

Epidermolysis bullosa acquisita (EBA) is an autoimmune subepidermal blistering disease characterized by the presence of circulating IgG autoantibodies to type VII collagen. Various types of autoimmune blistering disease have been reported in association with psoriasis. A 58-year-old man with a 5-year history of psoriasis vulgaris presented with painful and mildly pruritic erythematous multiple bullae and vesicles. Histopathologically, there was a subepidermal bulla with infiltration of inflammatory cells composed of neutrophils and eosinophils. The salt-split skin indirect immunofluorescence test showed IgG binding to the dermal side of the separation, and immunoblotting using normal human dermal extract revealed antibodies directed against a 290-kDa polypeptide. He was diagnosed with EBA and started medication of oral prednisolone and mycophenolate mofetil. Skin lesions were continuously regressed. Of all the autoimmune blistering diseases coexisting with psoriasis, bullous pemphigoid is the most frequent. However, a few cases of EBA associated with psoriasis have been reported in the literature. We report a rare case of EBA coexisting with psoriasis vulgaris. (Korean J Dermatol 2016;54(6):464∼467)

The results of testing general components, physical property and physical function after having made steamed rice cake by adding eggplant, which caters to consumers’ tastes are as follows. It showed that when eggplant powder content increased, the moisture content of steamed rice cake with eggplant was decreased. It also showed that the lightness value (L) of steamed rice cake with eggplant powder was the highest as 82.75 in the control group. When eggplant powder content increased, the redness (a) and yellowness (b) were increased. From the results of having measured the antioxidant potential over the steamed rice cake with freezing-drying eggplant powder by DPPH radical elimination, we figured out that it was the lowest as 48.30% in the control group. As more eggplant powder was added, its elimination increased accordingly. As per hardness of steamed rice cake with eggplant, the added group with 7% was revealed as the highest at 0.757. It showed that adhesiveness was the lowest as 30.233 in the control group, and springiness and cohesiveness were on the rise as freezing-drying eggplant powder was increased. Furthermore, softness and chewiness were shown to be high in the added group with eggplant powder of 3, 5%. The evaluation over the overall preference was the highest in 5% added group. Judging from this, adding 3~5% eggplant powder against non-glutinous rice powder is considered an optimal quantity in making steamed rice cake with eggplant.
