유리섬유로 강화된 폴리카보네이트의 기계적 물성예측 및 사출성형을 통한 휨의 평가

대부분의 플라스틱 제품은 사출성형을 통해 생산된다. 사출성형에서 성형수축은 피할 수 없으며 이는 제품에휨이나 뒤틀림을 유발하여 제품의 치수정밀도를 떨어뜨리는 요인으로 작용한다. 사출성형 시 발생하는 휨이나 뒤틀림은 성형조건이나 제품의 형상에도 영향을 받지만 수지의 물성에 따라서도 다양하게 나타난다. 본 연구에서는 제품의 휨을 제어하기 위해 폴리카보네이트를 유리섬유로 보강하여 물성을 예측하였으며, 이를 이용하여 사출성형해석을 실시하였다. 사출성형해석을 통해 유리섬유로 보강된 수지에서 제품의 휨이 감소하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구방법의 타당성과 신뢰성을 검증하기 위하여 사출실험을 실시하여 수지의 물성에 따른 휨 값을 분석하였으며해석과 실험에서 유사한 경향의 휨이 발생하는 것을 관찰할 수 있었다. 결론적으로 본 연구에서 수행한 바와 같이해석 프로그램을 통해 수지의 물성을 설계하고 이를 통한 휨의 제어가 가능함을 확인할 수 있었다. Most plastics products are being produced by injection molding process. However, mold shrinkage is inevitablein injection molding process and it deteriorates dimensional quality through deflections and warpages. Mold shrinkagedepends upon the material property of resin as well as injection molding condition. In this study, material propertyof resin has been predicted for glass fiber reinforced polycarbonate to control the warpage, and computer simulation ofinjection molding has been performed using predicted property. It was observed that the deflection of part decreased bythe glass fiber reinforced resin. In order to verify the validity of this method and confidence of results, experiments ofinjection molding were performed. The results of experiments and computer simulations showed good agreement in theirtendency of deflections. Consequently, it was concluded that the method of designing the material property of resin conductedin this study can be utilized to control the dimensional accuracy of injection molded products.
