A 2.4GHz wireless microstrip patch antenna is proposed. It is designed to operate in the 2.401-2.495 GHz band, to be used as a IEEE 802.11/WiFi antenna. High Frequency Structure Simulator software optimetric of HFSS is used to provide the required efficiency of the proposed antenna. Varying the configuration of transmission lines between the horizontal and vertical lines and using both common and separate ground planes of the proposed antenna and transmission lines, return loss and insertion loss of S-parameters of the antennas and transmission lines are simulated and analysed.
