Objective : In this study, we investigated the prevalence of depression and its impact on the healthrelated Quality of life (HRQoL) of the patients with End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) on Hemodialysis. Method : The Quality of life (QOL) of patients was evaluated by HRQoL Questionnaire, "Medical Outcome Survey 36-Item Short Form Health Survey Korean Version (SF-36-K)". The patients on Hemodialysis in ESRD, were chosen from the hemodialytic room at Wonkwang University and Jeongeup-Asan Hospital. The number of patients was 95 (64 from Wonkwang University Hospital and 31 from Jeongeup-Asan Hospital) and all of them were above 19 years old. We performed various investigations to find a statistical correlations between HRQoL and physical & psychosocial factors such as the demographic characteristics, clinical characteristics (hemoglobin level and albumin level etc), and the score of Beck's depressive inventory (BDI). Results : The HRQoL value of patients on hemodialysis in ESRD is far poorer than the HRQoL reference value of Koreans and Americans, who are in normal healthly. The prevalence of depressive symptoms by BDI of the ESRD patients on hemodialysis is 68.6%, and age and depression have negative correlations with HRQoL of the patients. However, education level, serum albumin level, and social support have positive correlations with HRQoL. The patient group with depression has significantly poorer HRQoL than the group without depression. Conclusion : The HRQoL of ESRD patients on hemodialysis is not good in both physical and mental aspects. The prevalence of depression is very high and depression has negative impact of HRQoL of patients. Based on our study, it is essential to accompany with therapeutic Strategy to improve the HRQoL of ESRD patients on hemodialysis.

The purpose of this study is to consider the relation between the deciding factors of local identity and local image improvement. To achieve this purpose, the deciding factors of local identity have been set as the following four: historical identity, cultural identity, (nature) scenery identity, and industrial identity. The writer has established a model to represent the relation between these factors and the local image improvement, namely 'Visitor Satisfaction' and 'Revisit Intentions', and framed a hypothesis for empirical verification. The study results are as follows: First, the deciding factors of local identity which this study addressed are empirically proven to have a significant effect on the visitor satisfaction and the intention to revisit in which is it likely that the greater the impact of the deciding factors, the higher the visitor satisfaction and revisit intentions would be. Second, the deciding factors of local identity, it appears that the 'historical identity' factor had the largest impact on the visitor satisfaction, and the 'cultural identity' factor had the largest impact on the revisit intentions. Therefore, of the four deciding factors, the 'historical identity' should be considered the highest priority to increase the visitor satisfaction, and the 'cultural identity' should be considered the highest priority to increase the revisit intentions. Third, based on the verification of the relation between the visitor satisfaction and revisit intentions, it can be presumed that the greater the visitor satisfaction, the higher the revisit intentions would be.

청소년기에서 발생한 원발성 위 림프종 1례

저자들은 2주간의 간헐적 상복부 동통과 식욕결핍을 호소하는 15세 남아에서 위 내시경과 조직 생검으로 진단된 원발성 위 림프종 1례를 경험하였기에 문헌 고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Primary gastric lymphoma is relatively uncommon, accounting for 3% to 8% of all malignancies arising in the stomach. The most common symptom is abdominal pain, closely followed by weight loss, anorexia, weakness due to anemia, nausea, and vomiting. The diagnosis of gastric lymphoma usually requires a biopsy at the time of gastroscopy or laparotomy. Microscopically, the vast majority of gastric lymphoid tumors are non-Hodgkin's lymphomas of B cell origin. Survival rates for all types of gastric lymphoma generally exceed those for adenocarcinoma and other malignancies of the stomach. We experienced one case of primary gastric lymphoma in puberty with a brief review of the literature.

물의 주거로서 더 갤러리 카사 델 아구아에 구현된 리카르도 레고레타의 건축언어

The Gallery of Casa del Agua in Jeju Island was demolished by Jeju local government on March 6 in the last year. In the meanwhile, a lot of people including the architectural field had denied the demolition. Regardless of sustained efforts in order that the building could be preserved as a work, Jeju government ended up with demolishing the gallery. The Gallery of Casa del Agua was a temporary building constructed as a model house of Casa del Agua. As the remaining period of the temporary building had passed, it was on the verge of demolition by Jeju government. Casa del Agua is 'dwelling of water' in Korean, and the building was the last posthumous work of Mexican architect Ricardo Legorreta. Knowing from the expression of 'dwelling of water', this house is a dwelling work of him. Through this work, his architecture languages that he had pursued contained in dwelling could be looked into. This study examined the background and course of demolition of the Gallery of Casa del Agua, 'dwelling of water' and arranged problems in the course of demolition. Then, the fact that the Gallery of Casa del Agua as an architecture work of Ricardo Legorreta included his architecture languageswas analyzed. For this, his universalarchitecture languages were examined and how the architecture languages were applied to the Gallery of Casa del Agua was analyzed. As a result, it could be known that languages of composition and languages of emotion consistently shown in his works were represented in the Gallery of Casa del Agua.

진공 하에서 전기방사된 부직포의 특성에 대한 연구

The exploitation of technologies based on electro spinning have been limited due to poor understanding of the process and consequent limitation in process control, productivity and reproducibility. To control the effect of the environmental parameter, which is one of important electro spinning parameters, the vacuum process was introduced because the magnitude of electric field in vacuum is not limited by the low dielectric breakdown strength of air. For this study, PCL dissolved in a mixture of N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF) and methylene chloride (MC) was electrospun as a form of nonwoven mats consisting of nano-sized fibers under vacuum and they have been analyzed using SEM and DSC. The PCL nonwoven mats via electrospinning under vacuum showed the characteristic spinning behavior observed at atmospheric pressure. In addition, results obtained from tensile test showed that PCL nonwoven mats via electro­spinning under vacuum have better mechanical properties than those prepared at atmospheric pressure.

The effects of oxygen and hydrogen on the surface morphology of MgO films deposited by ion-plating

The effects of oxygen and hydrogen on the surface morphology of MgO films, deposited by ion-plating, which is the protective layer of plasma display panels (PDP), were investigated. The surface morphology and crystalline planes were influenced not by the amount of oxygen but by the amount of hydrogen; the shapes and sizes of grains were changed from small triangles (50 nm), to large triangles (100-200 nm), to lozenge-shapes (100 nm), and then to very small (under 20 nm) round shapes with increasing amounts of hydrogen. The preferred orientations of the MgO films were (111) and (222) without hydrogen. However, (111) and (222) peaks decreased, and (200) planes appeared, with larger amounts of hydrogen. The crystallinity of the MgO film was hardly detected in the case when excess hydrogen (over 90 sccm) was introduced.

Fetal bovine serum (FBS) is an essential element of cell growth and can also affect the viral replication. In this study, we tried to find out whether FBS concentration affects the viral infectivity titer of IHNV and IPNV. EPC cells were suspended with MEM supplemented with various concentrations of FBS (MEM0, MEM2, MEM5 and MEM10) and cultured in 96-well plate. Each virus was 10-fold diluted virus and inoculated in 96-well plate. The highest infectivity titer of IHNV was $10^{7.88}\;TCID_{50}/mL$ in 96-well plate using MEM5 and the lowest one was $10^{7.30}\;TCID_{50}/mL$ in 96-well plate using MEM10. The highest infectivity titer of IPNV was $10^{7.47}\;TCID_{50}/mL$ in 96-well plate using MEM5 and the lowest one was $10^{6.97}\;TCID_{50}/mL$ in 96-well plate using MEM10. This study showed that not only 0% FBS but 10% FBS leads low infectivity titer of IHNV and IPNV. Therefore, it is considered that the desirable concentration of FBS is 2% or 5% for measurement of infectivity titer of IHNV and IPNV.

스펙트럼 도메인 빛간섭단층촬영에서 발생하는 오류

Purpose: To report frequencies of image artifacts associated with spectral-domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) and to evaluate the impact of artifacts on foveal thickness measurements. Methods: This retrospective study included 267 eyes of 267 patients who underwent OCT volume scanning using Spectralis HRA+OCT (Heidelberg Engineering, Heidelberg, Germany). Macular volume scans of normal and diseased eyes were systematically evaluated for image artifacts within each scan overall and within the center 1-mm area. The frequency of each artifact type was compared for scans stratified by diagnosis category. Results: Among the volume scans, 79.4% had at least 1 artifact overall, and 26.6% had at least 1 artifact in the center 1-mm area. The highest percentage of inner retina misidentification occurred in the epiretinal membrane (36.1%), whereas the highest percentage of outer retina misidentification occurred in neovascular age-related macular degeneration (wet AMD, 40.0%). Clinically significant artifacts involving the center 1-mm area were observed in 6.4% of volume scans and were most common in wet AMD (43.3%). Conclusions: Image artifacts in SD-OCT volume scanning are common, but relatively less common in the center 1-mm area of scans. Clinicians should carefully review scans for artifacts when using SD-OCT images and retinal thickness measurements because clinically significant artifacts may affect retinal thickness measurements.
