Is philosophy necessary for biomedical ethics? Traditionally, ethics has been considered a field within philosophy, but it is necessary to examine whether applied ethics, as a subset, also falls under the umbrella of philosophy. At least in terms of the current state of biomedical ethics, it's challenging to suggest that it should be practiced exclusively as a philosophical endeavor. One paper summarizes three reasons why philosophy remains important to bioethics. First, bioethics is still pervaded with philosophical concepts. Second, new developments in biomedical science demand philosophical consideration. Third, novel theories emerging from philosophy continually renew bioethics. While these arguments demonstrate the contributions philosophy can make to biomedical ethics, they do not prove its essentiality or secure its place within the field. In this context, philosophy is but one of many components that comprise bioethics. We propose that the task of philosophy should be to critique biomedical ethics, particularly its conceptions of biology and medicine. We illustrate this with an argument from philosophical posthumanism. This task is unique to philosophy and cannot be substituted by any other discipline, thereby establishing its indispensable role in bioethics and empowering it to address questions that we currently face. 오늘날 생명의료윤리에서 철학이 필요한가? 전통적으로 윤리학은 철학에 속하는 분야로 여겨져 왔으나, 응용윤리 분야 또한 철학에 속하는지는 점검이 필요하다. 적어도 생명의료윤리 분야의 현재 상황을 볼 때, 해당 분야는 반드시 철학으로만 수행되어야 한다고 보기 어렵다. 한 논문은 이런 상황에 있어 여전히 철학이 생명의료윤리에서 중요한 이유를 세 가지로 정리한다. 첫째, 생명의료윤리는 여전히 철학적 개념으로 편만하다. 둘째, 의과학의 새로운 발전은 철학적 고찰을 요구한다. 셋째, 철학에서 등장하는 새로운 이론들이 생명의료윤리를 쇄신한다. 본 논문은 이 세 가지 주장이 비록 여전히 생명의료윤리에 철학이 할 수 있는 기여를 보여준다 해도, 철학의 필수성 또는 자리의 확실성을 증명하지는 못한다고 주장한다. 이때, 철학은 생명의료윤리를 구성하는 여러 요소 중 하나가 될 뿐이다. 오히려, 철학은 생명의료윤리, 특히 그 생명과 의료 개념을 비판하는 작업이 되어야 한다고 이 논문은 주장하며, 그 예로서 철학적 포스트휴머니즘을 경유한 비판을 제시하였다. 이 과업은 다른 학문이 대체할 수 없는 철학 고유의 것으로서 생명의료윤리에서 철학의 위치를 불가결하게 만듦과 동시에 현재 우리가 겪고 있으면서도 아직 분야가 제대로 답하지 못하는 문제를 다룰 수 있는 힘을 부여할 수 있다.
경중량 수직형 충격 시험 장비의 선형 동역학 모델 수립을 통한 충격 시험 설계 기법에 관한 연구

Naval surface ships and submarines could be exposed to non-contact underwater explosion(UNDEX) environment. Equipment installed on the ships and submarines could be damaged by shock load generated by UNDEX environment. Therefore, shock survivability of equipment generally evaluated by shock tests. Ground based shock test machine such as Light weight shock test machine(LVSM) is developed to simulate shock load caused by UNDEX environment. In this study, linear dynamic model of LVSM is proposed and evaluated to improve shock test design procedure. Parameters of the model are decided by optimizing time domain response compared to zero payload experiment. Proposed model is verified by comparing simulation results and test results of maximum payload experiment. Finally, shock test design using the model is described for various test equipment weight.

Despite the ubiquity of systems with heterogeneous connectivity, the role of inhomogeneity on network synchronization has not been fully explored. We studied the eect of multiple inhomo- geneities in coupling strengths and natural frequencies on the phase locking behaviors of coupled oscillators. In particular, we found that dierent Gaussian distributions in natural frequencies lead to diverse synchronization states of the coupled oscillator systems. With the stability analysis and numerical simulations, we analysed the transitions between synchronization states and its breakup in detail.
코로나19와 구조적 부정의: 아이리스 영의 사회적 연결 모델과 팬데믹 해결을 위한 책임

South Korea is considered one of the countries that effectively responded to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, it has raised the issue that the country’s quarantine policy concentrated damage on some classes, especially minority groups. The world made efforts to distribute the COVID-19 vaccine fairly, even before its development. However, distribution inequality occurs, and a large percentage of vaccine production has been transported to high-income countries. These harms happened even though nations or institutions did not intend to injury a particular group or state, and it was difficult to hold anyone responsible, resulting in these issues being ignored by the many who did not suffer. This paper explains this state of affairs based on the concept of structural injustice by Iris Young and attempts to examine that everyone in the society is responsible for rectifying it. To this end, we review recent work on the structural injustice and the social connection model explaining the responsibilities arising in such situations, examine what caused structural injustice in each case, and perform tasks to urge collective action for transformation. In particular, the paper presents a new interpretation of the social connection model through the issues of the pandemic, which confer biological-political responsibilities on individuals.
다변량 분석을 통한 분석 도구 소프트웨어 성능 비교 연구

With the development of the Internet environment, SNS, search portal sites and various internet media have started to produce unstructured data. In addition, as the information technology developed, the storage disk can be easily obtained by the sudden price drop of the storage medium. This has led to the era of big data that can collect, analyze, utilize and predict existing structured data and unstructured data on a large storage disk. The various collected data are used in various fields. Distribution, and marketing to medical services. As the accumulated data is diversified, the reliability of the predictable probability increases and the value of the data increases. Recently, it is important to understand how fast and accurate the same data can be analyzed due to the distribution of enough storage disks. For this purpose, each company and organization develops various analysis tools, but the performance of analytical tools that handle them when analyzing large amounts of data is not considered important. As a representative analysis tool software, there are SPSS for commercial software and R for open source software. However, research on the performance of both analysis tools is lacking. In this paper, we aim to compare data analysis performance through multivariate analysis of mass data for commercial software and open source analysis tool, and to help selection of more useful analysis tools.
