The purpose of this study is to investigate the change and characteristics of the thermal characteristics of the Hamsil Agungi Ondol and the Cauldron Agungi Ondol among the traditional Ondol, which is a residential heating method in Korea. An actual mockup was produced and the temperature was measured for 72 hours at 10-minute intervals for 3 days from March 2, 2020 to March 4, 2020. As a result of measuring by attaching 10 thermometers to the indoor surface, the average temperature of the Hamsil Agungi ondol was 23.98℃, and the average temperature of the cauldron Agungi ondol was 18.08℃. That is, the cauldron Agungi ondol showed 75.39% efficiency compared to the hamsil Agungi ondol and the hamsil Agungi ondol showed 1.3 times more efficiency than the cauldron Agungi ondol.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the thermal flow changes and thermal characteristics of the heating chamber furnace ondol and the cooking stove cauldron furnace ondol among traditional ondol for eco-friendly residential application. The experiment conducted for the study was to measure the heat flow change of the furnace ondol and the stove cauldron ondol, 9 thermometers are attached to the left and right 75cm intervals around the floor surface, and a total of 10 temperatures are measured at 10-minute intervals from March 2, 2020 to March 4, 2020.It was found that the heating and discharging furnace ondol was 1.3 times more efficient than the cooking stove cauldron furnace ondol.

The function of the traditional Ondol is a floor radiant heating method based on heat storage, which traps heat on the floor of the room and creates a space for heat storage. The effect of the presence or absence of Gorae Gaejari on the efficiency of floor heating was tested by making a real model. In addition, the following conclusions were obtained by comparing the thermal efficiency of the ondol through comparison of the porcupine and porcupine, which are representative Gorae.

An ectopic parathyroid gland is a major cause of persistent and recurrent hyperparathyroidism. Surgical success depends on accurate preoperative localization of the parathyroid adenoma. We herein report the case of a 52-year-old male patient who suffered from primary hyperparathyroidism for several years. He initially presented with urinary frequency, hypercalcemia, and a ureter stone. Ultrasonography and a 99mTc-sestamibi scan were performed, but failed to localize the parathyroid lesion. Four years later, the patient revisited our hospital, complaining of general weakness, headache, dyspepsia, and recurrent urinary symptoms secondary to persistent primary hyperparathyroidism. In addition, renal function was decreased and severe osteoporosis was found. We performed a 99mTc-sestamibi scan with single photon emission computed tomography (99mTc-MIBI SPECT) and contrast- enhanced neck CT, and detected an ectopic parathyroid adenoma in the upper anterior mediastinum. In conclusion, the combination of both 99mTc-MIBI SPECT and neck CT could permit better preoperative parathyroid localization, especially for mediastinal adenomas. (Korean J Med 2012;83:641-646)
