        Glucagon과 insulin이 glutathione 항상성에 미치는 영향: 세포신호전달체계 및 glutathione transport system의 역할

        It has been reported that hepatic glutathione (GSH) levels are decreased in diabetic patients, and glucagon increases hepatic efflux of GSH into blood. The signaling pathways responsible for mediating the glucagon effects on GSH efflux, however, are unknown. The signaling pathways involved in the regulation of GSH efflux in response to glucagon and insulin were examined in primary cultured rat hepatocytes. The GSH concentrations in the culture medium were markedly increased by the addition of glucagon, although cellular GSH levels are significantly decreased by glucagon. Insulin was also increased the GSH concentrations in the culture medium, but which is reflected in elevations of both cellular GSH and protein. Treatment of cells with 8-bromo-cAMP or dibutyryl-cAMP also resulted in elevation of the GSH concentrations in the culture medium. Pretreatment with H89, a selective inhibitor of protein kinase A, before glucagon addition markedly attenuated the glucagon effect. These results suggest that glucagon changes GSH homeostasis via elevation of GSH efflux, which may be responsible for decrease in hepatic GSH levels observed in diabetic condition. Furthermore, the present study implicates cAMP and protein kinase A in mediating the effect of glucagon on GSH efflux in primary cultured rat hepatocytes.

        조희순의 문학연구 -생애와 문학 활동을 중심으로

        글쓴이는 지금까지 1930년대 서구문화를 본격적으로 수용하면서 한국의 근대 연극 발현에 지대한 역할을 한 조희순의 삶과 문학 활동에 대해서 고찰해 보았다. 먼저, 조희순을 우리 문학사로 끌어 올리는 첫 단계로 그의 삶과 문학 활동을 문헌과 기초 자료를 통해서 복원하였다. 그의 삶은 문단활동과 실업가의 길로 둘로 나누어진다. 그의 문단활동은 동경 유학에서 돌아온 1929년 12월부터 시작되었다. 그는 1930년 본격적으로 신문과 잡지 매체에 이름을 올렸다. 그의 문단활동이 좀 더 구체화된 것은 「극예술연구회」창립에 동참하면서 부터이다. 조희순의 문단활동은 1936년 7월에 멈춰져 있다. 문단에서 행적을 감춘 조희순은 ‘조선전업(현 한국전력)’의 부사장을 거쳐 ‘남선전기’의 사장으로 취임하게 된다. 다음으로 조희순의 갈무리된 문학 활동 가운데 평론들을 작가비평, 문예비평, 공연 비평으로 나뉘어 살펴보았다. 첫째, 조희순의 작가 비평 글에서는 항상 실증주의적 입장을 취하고 있다. 그의 작가비평은 단순한 인과관계로 모든 것을 단정 내릴 수밖에 없는 한계점과 괴테 수용 과정에서 괴테를 이상화하고 이념적으로 활용했다는 평가를 받고 있다. 하지만 조희순의 작가비평은 작가의 삶과 문학작품을 구체적이고 체계적으로 전달하였다. 둘째, 조희순의 문예비평은 독일 문단에 관한 글들이 대부분인데, 정치·사회적 과도기적 상황 아래에 처해 있는 독일 문단의 동향을 전해주는 역할을 했다. 물론 지나치게 많은 작품들을 나열하여 비평의 주제가 흐려지는 경향을 지적할 수 있다. 하지만 이러한 독일 문단의 흐름을 통해서 다양한 사조와 경향에 대한 이해를 높여 주었다. 셋째, 조희순의 공연비평은 표현주의와 자연주의 수용했다는 점이다. 그는 당시 대중화되지 않았던 표현주의 극작품을 가져와 무대에 올렸고, 그에 대한 이론과 기초 지식을 설명해주었다. 게다가 자연주의 작품을 통하여 근대로 가고 있는 조선 사회의 개혁성을 설명해주고 있다. 조희순은 한국 근대 초기 독일 극문학을 배우고 그것을 한국에 소개하여 다양한 신극운동에 힘썼던 평론가 가운데 한 명이다. 그는「극예술연구회」활동의 일환인 공연과 강습을 통해 조선연극 인구의 저변 확대에도 기여하였다. 게다가 여러 갈래의 외국작품을 번역하여 다양한 서양문화 이입에도 적극적이었다. 이처럼 조희순의 문학은 독일 극문학 이입사뿐만 아니라 근대 연극 형성에 전신자적 역할을 했던 것이다. An author studied Cho, hee-sun`s Literature activity and life that played a role about developing a Korean modern play as accepting the Western culture from 1930 until now. As a first stage, Cho`s literature activity was restored by means of basic data and an old document. Cho`s life could be divided into two parts as the literary world or a businessman. His literature activity had started since he came back form Tokyo in December 1929. He held a lecture teacher of Kyoungsung women medicine vocational school and a German language professor of Kyoungsung pharmacy vocational school as inserting articles in newspaper and magazine. His literary world was more specific after joining the dramatic art a society for the research. Cho took up the president Namsun electricity after a vice president of Korea the electrical industry. He stopped the literary world forever. Next, Cho`s review among his literary activities was studied through the writer criticism, Literature criticism, play criticism. First, his writer criticism always took position as positivism. It had a limit which couldn`t justify simple cause and effect. Also it was evaluated with idealizing and using Goethe`s philosophy. However, his writer criticism showed the writer`s life and literary works concretely and systematically. Second, his literature criticism took a view German literary world. Especially, It played a role to show politic and social transition period of German. It recited many works so his literature criticism was pointed for the subject become weak. However, It enhanced understanding various trends of literature through the flow of German literary world. Third, Cho`s play criticism accepted expressionism and naturalism. He staged expressionism works that were not popular and explained theirs theory and basic knowledge. In addition, he insisted on reforming the Joseon Dynasty through naturalism works. Cho learned German dramatic literature of Korea early modern, introduced it to Korea and made an effort to enhance The new-drama movement. He contributed to increasing the number of population of Joseon` play through a play and a lesson that were a part of The dramatic art a society for the research. In addition, he was enthusiastic about introducing the various western culture by translating many foreign works. Therefore, His literature was considered to be The empathy history and also to be a pioneer role of forming modern play.

        The three-dimensional structures of piroxicam crystallized from two different solvents, toluene and toluene/hexane mixture respectively, are proved identical: $C_{15}H_{13}N_3O_4S,\;M\;=\;331.35$, monoclinic, a = 7.128(1), b = 15.146(2), c = 13.956(2) ${\AA},\;{\beta}=\;97.33(1)^{\circ},\;V\;=\;1494.37{\AA}^{3},\;Dx\;=\;1.472\;g/cm^{3},\;Z\;=\;4,\;space\;group\;P2_{1}/c,\;Mo\;K{\alpha}(\lambda=\;0.71073\;{\AA})$, F(000) = 688, T = 295 K, R = 0.0611 for 1993 unique observed reflections. The thiazine ring exhibits a half chair conformation. An amide group is involved in an intramolecular hydrogen bond to the hydroxy group, O(17)-H(17)${\cdots}O(15){\AA}$. The molecule is planar within 2 ${\AA}$ with the interplanar angle $127.9(4)^{\circ}$ between pyridine and benzene rings. A molecular chain parallel to [011] is formed by two intermolecular hydrogen bonds N(16)-H(6)${\cdots}O(11)$ and C(6)-H(6)${\cdots}O(11)$, and the molecular chains are held together by van der Waals forces.

        한국 개화기 기독교학교 교과서의 서지학적 연구

        The opening period of Korea was the period of modernisation amidst the conflicts between conservative and progressive sections with penetration of Western powers after 1876. With the opening modernisation accompanied modernisation of education. Missionary schools established by protestant missionaries played a crucial role in educational modernisation in the period of opening. In this article, the process of educational modernisation and the ways in which the ideas of democracy and equality were taught in the earliest schools, Paejae, Ewha, Kyoungsin and Chungsin are analysed through the method of bibliographical investigation of the textbooks used by these schools. No textbook prior to 1900 was found and in general there were no textbooks such as we know today. Usually English reading material and the Bible were the main teaching materials. Teachers kept their own copies of hand-written texts which were translated versions of American textbook. Since the same teacher taught in a number of schools, they shared same curriculum. In the early period, English Bible was taught so that English and the Bible lessons were not separated but gradually history and geography were added. Teaching of Hangul, and Korean history were added to encourage the sense of national identity and patriotism. In the case of Chungsin, for biology class, pupils were sent to Che-jung-won to learn human physiology, chemistry and physics, which shows an emphasis on science education. Vocational education was carried out; in the case of Paejae, a printing workshop was set up enabling students to earn some money at the same time as learning. Also in Kyungsin, skills of woodwork and basket weaving were stressed. Ewha also held a bazaar of the work made in sewing classes. Establishment of missionary schools brought about a great contribution in modernising Korean society and the Christian spiritual education of these schools lay the foundation for building democracy in Korea.

      • Fucoidan의 Oxy-radical 포획능 평가

        Algal fucoidan is a marine polysaccharide containing sulfur with a wide variety of biological activities including anti-inflammatory and anti-thrombotic effects. Although antioxidants can inhibit inflammatory signals through inhibiting activator protein-1 and/or nuclear factor-kappaB activation, it is obscure whether fucoidan directly scavenges oxy-radicals or indirectly regulates oxidant production and/or antioxidant defense system The antioxidant activities of fucoidan against peroxyl radicals, peroxynitrites and hydroxyl radicals were determined by the total oxy-radical scavenging capacity (TOSC) assay. The specific TOSC values of fucoidan against peroxyl radicals, peroxynitrites or hydroxyl radicals were 282±60, 43±1 or 40±1 TOSC/mg/mL, respectively. These specific TOSC values against peroxyl radicals, peroxynitrites or hydroxyl radicals are 23, 12, or 13% of the specific TOSC values of glutathione, a positive control, respectively. These results suggest that fucoidan has direct oxy-radical scavenging capacity, which may be related with anti-inflammatory effect of fucoidan.
