This study conducted a meta-analysis to integrate research on the prevention of depressive symptoms and to suggest practical basis developing more effective programs for children and adolescents. This study estimated the average effect size of the depressive symptoms prevention programs and the difference of the effect size across the moderators. Published articles and dissertations were reviewed and synthesized with meta-analysis. All 72 studies that met inclusion criteria were included. Comprehensive Meta-Analysis 2.0 software was used for meta-analysis. Main results of this study are as follow. First, calculating the average effect size across all studies, the average effect of depressive symptoms, anxiety, suicide thought, and self-esteem used as outcome variables of depressive symptoms prevention programs were moderate. Second, the effect size of anxiety was heterogenous across studies, whereas the effect size of depressive symptoms, suicide thought, and self-esteem was not homogenous across studies. The results of moderator analysis are as follow. (1) Only participant age was significant predictor of effect size at the anxiety. (2) Type of prevention program was a significant predictor of effect size at the depressive symptoms and suicide thought, and selective prevention programs were most effective. (3) Contents of prevention programs was a significant predictor of effect size just only at the self-esteem. At the effect size, reality therapy was most effective, followed by cognitive behavioral contents, art activation contents using arts(music, meditation, reading) and gestalt therapy. (4) Group size was not a significant predictor of effect size at the depressive symptom, suicide thought and self-esteem. (5) Intervention duration was a significant moderator of effect size at the depressive symptoms and the effect size of the longer intervention programs 10 session the length of a session was significantly higher. Programs more than 60minutes per one session produced stronger effect sizes, meanwhile ware not significant. Based on the findings, the implications for policy and practice were discussed.

This study examines the debating of the implementation of North Korean socialists after liberation. we distinguish between “non-capitalist development theory” and “capitalism to socialist transition theory” based on the discussions of Marx and Lenin on the transition of socialism. And this theory is compared with the socialist implementation routes such as Soviet armed forces, Chosun Communist Party, anchurian partisan groups, and China Communist `Yen-an` groups. In addition, according to the position of each socialist group, the process of the debating which was developed during the period was summarized by focusing on the land reform, the establishment contest of the Chosun Labor Party, and the Second Congress of the Chosun Labor Party. As a result, the Soviet Union did not intend to shift rapidly to socialism based on the “theory of non - capitalist development”, and Manchuria partisan groups and China Communist `Yen-an` groups were also following “non - capitalist development”. The Chosun Communist Party was in the position of “Socialist Transition in Capitalism”. However, during the period of land reform, the Chosun Communist Party changed its position according to the intention of the Soviet Union, but its influence still influenced the activities of the Chosun Communist Party. Until the establishment of the Chosun Labor Party, the progressive socialist implementation was pursued in accordance with the “non-capitalist development line”, but after the capitalist economic realm threatened the socialist economic realm, the rapid transition to socialism was promoted. As a result, the Second Congress of the Chosun Labor Party began to pursue a rapid socialist transition in line with the “transition from capitalism to socialism.“
