Prolonged endurance exercise training is known to lowering oxidative damage during exercise. Therefore, we examined the effects of endurance exercise training on antioxidants enzymes activities in rats. Rats were trained on the treadmill with 1 % incline, 28m/min, 1h/day, and 5d/wk for 6 wks in the trained group (TR). Sedentary group did not perform the endurance exercise training (NT). They were decapitated at before and after exercise. Then, liver, heart, soleus muscle, gastrocnemius red and white muscle samples were collected for malondialdehyde (MDA) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) analysis. Students t-test was performed as the statistical analysis. Endurance exercise training has significantly reduced MDA concentrations in liver, heart, and gastrocnemius muscle. In addition, SOD concentration was significantly increased in liver, heart, soleus muscle, gastrocnemius red and white muscle. These results suggest that endurance exercise training reduced the risk of lipid peroxidation during exercise in rats.

This study was conducted for a more in-depth, directed doping research through the analysis of doping research trend in Korea. This was attributed from the necessity of balanced development of academics by identifying research trends to learn the past and present interests, predict the future and find out neglected academic fields. 76 research materials published since 2008 to present were chosen as study subjects, and only the registered or candidate materials on the National Research Foundation were chosen. The l ast 10 years o f research materials were chosen because Korea Anti-doping Agency was established in 2006 and started its official activities in 2007, the period after systemized doping was settled. Also, the year after 2007 was chosen because there were similar researches analyzing the doping research trends as now. In analyzing papers, a checklist on analysis materials were written to suggest a clear standard, and four experts reconciled their opinions through a discussion. The detailed analysis result showed that the research consisted of analysis on athletes’ awareness or consciousness of doping, research on the legal problems of doping, and research on the ethical problems of doping. However, there were no enough researches on instructors or coaches instead of athletes and doctors or oriental medicine doctors, and ethical issue research focused more on certain theories (western ethics), lacking balance throughout. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct more balanced research for a future-oriented, developmental research in the doping field.

This study discussed the relationship between the concept of Ubermensch maintained by Nietzsche and an ascetic, a human character ultimately pursued in martial arts. To this end, Nietzsche`s overall thought and a view of human body were examined and the background that Nietzsche had maintained the concept of Ubermensch was presented. The specific concept of Ubermensch was understood and its correlation with oriental thought was discussed. The concept of martial arts was first defined to find a point of contact between the martial arts derived from the traditional orient and Nietzsche`s Ubermensch. Related terms similarly used were organized as a comprehensive concept called martial arts and defined as a means utilized to pursue the ultimate stage. Moo-Do focus on self-discipline. On the other hand, Moo-Ye pursues the form of motions, while Moo-Sul emphasizes competitive factors such as sparring or competition with the other party. Consequently, it means that a person reaches the same stage if these factors reach the ultimate state. An ascetic can be a person who reaches an ultimate state in the martial way. The concept of an ascetic and Ubermensch were compared and contrasted in this study. This study is an argument that the relationship between Ubermensch and an ascetic is discussed and the possibility of cultural exchanges and academic communication between the East and the West is also presented.

All sports as well as the martial arts represented by Judo, Taekwondo, and Ssireum are based on the fairness. And all the provisions of the various sports are also based on the fairness. However, a question may be raised whether these provisions are fairly applied to all the players. In particular, all players of the combat sports, or martial arts, including Judo, are regulated by the weight class competitions, which means there being a difference in the performance caused by the difference in the weight class. In addition to the combat sports, there are so many events in which various physical differences are revealed. Tall players must have a decided advantage in basketball and volleyball and black athletes are strong in the athletic tracks while swimming remains dominated to a remarkable degree by white athletes, which implies that the physical conditions more favorable for a specific event are ,to some extent, divided. Weight classes in the combat sports are divided by these factors, which is to supplement the performance issue. However, what`s been lost sight of here is that the divided weight classes could create the dysfunctionality which eliminates the characteristics of the event. The elementary proposition of Judo is that something mild overpowers and overcomes something strong, which is the exquisite principle of Judo. This may be called the essence of Judo. And furthermore, it may be the essence of the martial arts. Thus, new approach to the provisions of the weight classes in Judo is considered to be necessary, which is based on the essence of Judo and helps to strengthen the fairness in Judo games.

The purpose of this study is to conduct an in-depth examination on the anti-doping tendency of elite Judo athletes. As a characteristic of Judo event, doping is not only focused on improving athletic performance but can also be used as a means for participation. It is necessary to analyze which factors have greater effect in Judo based on this characteristic, and further to specifically discuss tasks that can be suggested. Among elite Judo athletes in city A, 10 athletes were selected as final subjects of this study using purposeful sampling, a type of non-probability sampling. The results of this study are as follows. First, athletes showed very high awareness about doping. Second, as a characteristic of Judo event, they were greatly tempted to dope by the desire for participation. Third, many of them decide not to engage in doping due to the fear of getting caught from doping test. Once such thoughts are habituated and ethical education is enforced, individuals would be able to foster morality by regarding anti-doping as an inner virtue.

This study was performed to aquarobics exercise targets women aged 65 years or older at the impact of dementia risk factors in the blood and brain wave activity bands. For this purpose, the separation of the target person in the control group (CON, n=12) and the aquarobics exercise group (AQA, n=12) was applied to the motion program 24 weeks. In the case of dementia risk factors in blood homocysteine and serum amyloid-β at concentrations of AQA group, whereas significantly decreased post, BDNF was significantly increased(p<.05). Also, did not differ between the groups, it showed a difference in time(p<.05). On the other hand, changes in the apolipoprotein did not show a significant difference among the groups and time. The bands were changes in the EEG is specifically significant increase in T4 at the electrode area for the Alpha(α) waves and wake zone that corresponds to the tension and relaxation area in the AQA group. In conclusion, in this study, aquarobics exercise applied to older women to be able to have a positive effect on the central autonomic nervous system through the brain active through the improvement of brain waves to improve the blood dementia-related factors, as well as stabilizing and awakening and resistance to stress it is thought. However, in order to identify the specific effects dementia than for aquarobics exercise program than the application of a variety of sports, as well as the future it will be to get out to clarify this through a multifaceted approach to dementia causes.
