염수환경에 의한 UPN139 탄소/에폭시 복합재 물성치 변화 연구

Experiments were performed to investigate the effect of salt water on the mechanical properties of UPN-139 carbon-epoxy composite after 0, 1, 3, 6, 9 and 12 months immersion in 3.5% salt water. Waterproof painting and sealing tape were applied to protect the water absorption on the both cutting sides and taps of specimens. Test results show that while the tensile properties in fiber and matrix direction did not decrease considerably until 12 months of immersion, shear strength and modulus decreased gradually from nine months of the immersion. The reduction of shear strength and modulus were 9.5% and 10.8% of the values of dry specimens without exposure to salt water, respectively .

복합재료가 항공기 구조물 및 기계 부품등에 폭 넓게 적용됨에 따라, 복합재료 구조물에서 가장 취약한 복합재료 체결부의 설계는 매우 중요한 연구분야로 대두되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 동일 적층순서를 가지는 복합재료 기계적 체결부의 강도를 예측하기 위하여 파괴면적지수법을 제안하고 복합재료 체결부의 강도를 예측하였다. 제안된 파괴면적지수법에 의하여 기계적 체결구조를 갖는 복합재료의 강도를 예측한 결과, 6.03%내에서 체결부의 강도를 예측할 수 있었다. With the wide application of fiber-reinforced composite material in aero-structures and mechanical parts, the design of composite joint have become a very important research area because they are often the weakest areas in composite structures. In this paper, the failure area index method to predict the strength of the mechanically fastened composite joint which has the same stacking sequence was suggested and evaluated. By the suggested failure area index method, the strength of the mechanically fastened composite joint could be predicted within 6.03%.
