Since the surface roughness of adherends affects much the strength of adhesivelybonded joints, the effect of surface roughness on the fatigue life of adhesively bonded tubular single lap joints was investigated analytically and experimentally by fatigue torsion test. The stiffness of the interfacial layer between adherends and adhesive was modeled as a normal statistical distribution function of surface roughness of adherends. From the investigation, it was found that the optimum surface roughness of adherends for the fatigue strength of tubular single lap joints was dependent on bondthickness and applied load.
DNN-based LTE Signal Propagation Modelling for Positioning Fingerprint DB Generation

In this paper, we propose a signal propagation modeling technique for generating a positioning fingerprint DB based on Long Term Evolution (LTE) signals. When a DB is created based on the location-based signal information collected in an urban area, gaps in the DB due to uncollected areas occur. The spatial interpolation method for filling the gaps has limitations. In addition, the existing gap filling technique through signal propagation modeling does not reflect the signal attenuation characteristics according to directions occurring in urban areas by considering only the signal attenuation characteristics according to distance. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a Deep Neural Network (DNN)-based signal propagation functionalization technique that considers distance and direction together. To verify the performance of this technique, an experiment was conducted in Seocho-gu, Seoul. Based on the acquired signals, signal propagation characteristics were modeled for each method, and Root Mean Squared Errors (RMSE) was calculated using the verification data to perform comparative analysis. As a result, it was shown that the proposed technique is improved by about 4.284 dBm compared to the existing signal propagation model. Through this, it can be confirmed that the DNN-based signal propagation model proposed in this paper is excellent in performance, and it is expected that the positioning performance will be improved based on the fingerprint DB generated through it.
유한요소법을 이용한 면심입방정금속의 변형 집합조직 예측

An approximate procedure based on a combination micro-macroscopic theories of plasticity for predicting the crystallographic texture during the plane strain forming of fcc metals has been developed. This procedure is divided into two steps. Firstly, we extract the history of the deformation gradient at all deformed elements with a elasto-plastic finite element method using isotropic plasticity model. Secondly, we use this deformation gradient history to predict the crystallographic deformation texture based on the Bishop-Hill theory. Renouard and Wintenberger' method is chosen for selecting the active slip systems. The predicted results have been compared with reported experimental results. The calculated results are in good agreement with their results.
한 환자에서 실패한 임플란트 부착장치들의 원인과 이중관 임플란트 피개 의치의 적용

본 증례의 환자는 약 10여년 전 2개의 임플란트를 이용하여 Gold Hader bar 하악 임플란트 피개 의치로 수복하였고, 3년 6개월의 사용으로 인한 bar의 심한 마모로 유지력을 상실하였다. 이를 Locator 부착장치를 이용하여 하악 피개 의치를 수리하였으나, Locator 사용 6년 6개월 후 male 부위가 완전히 닳은 상태로 내원하게 되었다. 다음으로는 하이브리드 이중관(Hybrid telescopic double crown with friction pin)을 사용하여 임플란트 피개 의치를 새로 제작하였고, 이를 2년동안 관찰한 결과 우수한 예후를 보여주고 있다. 여기에서 한 환자에서 2가지(Gold Hader bar, Locator)방법으로 수복한 임플란트 피개 의치에서 각 부착장치의 실패원인에 대해서 알아보고, 이중관 피개 의치의 장단점과 성공을 위한 조건에 대해서 보고하고자 한다. In this case, the patient was restored with gold Hader bar mandibular implant overdenture using two implants about 10 years ago, and the retentive force was lost due to severe wear of the bar due to 3.5 years use. The overdenture was repaired using a Locator attachment, but the male part was completely worn after 6.5 years use. Finally, we used a hybrid telescopic double crown with a friction pin to fabricate a new implant overdenture, which was observed for 2 years and showed excellent prognosis. So, we describe the cause of failure of each attachment (Gold Hader bar, Locator) in two implant overdentures and report on the advantages and disadvantages of double crown implant overdenture and the conditions for success.

Injury to the ligaments of the knee in children who are less than fourteen years old is unusual, presumably because the resiliency and strength of the ligaments are greater than those of the physes and bone. Ta our knowledge, only a few of knee ligament injuries in children with open physes has been published since 1955. The cliniacal diagnosis is difficult because of the communication barrier between doctor and child and the difficulty in obtaining adequate of a examination of a child with a painful knee. And the best method of treatment of knee ligament injuries in children has not been defined. 19 children with knee ligament injuries before physeal closure were treated from January 1980 to June 1988, 16 children were followed up for more than 1 year, with a maximum 6 years. The results were as following. 1. Our youngest patient was 2(l/12) year old boy. 2. High energy trauma was the most common cause. 3. Relatively better results were obtained as compared with adults. 4. Arthroseopic evaluation and surgery is recommended in suspicious knee ligament injuries in children.
