A Study on Voltage Sag Considering Real-Time Traffic Volume of Electric Vehicles in South Korea

This paper analyzes the effect of voltage sag on distribution systems due to the connection of Electric Vehicles (EVs). In order to study the impact of the voltage sag on the power system, two scenarios have been selected in this paper. The distribution system and EVs are modeled using the Electro Magnetic Transients Program (EMTP). The numbers of EVs are predicted based on the number of vehicles in distribution system of Seoul. In addition, the number of EVs is set up using realtime traffic in Seoul to simulate Scenario I and II. The simulation results show that voltage sag can occur if the distribution system has more than 30% of the total number of vehicles.

This paper analyzes the capture region (CR)-based optimal terminal engagement geometry during high-speed target interception missions. First, under given terminal engagement conditions, the capture region is defined, and some characteristics of the capture region are analyzed. Next, the optimal terminal engagement conditions of two interceptors are analyzed to maximize the probability of their inclusion in the capture region defined by an uncertain target. Information errors of the target are assumed to be in the form of a normal distribution for the heading angle and target velocity. The optimal terminal engagement geometry is then analyzed considering target information errors, and the results are verified through Monte Carlo simulations.
A Study on EV Charging Scheme Using Load Control

It is necessary to charge electric vehicles in order to drive them. Thus, it is essential to have electric vehicle charging facilities in place. In the case of a household battery charger, the power similar to that consumed by a household with a basic contract power of 3kW is consumed. In addition, many consumers who own an electric vehicle will charge their vehicles at the same time. The simultaneous charging of electric vehicles will cause the load to increase, which then will lead to the imbalance of supply and demand in the distribution system. Thus, a smart charging scheme for electric vehicles is an essential element. In this paper, simulated conditions were set up using real data relating to Korea in order to design a smart charging technique suitable for the actual situation. The simulated conditions were used to present a smart charging technique for electric vehicles that disperses electric vehicles being charged simultaneously. The EVs and Smart Charging Technique are modeled using the Electro Magnetic Transients Program (EMTP).

Sequential convex programming based performance analysis of the designed UAV is performed. The nonlinear optimization problems generated by aerodynamics are approximated to socond order program by discretization and convexification. To improve the performance of the algorithm, the solution of the relaxed problem is used as the initial trajectory. Dive trajectory optimization problem is analyzed through iterative solution procedure of approximated problem. Finally, the maximum final velocity according to the performance of the actuator model was compared.

An Electric Vehicle (EV) is operated with the electric energy of a battery in place of conventional fossil fuels. Thus, a suitable charging infrastructure must be provided to expand the use of electric vehicles. Because the battery of an EV must be charged to operate the EV, expanding the number of EVs will have a significant influence on the power supply and demand. Therefore, to maintain the balance of power supply and demand, it is important to be able to predict the numbers of charging EVs and monitor the events that occur in the distribution system. In this paper, we predict the hourly charging rate of electric vehicles using transformation matrix, which can describe all behaviors such as resting, charging, and driving of the EVs. Simulation with transformation matrix in a specific region provides statistical results using the Monte-Carlo Method.
스크램제트 추진 시스템 모델링을 통한 유동 특성 산출 알고리즘에 대한 연구

공기 흡입식 극초음속 비행체인 스크램제트의 모델링과 그에 대한 유동 특성 산출 알고리즘에 대해 연구했다. 설계된 모델에 생기는 충격파 형상과 연소 현상을 가정한 대기 조건과 연료에 대해 분석하였고, 이를 통해 다양한 비행조건에서 동체에 발생하는 힘과 모멘트를 분석하였다. 분석한 모델에 대해서 비행 정보 획득을 위한 알고리즘에 대해 연구했으며 다양한 비행조건과 알고리즘을 통해 추정한 비행 정보를 비교해 보았다. The modelling of air-breathing hypersonic vehicle and it’s air data acquisition algorithm were studied. Under various flight conditions, force and moment were calculated through the analysis of shock wave shapes and combustion phenomenon. In addition, the algorithm for estimating air data was presented and the result of it was compared with real air data for various flight conditions.

In order to charge EVs, they have to be connected to distribution system. Therefore, if unprecedented numbers of EVs are connected to power systems, it could result in deterioration of power quality, overload, and other system problems. In this paper, the effects of voltage sag on the distribution system due to the connection of EVs is evaluated by considering related field data of Republic of Korea such as the number of gasoline-fueled vehicles, seasonal load of power system and the monthly and daily real-time traffic volume. The distribution system and EVs are modeled using the Electro Magnetic Transients Program (EMTP).
