This paper deals with the electromagnetic performance evaluation of 1.5㎾ class synchronous generator with outer PM rotor for small-scale wind power system based on analytical solutions. This wind power generator has slotless stator for the reduction of vibration and acoustic noise through minimization of magnetic cogging torque and outer PM rotor with pole arc/pole pitch ratio, about 0.7, for the back-EMF with low total harmonic distortion. In order to evaluate electromagnetic performance, this paper proposes the various analytical techniques, such as the electromagnetic transfer relations theorem for magnetic field distribution analysis and electrical parameters calculation, and equivalent circuit method for dynamic generating characteristic analysis.

This paper deals with the speed characteristics of an induction motor with a broken rotor bar operated by SVPWM(Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation) inverter. Among various types of rotor type, an aluminum die-casting rotor bar is selected as an analysis model, which is the most common type in industrial applications. Since the parameters of induction motors, such as inductance and resistance, are varied when it has faults in rotor bar, they affect to the speed characteristics. This paper applied the parameter matrix considering the broken rotor bar, and it is applied to illustrate the deteriorated speed characteristics.

This paper deals with the static analysis on axial flux machine having normal and halbach type permanent magnet(PM). In general, to analyze the characteristics of PM machines, various methods are applied, for instance, analytical method and finite clement method(FEM). While the analytical method based on space harmonic method is suitable for the initial design of PM machines in that it is able to reduce the analysis time, the FEM can consider various factors. such as complex structures and saturation although it takes very long analysis time. Since the axial flux machine has vertical flux characteristic, the 2D FEM cannot be applied. Therefore. the 3D FEM is employed with unsatisfied analysis time. This paper suggests the analytical method to reduce the long analysis time with the identical results in comparison with 3D FEM results.
손실을 고려한 영구자석형 풍력발전기의 성능 특성 해석 및 실험적 검증

In this paper, analytical techniques for performance characteristics analysis of wind power generator with outer permanent magnet rotor are proposed. Furthermore, the proposed analytical techniques are validated by performance experiments of the manufactured generator. First of all, characteristic equations of losses such as copper loss, core loss are derived. Using the derived loss characteristic equations and equivalent circuit method, constant load and constant speed characteristics of wind power generator are analyzed. And then, to analyze performance of wind power system according to wind speed, d-q analysis model considering wind turbine characteristics is proposed. Finally, the obtained performance characteristics results are validated in comparison with those by experiments.

This paper deals with electromagnetic performance analysis of BLDC Motor having hall sensor. BLDC motors are classified with 2D and 3D models: symmetric and asymmetric models. Using finite element analysis (FEA), inductance, back-emf and flux density are obtained, respectively. With those results, back-emf constant, current, current density and torque constant are calculated. In addition, torque are calculated by those results, and compare with FEA results.

Nowadays more attention is paid to the developing high efficiency electrical machines for energy saving and protection of natural resources. In general, the electromagnetic losses appearing in electrical machines are widely classified into copper loss, core loss and rotor loss. Particularly, in permanent magnet (PM) machines, core loss forms a larger portion of the total losses than in another machine. So, satisfactory prediction of core loss at the design or analysis stage of PM machines is essential to active high efficiency and high performance. This paper deals with analysis of magnetic field distribution due to geometry of stator core for magnetic core loss calculation of multi-pole PM synchronous machine.

This paper deals with parameter deduction of bread shape permanent magnet motor. To analyze the magnetic field distribution and estimate the electrical parameters such as back emf constant, inductance and torque constant, multi-layer analysis based on space harmonics method is employed. The predicted results are validated extensively by non-linear finite element(FE) analysis and experiment results.

LIM has transverse edge effect by secondary structure causing the variation of equivalent circuit parameters, so 3D FEM must be applied for accurate analysis. This results long analysis time, which is not suitable for its design and characteristic analysis. To overcome the disadvantage, this paper applied analytical method to analyze efficiency characteristic. To derive electromagnetic propulsion force, the electromagnetic field is illustrated, and equivalent circuit method is applied to obtain equivalent circuit parameters.

The axial flux machine has higher power density than conventional radial flux machine, so it is widely applied to various industrial area, for instance, low speed wind power generator. This paper deals with the performance characteristic of axial flux machine according to magnetizing pattern. For the conventional radial flux machine, 2D finite element method (FEM) is generally applied, but axial flux machine has to employ 3D FEM with long analysis time due to its own structural characteristic. This paper introduces the analytical method to analyze its characteristic to overcome the disadvantage of 3D FEM, and performs the comparative analysis on two types of magnetizing patterns, which are vertical and Halbach patterns.

This paper deals with characteristic analysis of linear oscillatory actuator (LOA) considering resonance frequency of spring. And then, this paper is derived by theoretical resonance frequency and simulation algorithm obtained from motion equation and voltage equation after calculating control parameter such as back-emf and thurst constant. Also, this paper is performed by analysis of current and displacement versus the various values of frequency for simulation algorithm and result and is confirmed in resonance frequency for experiment. Finally, the simulations and experiments are shown in good agreement with those obtained measurements.
