‘떠남’과 ‘돌아옴’을 통한 고향의 재인식 과정-이문구의 『관촌수필』연구

『Kwanchon on Essays』, by Lee Mun Gu, is the novel, which made him as a “peasantry writer” and gave him a position in the history of literature. 『Kwanchon on Essays』expresses the archetypical sentiment well and it is not confined to the local definition like 'peasantry literature’. 『Kwanchon Essays』is a novel, which has the meaning of last dedication towards his hometown before the change of rural area, connected to the structure of social science. Now, the shape of his hometown is changed unimaginably so that it has only the meaning of self sufficiency and retrospection in the mental image. This thesis discussed the author’s hometown where he returned after a long interval, focusing on the investigation of the variation of ‘Leaving’ and ‘Coming’ by indulging in reminiscence through the absence of ‘Big Pine Tree’ and ‘Home’, which are the symbols of hometown. The reminiscence of hometown in returning to home begins with ' self-contemplation' and 'the inflammation of Hurt'. 'Big pine tree' and 'home' are the media of restructuring of the past in this sense. In addition, making past 'be present' by calling his intimate relatives such as his father and grandfather is the attempt to discover the meaning of hometown and internalize his life as a continual chain of existence. 'In the Desire of Community, transcending good and evil' the modern usefulness of communal life oriented character was investigated through Ongjeomi and stonecutter, Shin Hyeon Seok. 'In the value of non-conflict and moderation' his life attitude, which doesn't want to quarrel with others and live in a moderate position, can be seen. His life attitude contains his survival way, acquired from his life history including his family history, through experiencing catastrophe by ideology. 『Kwanchon on Essays』makes us review the traditional life, which cannot go back again in the material reality and it makes us ask internal questions about our existence like " Who am I?" in the metallic life of modern person.

This thesis is aimed at studying on ‘Confucian Humanism’ demonstrated in 『Kwanchon Essay』written by Lee Moon-ku and 『You might not go to your hometown again』written by Lee Moon-yeol. Lee Moon-ku and Lee Moon-yeol are the writers who attracted a lot of attention with unique literary style and peculiar subject among 1970’s and 1980’s Korean novels. Especially, two writers showed the same features of strong homesick and revival mood toward Confucian humanism in their novels above but, the distinction was noted between two writers in the way of the realization of Confucian humanism Lee Moon-ku focused on the humanity of a community based on familial love whereas Lee Moon-yeol focused on aristocratic familism, which requires our attention in that this difference implies the gap in literary identity and the aim between two writers. The concrete distinction was revealed at the part where characters recalled the two upper classes of old Korea and pursued the self-identity and concrete examples were shown through ‘Giant Pine Tree(왕소나무)’and ‘Eorimdae(御臨臺)’imaged as objective correlative. Lee Moon-ku correlated the damage of giant pine tree with absence of hometown whereas Lee Moon-yael correlated the Eorimdae with glory and pride of a relative by blood and emphasized it as the present objective for the continued pride until so far. In terms of the show-up of main characters, both writers tended to reproduce the traditional characters. Lee Moon-ku recollected community characters but, Lee Moon-yeol recalled the strong collateral relation by blood of Confucian scholars based on familism. In addition, they showed the outstanding difference in the attitude toward actual life. Lee Moon-ku focused on the realization of Confucian humanism through ‘review of Confucianism’ whereas Lee Moon-years Confucian humanism was individualized by private romanticism on glorious honor of a family.

We investigated signal-to-noise ratios (SNRs) of magnetocardiography (MCG) signals using the first-order and the second-order gradiometers of different baselines. The MCG signals were recorded using a measurement system with 61 magnetometers which measured the normal magnetic component to the chest surface. The distance between the chest surface and the bottom of the dewar was changed from 0 cm to 15 cm, and the MCGs were measured for each distance. By subtracting the other signals (distance = 1 to 15 cm) from the reference signal (distance =0 cm), we could simulate the first-order and the second-order gradiometer signals with various baselines. In addition, to evaluate the reproducibility of the simulation, we fabricated the wire wound first-order and second-order gradiometers which measured a normal magnetic component to the chest surface. The baselines of the first-order gradiometers were, respectively, 50 mm, 70 mm and 100 mm and the baseline of the second-order gradiometer was 50 mm. Using these gradiometers, we recorded the MCG signal and compared the SNR between the simulation and the measurement.

We developed a SQUID magnetometer based on Double Relaxation Oscillation SQUID(DROS) for measuring magnetocardiography(MCG). Since DROS provides a 10 times larger flux-to-voltage transfer coefficient than the conventional DC-SQUID, simple flux-locked loop electronics could be used for SQUID operation. Especially, we adopted an external feedback to eliminate the magnetic coupling with adjacent channels. When the DROS magnetometer was operated inside a magnetically shielded room, average magnetic field noise was about 5 $fT/^{\surd}Hz$ at 100 Hz. Using the DROS magnetometer, we constructed a multichannel MCG system. The system consisted of 61 magnetometers are arranged in a hexagonal structure and measures a vertical magnetic-field component to the chest surface. The distance between adjacent channels is 26 mm and the magnetometers cover a circular area with a diameter of 208 mm. We recorded the MCG signals with this system and confirmed the magnetic field distribution and the myocardinal current distribution.
A Low-noise Double Relaxation Oscillation SQUID Magnetometer for Measuring Magnetoencephalogram

We developed a useful SQUID magnetometer for biomagnetic applications, magnetoencepha-logram(MEG) and magnetocardiogram(MCG), etc. The SQUIDs are based on Double Relaxation Oscillation SQUID(DROS). DROS consists of two SQUIDs(signal SQUID and reference SQUID) in series, and a relaxation circuit of an inductor and a resistor. Specially we used single reference junction instead of the reference SQUID. The SQUIDs are based on hysteretic $Nb/AlO_{x}$Nb junctions, fabricated by using a simple four level process. Because DROS magnetometer has large flux-to-voltage transfer coefficient, we can use simple flux-locked loop electronics fur SQUID operation. When the DROS magnetometer was operated inside a magnetically shielded room, its average magnetic field noise was about 3 (equation omitted) at 100 Hz. This noise level is low enough to measure biomagnetic fields. In this paper, we describe noise characteristics of DROS magnetometer, depending on the operation condition . .
한국현대 대하소설에 나타난 인물들의 현실에 대한 소극적 대응 양상 연구 : 박경리의 『토지』와 조정래의 ‘2대 대하소설’을 중심으로

The study portrayed the Korean people’s plights and history in transitory ages in terms of characters’ passive responses to reality with a focus on Park Kyung ni’s 『Toji』 and Cho Jungrae’s two feature novels, 『Arirang』 and 『Taeback Mountains』. Their passive responses to reality have significance as the most active responses in the restricted conditions of each character’s society, history and reality. Up to know the studies on characters in Korean modern novels have been conducted mainly based on characters who make active responses to reality, but passive responses to reality, in fact, help overcome the times of constant crises wisely to some degree. The passive responses to reality in the novels can be found in the forms of ‘play with words and sarcastic attitudes’ and ‘self-abusive behaviors and self-pity.’ In terms of ‘play with words and sarcastic attitudes,’ ‘word mockery,’ the message Chung Han jo and Yoon Bo sent to Cho Jun gu and Kim Pyung san, is distinguished. In 『Arirang』, Cha deuk bo and his sister Okn yu along with the old beggar spread work play and sarcastic attitudes to others around them by intentionally using the strong infectious power songs and chants have. In the same vein, Juk san Daek, wife of Yeom Sang jin and the shaman Soh wa’s behaviors in 『Taebaek Mountains』 have meanings that go beyond simple women. The characters who show ‘self-abusive attitudes and self-pity’ include Shin Se ho in 『Arirang』 and Kim Sa yong in 『Taebaek Mountains』. Especially, Shn Se ho’s passive responses to reality evokes sad empathy in readers.
