        핵산계 화학요법제의 합성 및 생물활성에 관한 연구

        5-substituted uridine(I,Br,Cl), 5'-amino-5'-deoxyuridine conjugates of amino acid, peptide and penicillin G, 5'-monophosphate uridine derivatives and 5'-monophosphate-fatty acid detrivatives were chemically synthesized. Their biological activities were determined as MIC and IC/sub 50/ unit against various pathogenic microorganisms in vitro. 5'-amino-5'-deoxyuridine-cyclo(Phe-Asp)(23), 5-iodo-5'-amino-deoxyuridine-penicillin G(26) were the most efficient; their IC/sub 50/ against L5178Y murine lymphoma cell was 6.5 h/ml, MIC against S. aureus (+) and E. coli (-) was 6.25 g/ml. MIC of 5-bromo-2', 3'-O-isopropylideneuridine(6) against Trichophyton rubrum was 0.2 g/ml. And 5'-monophosphate derivatives are more active than simple uridine derivatives, suggesting other modified nucleoside 5'-phosphate may be worthwhile examing further as a new prodrugs.

        The Effect of Incentives on the Performance of International IT Standardization Experts

        In this paper, we investigate the determinant factors of performance of global standardization experts in their standardization activities. Standards experts of various nationalities were surveyed to assess incentives that may positively influence the performance of standards professionals. As a basis for this study, we make three main assumptions. First, incentives can be important determinant factors of performance among standards experts. Second, standardization is in the public interest, insofar as the efficiency gains resulting from standardization benefit society as a whole. Third, based on this assumption that standardization is in the public interest, we propose that performance determinants for standardization activities tend to be non-monetary in nature rather than monetary. We find that, in order to improve performance among international standards experts, a better understanding of their aspirations and needs must be gained so that appropriate incentives may be proposed to them. Our analysis reveals that the two most important determinant factors of performance are the recognition of the professional status of international standards experts, and an environment providing support systems to help them perform to their fullest potential.

        1 , 2 - bis ( aminoacyl ) hydrazine 유도체들의 합성과 항산화 효과

        1.2-bis(aminoacyl) hydrazine derivatives and dipeptides were synthesized by conventional peptide synthesis procedures. Their antioxidant activity were inverstigated by over-storage test using corn oil as substrte. 1.2-bis (aminoacyl) hydrazine derivatives and dipetides containing hydrophobic side chain amino acid showed higher antioxidant activity. A free N-terminal amino group was also found to be important for the appearance of antioxidant activity. 1.2-bis (aminoacyl) hydrazine derivatives showed higher antioxidant activity than dipeptides. Antimicrobial activites of dipeptides and 1.2-bis (aminoacyl) hydrazine derivatives were also examined by the paper disc method. All of these compounds had shown no antimicrobial activity.

        The Economic Value of Next-Generation Converged Communications and Broadcasting Services

        This research is to substantially analyze the economic value of portable Internet (WiBro), WCDMA High Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA), WiBro+VoIP, and WiBro+DMB regarded as the next generation of broadcasting. Based on the empirical analysis of economic values, we provide the optimal paths of converged communications and broadcasting services related to WiBro. 1,000 Internet users in the Seoul and Gyeonggi areas were surveyed in their homes. The collected survey was calculated as an accurate economic value distribution for relevant services, and the average and mean were taken using a parametric logit model, semi-parametric Spike model, and nonparametric Turnbull and Kernel estimations in order to analyze the contingent economic value of the amount offered to the subjects of the analysis. The contingent value analysis results varied slightly according to the different methodologies; however, all showed the following common features. The economic value of WiBro, Internet-based WCDMA, VoIP, and DMB with WiBro appeared to be similar. Therefore, if WiBro and WCDMA (HSDPA) form a competitive relationship, the types of bundled services offered as portable Internet service and the supply point of such bundled services are expected to emerge in a strategic plan for stimulating service markets and the prior occupation of the market.

        WTO 통신협상 시 우리 나라 통신서비스 분야의 주요쟁점사안 중의 하나는 기간통신사업자의 외국인투자한도 확대이다. 주요 선진국들은 통신서비스 시장규모와 발전전망이 높은 우리 나라에 투자하기 위하여 외국인 지분한도 확대 및 외국인 대주주 허용에 많은 관심을 표명하고 있다. 외국인 지분한도 완화에 따른 긍정적 효과가 부정적 효과 보다 클 경우 국내 통신서비스 시장 발전에 유익할 것으로 예상된다. 특히 배당수익을 목적으로 하는 지분 참여를 통한 외국으로부터 자본을 도입하여 경영진이 효율적으로 사업을 주도할 경우 순기능 효과를 발휘하게 된다. 그러나 부정적 효과가 크다면 지분확대가 통신사업발전에 장해가 될 것이다. 이에 본 고에서는 우리 나라의 추가적인 외국인 지분보유 한도 확대에 앞서 기간통신사업자에게 미칠 긍정적 또는 부정적 파급효과를 분석해 보고, 외국인 지분확대에 따른 부정적 효과를 최소화하기 위한 질적 규제장치 도입 등 대응방안을 모색하고자 한다.

        측면연마된 단일모드 광섬유와 폴리머 평면도파로 결합기를 이용한 압력 센서

        Novel pressure sensor using the resonance wavelength shift of single mode fiber-to-planar waveguide coupler, was demonstrated. It is found that the resonance wavelength shift due to refractive index variation of polymers by pressure occurs and its sensitivity depends on materials. We adopted symmetric structure of planar waveguide and remove the polarization dependence which is inevitable with side-polished fiber. AZ4562, AZ1512 and THB-30 are used as planar waveguide materials and the resonance wavelength shifting by pressure was shown -0.008nm/bar, 0.033nm/bar and 0.16nm/bar, respectively.

        유비쿼터스 시대에 적용 가능한 바이오 센서의 응용에 관한 이해

        현대 사회의 과학기술이 고도화되면서 생명공학기술 분야에 대한 관심이 증대되어 바이오센서에 대한 연구가 활발해지고 있으며, 이와 관련된 산업도 지속적으로 성장하고 있다. 정보통신기술의 발달과 함께 바이오 계측 장비가 지능화, 고도화 되어 장비의 성능 정도가 센서에 의존하는 비중이 증대되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 유비쿼터스 시대가 도래함으로써 요구되는 핵심기술 중 하나인 바이오센서기술에 대해 서술하였다. 또한 바이오센서의 연구 동향 및 산업에 대한 분석과 필자 등에 의해 수행된 바이오 센서의 검출원리 및 실험결과 몇 가지를 소개하였다. 끝으로 향후 바이오 센서의 개발에 따른 발전방향을 제시하고자 한다.

        Cyclic Nona 및 Pentapeptide 유도체들의 합성과 단백질 분해 효소에 대한 저해활성 측정

        Most of legume seeds contain serveral kinds of BBI-type inhibitors. They have similar amino acid residues around the reactive site. The P₁ site amino acid residue in reactive site generally corresponds to the specificity of the cognate enzyme. It has also been noted the importance of P₁ site amino acid residue in synthetic cyclic nonapeptide derivatives which were related to active site of BBI. To obtain further understanding of the role of amino acid residues near th reactive site, 3 cyclic nonapeptides which are substituted analogues of GBI-II were synthesized and the inhibition constants for some proteinases were calculated by Dixon method. Antielastic fragment in GBI-II (I_a) differ only P₂ Site with that of soybean isoinhibitor C-II, Ki of Ia for porcine pancreatic elastase was 48μM, Ki of antitryptic fragment in LBI (I_b) for trypsin was 3.7μM, and Tyr analogue (I_c) for chymotrypsin showed no inhibition but appeared low inhibitory activity for trypsin and elastase. To elucidate the relation between loop size and inhibitory activity, 3 cyclic pentapeptide analogues containing the each reactive site of Ala-Ser, Lys-Ser and Tyr-Ser were synthesized. These peptides possessed slight inhibitory activity toward proteinases, Ki of synthetic cyclic pentapeptides for elastase, trypsin, and chymotrypsin were 614μM, 278μM and 128μM, respectively.
