Association between Helicopter versus Ground Emergency Medical Services in Inter-Hospital Transport of Trauma Patients

Introduction: To improve outcome of severe trauma patient, the shortening of transport time is needed. Although HEMS is still a subject of debate, it must also be considered for trauma system. The aim of this study is to assess whether transport method (HEMS versus ground EMS) is associated with outcome among inter-hospital transport. Material & Methods: All trauma patients transported to regional emergency center by either HEMS or ground EMS from September 2011 to September 2014. We have classified patients according to two groups by transport method. Age younger than 15 years and self-discharged patients were excluded. Results: A total of 427 patients were available for analysis during this period. 60 patients were transported by HEMS and 367 patients were transported by ground EMS. HEMS group had higher mortality than ground EMS group (23.3% vs 3.5%; p<0.001), and included more patients with excess mortality ratio adjusted injury severity score (EMR-ISS) above 25 (91.7% vs 48.8%; p<0.001). In the multivariable regression analysis, HEMS was not associated with improved outcome compared with ground EMS, but only EMR-ISS was associated with a mortality of patients (odds ratio, 1.06; 95% confidence interval, 1.04-1.09). Conclusion: In this study, HEMS transport was not associated with a decreased of mortality among the trauma patients who inter-hospital transported to the regional emergency center.

지방일간지 독자투고 분석을 통한 경찰의 대(對) 언론홍보 개선방안 연구

This study analyzed how police officers' publicity activities, especially through independent investment, are conducted amid the surging demand for public security. To that end, he had in-depth interviews with major newspapers in South Gyeongsang Province with topics of donation, purpose of donation, class of contributors, police officers in charge of public relations, and current journalists. The study found several characteristics of police officers' independent efforts in local newspapers. First, the possibility of local newspapers' struggle for self-help is increasing. One out of every 10 police officers surveyed a year-long independent campaign. Secondly, police officers have found that their own pet ads are voluntary, but there is a possibility that they are making contributions for incentives. According to the daily newspaper, which is currently being conducted by the local police, each local police office uses its own efforts as a means of obtaining incentives according to the presentation of more than three cases a year. Third, police officers did not have a wide range of contributions and topics, but focused only on publicity and guidance. While there are advantages of posting and promoting articles that have gained experience in the police profession, the reader has the disadvantage of experiencing a formality of contributions. Fourth, the concentration of independent opinions of certain professional groups may affect the credibility of local newspapers, and thus, thorough gate-kipping is necessary in the process of publishing independent contributions. Accordingly, newspapers need to raise the quality of their own efforts through the gatekeeping process. Fifth, despite the generally negative perception of police force's efforts, a timely message also provides a positive influence on police policing and public relations. The research team needs a strategy to diversify the subject of police officers' independent efforts and provide information needed for the general reader. Second, current police policing activities show a strong presence in police press releases and event and accident reports. Third, I suggest that the professionalism of newspaper reporters and police officers should be enhanced to solve the problem of low reliability, and that the public should shift to a timely independent effort that they can feel.

The purpose of this study is to research formation and transformation of underground housing in the process of densification of urban housing. As a result of the study, it was found that the relevant regulation changes have a strong relation with the formation and tramsformation of underground housing. During the process of transformation, the underground housing can be classified into 5 types according to the characteristics, and this type is strongly influenced by the change of the house itself. The floor plan of the basement housing gradually became similar to that of the upper floor, and the independence of the entrance also gradually disappeared. This transformation process shows how the single-family house of korea becomes a multifamily house.

GAN Inversion for Out-of-Range Images with Geometric Transformations

In this paper, we propose a novel GAN inversion approach to semantic manipulation of out-of-range images that are geometrically unaligned with the training images of a GAN model. To find a latent code that is semantically editable, our approach inverts an input out-of-range image into an alternative latent space than the original latent space. We also propose a regularized inversion method to find a proper solution that supports semantic manipulation in the alternative space. Our experiments show that our approach effectively supports semantic manipulation of out-of-range images with geometric transformations.

지방신문 독자투고와 투고자 특성에 관한 연구 - 경남신문과 경남도민일보를 중심으로

본 연구는 SNS 시대에 종이신문 위기의 한 가운데에 있는 지방신문의 독자 참여를 확인하기 위해 독자투고 특성을 분석했다. 경남지역 지방신문을 대상으로 독자투고의 주제, 형태, 방향, 직업, 특징, 담당 기자에 대한 인터뷰 등을 진행했다. 연구 결과 지방신문 독자투고에 여러 가지 특징들이 나타났다. 첫째, 지방신문의 독자투 고 절반 이상의 주제는 사회와 행정 분야에 집중됐다. 반면 해외, 남북관계 등은 상대적으로 비중이 작았다. 둘째, 신문사의 성향에 따라 투고 내용이 엇갈렸다. 중도보수 성향 지방신문 의 독자투고는 긍정적인 내용이, 진보성향의 신문은 상대적으로 부정적 내용이 많았다. 셋째 지방신문 독자투고란의 절반 가까운 비중이 공무원과 공기업 직업군이었다. 공무원 중에는 경찰의 비중이 상대적으로 높았는데, 지방의 여론 수렴이 특정 직업군으로 쏠리고 있음을 보여줬다. 넷째 특정 독자가 지방신문에 중복 투고하거나 똑같은 내용을 투고함으 로써 독자투고란에 대한 신뢰도가 낮아지고 있었다. 이러한 문제점을 지방신문 독자투고 담당자들도 충분히 인지하고 있었지만 아직 개선방안은 마련되지 않고 있었다. 경남지역 일간지의 독자투고를 종합적으로 분석했을 때 피드백, 독자 참여, 공론장의 기능이라는 독자투고의 기능이 퇴색되고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 지방신문들은 독자투고의 질적 수준을 높이고 지역민의 공론장 역할을 하도록 독자투고의 신뢰도를 떨어뜨리는 여러 주변 요인들 을 줄이는 데 노력을 기울여야 할 것으로 보인다. This study analyzed the characteristics of the contribution to readers to check the participation of local newspapers at the height of the paper crisis in the social media period. We analyzed themes, forms, direction, occupations, and interviews with reporters in the provincial newspaper in Gyeongnam Province. As a result of the research, various features appeared in the local newspaper. First, more than half of the local newspaper 's own contributions were focused on social and administrative areas. On the other hand, overseas and inter-Korean relations were relatively small. Second, according to the tendency of newspaper companies, Moderately conservative tendency The local newspaper's contribution to the reader was positive, while the tendency toward the progressive newspaper was relatively negative. Third, nearly half of the local newspaper articles were public servants and public enterprises. Among the public officials, the proportion of the police was relatively high, showing that the convergence of the local public opinion was focused on a specific occupation group. Fourth, the reliability of readers' articles was lowered by making the contents of articles such as duplicate articles in the local newspapers. These problems have been fully recognized by local newspaper readers, but no improvement plan has been prepared yet. A comprehensive analysis of the readers' contributions of the daily newspapers in Kyungnam Province shows that the function of the independent contribution of feedback, readers participation, Local newspapers should strive to reduce the number of peripherals factors that reduce the credibility of readers' posts in order to raise the quality of their contributions and to serve as a public forum for local people.
