        Surgical Outcomes of Cor Triatriatum Sinister: A Single-Center Experience

        Background: We investigated surgical outcomes after the surgical repair of cor triatriatum sinister (CTS). Methods: Thirty-two consecutive patients who underwent surgical repair of CTS from 1993 through 2020 were included in this study. The morphological characteristics, clinical features, and surgical outcomes were described and analyzed. Results: The median age and body weight at operation were 9 months (interquartile range [IQR], 3–238 months) and 7.5 kg (IQR, 5.8–49.6 kg), respectively. There were 16 males (50%). According to the modified Lucas classification, type IA (classical CTS) was most common (n=20, 62.5%). Atrial septal defect was associated in 22 patients (68.8%) and anomalous pulmonary venous return in 8 patients (25%). Pulmonary hypertension was preoperatively suspected with a high probability in 18 patients (56.3%). There was 1 early death (3.1%) after emergent membrane excision and hybrid palliation in a high-risk hypoplastic left heart syndrome patient. There were no late deaths. The overall survival rate was 96.9% at 15 years post-repair. No early survivors required reoperation during follow-up. Most survivors (31 of 32 patients, 96.9%) were in New York Heart Association functional class I at a median follow-up of 74 months (IQR, 39–195 months). At the latest echocardiography performed at a median of 42 months (IQR, 6–112 months) after repair, no residual lesion was observed except in 1 patient who had moderate pulmonary hypertension (mean pulmonary arterial pressure of 36 mm Hg). Conclusion: Surgical repair of cor triatriatum could be performed safely and effectively with an extremely low risk of recurrence.

        This paper is proposes a new current-voltage source hybrid type High-Frequency inverter circuit topology by introducing mainly the effect of the voltage clamping diode in the circuit into the current voltage source hybrid type High-Frequency type inverter as the voltage-fed type High-Frequency thyristor inverter. Concerning the proposed High-frequency inverter, it applies the normalized parameter to the characteristic analysis of steady-state at the time of resistive load. In addition, it induces High-Frequency thyristor inverter with the proposed one, and the relativity of the two on the basis secured results of the characteristic analysis.

        Power Electronics technology based on Power Semiconductor switching devices(PSSD) is used extensively as a mean to control electrical energy in domestic and industry applications. This paper presents new driving circuits considering characteristics of PSSDs, which can drive SIT and SI-Thyrister having potentiality of applications in future industry. And it is shown that the proposed design method can be applied to main power convertion circuits.

        지상연소시험장 방호구조물의 수치해석을 통한 성능평가

        In order to build protective facilities and structures in the defense field, a prior review of the impact of explosion pressure on the structure is necessary, and the protection performance for expected explosion conditions must be satisfied. Accordingly, the Ministry of Defense’s protection design standards have been established and standards for military facilities have been established, but special facilities such as ground combustion test sites are not presented. Therefore, in this study, the protection performance evaluation process of the ground combustion test site protective structure was established and the protection performance evaluation was performed by performing finite element analysis using LS-DYNA to analyze the interaction of explosion pressure.

        펄스다이레이저 치료 후 호전된 얼굴 건선 1예

        Facial psoriasis is a chronic condition, which has considerable resistance to the usual topical or systemic therapies. To date, previous studies have demonstrated the efficacy of pulsed dye laser (PDL) for the treatment of psoriasis, except facial psoriasis. A 38-year-old man who had 4-year history of psoriasis has visited our clinic for his resistant facial psoriasis. He was treated with total 2 PDL sessions at 2-week intervals on his forehead. The lesion showed clinical improvement in its size, erythema and scales. Herein, we report a case of facial psoriasis treated with pulsed dye laser.

      • 중년층을 대상으로 한 건강증진 프로그램에 의한 심리적 효과

        This study was aimed at investigating the psychological effect middle age people got through the health promotion program. For this perpose, it selected as subjects's total of 62 made up of 14 males and 48females attending the fitness promotion center affiliated to Korea University of Physical Education, who were living in Seoul, suburbs and small citise. The health promotion program was provided with the middle aged people with no exercise habits over the 10-week period. An attempt was made to inquire into STAI and the state of their heath conditions before and after participation in the program. As a result, the following conclusion was drawn. First, it was found that there was a difference in the subjects' STAI before and after their participation in the heath promotion program designed by this study. Especially, male subjects showed a higher level of STAI than female counterparts. Middle-aged subjects such as Saiaried persons and those engaged in other jobs showed a higher level of STAI than those such as housewives and self-employed persons. The middle-aged group living in small cites was found to have a higher level of STAI than the middle-aged group living big cities. Second, it was found that there was a difference in the state of their health conditions before and after their participation in the health promotion program. In particular, middle-aged women showed the better state of their health conditions than middle-aged men. The middle-aged persons living in big cities. But, in contrast with the case of the relationship between the persons living in big cities and those in small cities and the relationship between the middle-aged persons such as those engaged in other jobs. There was no psychological effect that the health promotion program had on the state of their health conditions. Therefore, participation in the health promotion program was found to have an effect on the state of health conditions for middle-aged persons such as housewives and self-employed persons.

        구조물의 하중은 기초지반에 의해 지지된다. 그러나, 기초지반이 지하수의 침투 등에 의해 강도가 저하되거나 구조물의 증축에 의해 지지력이 부족할 경우가 발생한다. 이러한 경우 지반을 보강하기 위해 지반개량 공법이 적용된다. 지반개량 공법 중 네일링 공법은 시공이 간편하고 경제적이며 지반의 인장강도를 증가시키는 역학적 장점 등이 잇어 앞으로 널리 사용될 수 있는 공법이다. 본 연구에서는 네일을 이용하여 기초지반을 보강하여 지반의 강성을 높이고 지반의 지지력을 증대시켜서 구조물의 침하를 억제하는 역학적 기구를 규명하기 위해서 실내모형실험을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 시래모형실험을 통하여, 기초지반 보강용 네일의 설치 각도, 길이, 배치 간격의 변화에 따른 지지력 증대 효과 및 침하억제효과를 분석하여, 최적의 보강방법을 결정하는 것이다. The loads of structure are supported by foundation ground. But the bearing capacity will be able to be lacked by the decrease of ground strength by seepage of ground water or by the extension work of building. In this case, ground improvement method can be applied to increase the ground strength. Among ground improvement methods, nailing method will be used in the future widely, because of its simplicit, economical and mechanical merits of increasing tensile strength on ground. In this study, laboratory model tests are made in order to analyze the effect of ground improvement by nailing method. The final purposes of this study are as follows; (1) The effect of bearing capacity increasing by nails. Especially, the effects of distance, length and angle of nails. (2) To decide the optimal reinforcing methods of nailing
