      • Effect of electron beam irradiation on carbonization yield of lyocell fibers

        The lyocell fibers were treated by electron beam (E-beam) irradiation to improve carbonization yield. The properties of E-beam irradiated lyocell fibers were analyzed by SEM, FT-IR, XPS and TGA. The E-beam irradiated lyocell fibers were carbonized at 800°C during 1 h and the carbonization yield was measured. The lyocell fibers were decomposed at the same time and cross-linked by E-beam irradiation. The decomposition and crosslinking degree of lyocell fibers was increased as increasing E-beam absorbed dose. Therefore, initial decomposition temperature of lyocell fibers was decreased and the carbonization yield was increased as increasing E-beam absorbed dose. The carbonization yield of lyocell fibers by 1500 kGy E-beam irradiation were increased by 25.6% than that of pure lyocell fibers.

        공무상비밀누설죄와 편면적 대향범 -대법원 2011. 4. 28. 선고 2009도3642 판결을 중심으로-

        필요적 공범으로서 대향범은 하나의 범죄완성을 위하여 반드시 대향되는 2인 이상의 범죄행위자들 각각의 가담행위가 있어야 한다. 이 중 일방만을 처벌하는 경우를 별도로 편면적 대향범이라고 하는 것이다. 각칙상 1인만을 처벌한다고 규정하고 있는 다수의 조문들이 대향적 구조를 갖추기만 하면 편면적 대향범이라고 하여 총칙상 공범으로도 처벌하지 않는다면, 실질적인 범죄가담자를 처벌하지 않는 오류를 범하게 된다. 본 [대상판결]에서도 공무상비밀누설죄가 형법 제127조에서 누설한 자만을 주체로 하였지만, 이에 대향하는 누설받은 자가 존재하여야 하는 구조를 갖추고 있기 때문에 편면적 대향범이라고 한 것 같다. 그러나 편면적 대향범은 필요적 공범으로서 대향범의 일종이므로, 대향되는 행위자가 존재하는 것만으로 부족하고 이 행위자의 범죄실현을 위한 기여행위가 없다면 당해 범죄가 성립되지 않아야만 한다. 결론적으로 공무상비밀누설죄는 공무원 또는 공무원이었던 자가 법령에 의한 직무상 비밀을 누설하기만 하면 성립되는 범죄이기 때문에, 본 [대상판결]에서 누설한 자(피고인 1)를 적극적으로 교사한 피고인 2는 1심에서와 같이 일반적인 공범론에 따라 공무상비밀누설죄의 교사범으로 처벌하는 것이 타당하다고 할 것이다. Supreme Court Decision 2009Do3642 decided April 28, 2011 seems to apply the principle of “Das Begegnungsdelikt” judging two-way criminality between a public official who divulged official secrets and a taker who instigated the official to reveal the secrets. “Das Begegnungsdelikt” requires more than two individuals who participate in committing a crime in two opposite ways; a performer and a taker. It, meanwhile, is occasionally found that only the performer is punished for committing the crime, which can be called unilateral “Begegnungsdelikt”, It would be unreasonable to punish the performer alone for the simple reason that the circumstances of the complicity seem to be categorized into “Das Begegnungsdelikt”. In the above-mentioned 2009Do3642 case, Supreme Court of Korea ruled that the public official (the leaker) who divulged the official secrets is the only criminal and the other part (the taker) who instigated him to divulged the secrets is free from the crime as a result of “unilateral” Begegnungsdelikt. Judging this case, in conclusion, Supreme Court of Korea seemed to mistakenly interpret the Article 127 of the Criminal Act (Divulgence of Official Secrets) which regulates only the leaker of secrets as a criminal on charges of revealing official secrets. This case, however, has nothing to do with “Das Begegnungsdelikt” even if it seems the taker who instigated the leaker to divulge the official secrets should be also punished as an instigator on charges of revealing them.

      • 금속착물이 도입된 이온교환기막에 의한 암모니아 이온의 흡착특성

        Microporous hollow fiber membranes containing cation-exchange group were prepared by radiation-induced graft ploymerization of glycidylmethacrylate(GMA), subsequently, the epoxy group produced in the GMA-grafted hollow fiber was converted into sulfonic acid group(SO₃H). Followed Ni^(2+), Cu^(2+) metalic ions were complexed to the sulfonated membranes. The ammonia solution was forced to permeate across the hollow fiber sulfonated membrane and metal-complexed membrane, respectively. These fibers were evaluated to measure the pure water flux and the adsorption capacity of ammonia ions. The pure water flux was decreased with an introducing sulfonic acid groups, but the flux of the metal ions adsorbed hollow fiber was improved. The sulfoneted fiber having higher adsorption capacity than metal-complexed fiber.

      • The effect of fluorination on thermal stability of cellulose fibers

        Cellulose fibers are treated by fluorination in order to increase thermal stability of them. The properties of fluorinated cellulose fibers are analyzed by FT-IR, XPS and TGA. Integral procedure decomposition temperature (IPDT) and initial decomposition temperature (IDT) are calculated from TGA curves. A temperature rise in fluorination increases fluorine- functional groups on cellulose fibers. However, the introduced fluorine-functional groups are removed in the excessive conditions (fluorination treatment at 180℃). The IPDT of cellulose fibers is increased and IDT is decreased with increasing of fluorine-functional groups. In this study, the IPDT of cellulose fibers fluorinated at 120℃ is increased by 60.8% compared to that of pure cellulose fibers.

        망막질환에서 항혈관내피성장인자의 유리체강 내주사효과

        Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) is a protein secreted by cells to stimulate angiogenesis, a complex biologicalphenomenon essential for the development of new blood vessels. Aberrant angiogenesis has been implicated in variousretinal diseases such as age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal vein occlusion. Ever since theconcept of angiogenesis was first introduced by Judah Folkman, and its crucial role in the pathophysiology of retinal diseaseswas elucidated by many scientists, much effort focused on identifying treatments has led to the development of anti-VEGFagents, which have become a critical component in the treatment of various retinal diseases associated with pathologicalangiogenesis. The application of various anti-VEGF agents has achieved not only the resolution of pathological lesionsassociated with aberrant angiogenesis, but also an improvement of visual acuity unattainable with conventional treatmentmodalities. Despite these major accomplishments with the use of anti-VEGF agents, there are still issues remaining to beaddressed, such as how to treat non-responders to anti-VEGF agents, the need for repeated injections, and the economicburden on patients. This review highlights the outcomes from major clinical trials investigating the efficacy and safety ofvarious anti-VEGF agents that are currently available and how they can be utilized in the daily clinical setting.

      • Nanocrystallization Strategies for Improving Stability of Perovskite Solar Cells

        Perovskite solar cells have attained tremendous interest due to their skyrocketing power conversion efficiency to 25.2% recently, becoming comparable to commercial silicon photovoltaics. However, there are still stability issues to be overcome for commercializing perovskite solar cells. Nanocrystal engineering can be one of the most effective strategies to improve the stability of perovskite devices. In particular, inorganic perovskite nanocrystals (NCs) have shown good potential as an emerging semiconducting building block owing to their excellent optoelectronic properties. In this work, we report a facile method for nanocrystallization of inorganic perovskite materials. We introduced the reprecipitation-based synthesis method, which facilitates the perovskite crystallization and leads to high chemical yield and stability. We believe our work would provide a widely utilizable method and an enormous promise for perovskite-based optoelectronic applications.
