        A Case of Herpes Zoster Ophthalmicus with Isolated Trochlear Nerve Involvement

        Background:Herpes zoster ophthalmicus (HZO) can involve the oculomotor nerve; however,isolated trochlear nerve palsy has rarely been reported. Case Report:An 83-year-old man who suffered from HZO in the right frontal area and scalp subsequently developed vertical diplopia and severe pain. Cerebrospinal fluid examination and brain MRI revealed no abnormalities. Isolated right trochlear nerve palsy was diagnosed based on the findings of neuro-ophthalmological tests. Conclusions:Isolated trochlear nerve involvement associated with HZO is very rare and may be easily overlooked. Physicians should carefully examine oculomotor involvement in HZO.

        열전달 촉진관에서 탄화수소계 냉매의 풀비등 열전달계수

        In this work, pool boiling heat transfer coefficients(HTCs) of five hydrocarbon refrigerants of propylene, propane, isobutane, butane and dimethylether(DME) were measured at the liquid temperature of 7℃ on a 26fpi low fin tube, Turbo-B, and Thermoexcel-E tubes. All data were taken from 80 to 10kW/m2 in the decreasing order of heat flux. The data of hydrocarbon refrigerants showed a typical trend that nucleate boiling HTCs obtained on enhanced tubes also increase with the vapor pressure. Fluids with lower reduced pressure such as DME, isobutane, and butane took more advantage of the heat transfer enhancement mechanism of enhanced tubes than those enhancement ratios of 2.3∼9.4 among the tubes tested due to its sub-channels and re-entrant cavities.

        탄소나노튜브 사용 풀비등 열전달 촉진

        In this study, the effect of carbon nanotubes(CNTs) on boiling heat transfer is investigated. Three refrigerants of R22, R123, R134a, and water are used as base working fluids and 1% of CNTs by volume is added to the base fluids to study the effect of CNTs. All data are obtained at the pool temperature of 7℃ for all refrigerants and 100℃ for water in the heat flux range of 10∼80kW/m2. Test results show that CNTs increase the boiling heat transfer coefficients for all fluids. Especially, large enhancement was observed at low heat fluxes. With increasing heat flux, however, the enhancement was suppressed due to vigorous bubble generations. Fouling was not observed during the course of this study. Optimum quantity and type of CNTs and their dispersion should be examined for their application in pool boiling heat transfer.

        탄화수소계 냉매들과 DME의수평 평활관내 흐름 응축 열전달 특성

        Flow condensation heat transfer coefficients(HTCs) of R22, propylene, propane, DME and isobutane are measured on a horizontal plain tube. The main test section in the experimental flow loop is made of a plain copper tube of 9.52 mm outside diameter and 530 mm length. The refrigerant is cooled by passing cold water through an annulus surrounding the test section. Tests are performed at a fixed refrigerant saturation temperature of 40±0.2℃ with mass fluxes of 100, 200, 300kg/m2s and heat flux of 7.3~7.7kW/m2. The data are obtained in the vapor quality range of 10~90%. Test results show that at same mass flux the flow condensation HTCs of propylene, propane, DME and isobutane are higher than those of R22 by up to 46.8%, 53.3%, 93.5% and 61.6% respectively. Also well-known correlations developed based upon conventional fluorocarbon refrigerants predict the present data within a mean deviation of 30%. Finally, the pressure drop increase as the mass flux and quality increase and isobutane shows the highest pressure drop due to its lowest vapor pressure among the fluids tested.

        평활관과 낮은 핀관에서 R245fa의 풀 비등 열전달계수

        In this work, pool boiling heat transfer coefficients(HTCs) of R22, R123, R134a, and R245fa are measured on both horizontal plain and 26 fpi low fin tubes. The pool boiling temperature is maintained at 7℃ and heat flux is varied from 80 ㎾/㎡ to 10 ㎾/㎡ with an interval of 10 ㎾/㎡. Wall temperatures are measured directly by thermocouples inserted through holes of 0.5 ㎜ diameter. Test results show that HTCs of high vapor pressure refrigerants are usually higher than those of low pressure fluids in both plain and low fin tubes. On a plain tube, HTCs of R245fa are 23.3% higher than those of R123 while on a 26 fpi low fin tube, HTCs of R245fa are 46.3% higher than those of R123. The fin effect is more prominent with low vapor pressure refrigerants than with high vapor pressure ones due to a sweeping effect.

        PromoterWizard: An Integrated Promoter Prediction Program Using Hybrid Methods

        Promoter prediction is a very important problem and is closely related to the main problems of bioinformatics such as the construction of gene regulatory networks and gene function annotation. In this context, we developed an integrated promoter prediction program using hybrid methods, PromoterWizard, which can be employed to detect the core promoter region and the transcription start site (TSS) in vertebrate genomic DNA sequences,an issue of obvious importance for genome annotation efforts. PromoterWizard consists of three main modules and two auxiliary modules. The three main modules include CDRM (Composite Dependency Reflecting Model) module, SVM (Support Vector Machine) module, and ICM (Interpolated Context Model)module. The two auxiliary modules are CpG Island Detector and GCPlot that may contribute to improving the predictive accuracy of the three main modules and facilitating human curator to decide on the final annotation.

        GGEx18의 ethyl acetate 분획물에 의한 고지방식이 비만 마우스의 식이효율과 혈중 leptin 농도에 미치는 영향

        Objectives : This study was designed to determine the effects of the GGEx18 ethyl acetate fraction(EF) on body weight gain, feeding efficiency ratio, and obesity-related factors in plasma as well as histology of liver and adipose tissues using high fat diet-fed male C57BL/6N obese mice. Methods : 8 weeks old, high fat diet-fed obese male mice were divided into 5 groups: C57BL/6N normal, control, EF(1), EF(2) and EF(3). After mice were treated with EF for 9 weeks, we measured body weight gain, food intake, feeding efficiency ratio, fat weight, plasma leptin and lipid levels. We also analysed histology of liver and adipose tissues on high fat diet-fed male C57BL/6N obese mice. Results : Compared with control, EF-treated mice had significantly lower body weight gain and feeding efficiency ratio. Consistent with the effects on body weight gain, EF significantly decreased the adipose tissue weight compared with control. Consistent with the effects on feeding efficiency ratio, EF significantly decreased plasma leptin concentrations compared with control. EF reduced the size of adipocytes as well as hepatic lipid accumulation compared with control. EF seems to be safe since not only the plasma levels of ALT and AST are within the normal range, but also EF did not show any toxic effects on organs. EF(3) was most effective among EF(1), EF(2), and EF(3) at doses of 25, 50, and 100 mg/kg, respectively. Conclusions : These results demonstrate that EF effectively reduces body weight gain, feeding efficiency ratio in high fat diet-fed obese mice, leading to the modulation of obesity. In addition, EF decreases the size of adipocytes and improves plasma lipids and controls hepatic lipid accumulation, suggesting that EF may act as a therapeutic agent for obesity.

      • 부품영상인식을 통한 SPOT용접 자동화시스템의 설계 및 구현

        기존의 SPOT용접시스템은 작업자의 부주의로 인한 불량이 자주 발생한다. 이를 위해 비전카메라를 설치해서 용접되는 부품을 인식하고, 용접된 제품과 수량 등의 관리항목을 집중 관리하는 SPOT용접 자동화시스템을 제안한다. 제안하는 시스템은 공급기에서 공급한 너트나 볼트를 사람의 육안만으로 확인하여 용접하는 기존의 방식과는 달리, 비전카메라를 이용하여 부품의 유무와 뒤집힘 등을 확인한 후 용접하고, 수량카운터와 드레싱 등의 관리항목을 자동 관리한다. 따라서 용접 불량률을 감소시키고 작업 관리자의 업무 효율성을 높일 수 있다.

        신냉매 R1234yf의 외부 응축 열전달계수

        In this study, external condensation heat transfer coefficients(HTCs) of R134a and R1234yf are measured on a plain, low fin, and Turbo-C tubes at the saturated vapor temperature of 39℃ with the wall subcooling of 3~8℃. R1234yf is a new alternative refrigerant of low greenhouse warming potential for replacing R134a which is one of the greenhouse gases controlled by Kyoto protocol and is used extensively in mobile air-conditioners. Test results show that the external condensation HTCs of R1234yf are very similar to those of R134a for all three surfaces tested. For the application of condensation heat transfer correlations to the design of condensers charged with R1234yf, thorough property measurements are needed for R1234yf in the near future.

        영상인식 기술을 이용한 프로젝션용접 자동화시스템

        수작업에 의한 기존의 프로젝션(projection) 용접시스템은 작업자의 부주의로 인한 불량이 자주 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 비전카메라를 사용하여 부품과 제품의 인식, 용접 및 수량 관리를 자동으로 수행하는 프로젝션 용접시스템을 제안한다. 제안 시스템은 비전카메라를 사용하여 용접에 사용되는 부품의 유무와 놓인 상태를 검사한다. 그리고 부품의 용접 후에는 제품 수량 카운터와 드레싱 등의 항목을 자동 갱신한다. 기존 시스템과의 비교 실험을 통해 불량률을 감소시키고 생산성을 높일 수 있음을 보인다. Conventional projection welding systems suffer from lots of defective products caused by manual handling. In this paper, we introduce a projection welding system that performs automatic identification, welding and counting of components and products. The proposed system checks the existence and identifies placement of components to be welded by a vision camera. After welding of the components, it automatically updates product counts and dressing items. We show that the proposed welding system can reduce the defect rate and improve the productivity through experimental test with a existing system.
