Image-guided nanomedicine for cancer

Since current treatment options applicable to cancers are still confined to chemotherapeutics followed by surgical debulking, cancer disease is a second leading cause of death because of chemotherapeutics of non-specific biodistribution. Image-guided drug delivery system (IGDDS) is a real-time noninvasive imaging assessment of therapeutic response that has the strong potential to control or suppress cancer because imaging property offer the quantification of nanomedicine at the intended disease site, thus the potential assurance of adequate treatment and elimination of undesirable delay leading to poor clinical outcomes. Also, combining pH-sensitive advantages of nanoparticle with theranostic property will have high chance to overcome cancer. There have been intensive researches to develop innovative IGDDS by using nanoparticles including organic or inorganic theranostic (therapy + diagnostic) systems including liposomes, polymeric micelles, dendrimers, carbon nanotubes, gold nanoparticles, iron oxide nanoparticles, quantum dots, and silica nanoparticles. In this review, we will introduce various examples of each system and will discuss their theranostic applications.
「申請する」「申し込む」「申し出る」の意味特徴 の重なりとずれについて -「신청하다」との対照を通して-

This paper is to study the duplication and differences in the meaning featuresof ‘sinseisuru’‘mousikomu’ and‘mousideru’, which has the synonym relations inJapanese, whereas is one-to-one correspondence to ‘sincheonghada’, a Korean word,which corresponds to several japanese words, and are words which cause KoreanJapanese learners to make a mistake and to collate ‘sinseisuru’ with ‘sincheonghada’in Korean. The result of collation in them showed that ‘sinseisuru’had the similar meaningsto 'to request permission, approval, and delivery of goods for national or publicorganizations etc', whereas ‘mousikomu’ and ‘mousideru’ had the same as themeaning which was 'to report civil petition, requisition, hope, volition, and opinionetc. officially'. In addition, it was investigated that according to context, some ofmeaning features were represented superficially due to depressed meaning features. Next, the result of collating showed that ‘sinseisuru’ was one-to-onecorrespondence to ‘sincheonghada’. On the other hand, ‘mousikomu’ and ‘mousideru’were the counterparts of 'sincheonghada''yocheonghada' 'yoguhada' and 'malhada'. It was investigated that in translatingKorean into Japanese, 'sincheonghada'corresponds with 'sinseisuru' 'mousikomu', and'mousideru' whereas three words such as 'sinseisuru' 'mousikomu' 'mousideru' causedthe subtle difference in their meaning features and usage owing to synonym relations. 본고에서는 한국어를 모어로 하는 일본어학습자가 틀리기 쉬운 語중에서 한국어의 한 語에 대해 복수의 일본어가 대응하고 또한 그 語들이 일본어 내에 있어서 유의관계에 있는 「申請する」와 「申し込む」「申し出る」의 의미특징의 중복과 차이에 관하여 고찰하고 한국어의 「신청하다」와의 대조고찰을실시했다. 고찰 결과, 「申請する」가 「(국가·공공단체 등의 기관에)허가·인가 등을 요구하다.」「(국가·공공단체 등의 기관에)물품의 교부를 요구하다.」라는 의미특징을 가지고 있고, 「申し込む」와 「申し出る」는 「의견·의지·희망·요구·민원등을 정식으로 전하다」라는 의미특징을 공유하고 있고, 문맥에 따라 意味特徴이 억압되어 일부분의 의미특징만이 전면에 나타나기도 한다는 것을 알았다. 다음으로 韓国語와 대조 분석한 결과,「申請する」는 「신청하다」와 1:1 대응을 하는 것을 알았다. 이에 대해서 「申し込む」와 「申し出る」는 각각 「신청하다」「요청하다」「요구하다」「(말)하다」 등과 대응한다. 한편 한국어의 일본어역을 보면, 「신청하다」는 「申請する」「申し込む」「申し出る」등과 대응하고 있고 게다가 「申請する」「申し込む」「申し出る」 3語는 일본어내에 있어서 類義関係에 있기 때문에 그 의미특징과 용법 등에 있어서 미묘한 차이가 생긴다.
Engineering of live human cell surfaces for the multi-functional cell-biosensor

In this study, we introduced biomolecules such as biotin-streptavidin, ssDNA (Aptamer), Poly-L-lysine, Hyaluronic acid (PLL/HA) on cell surface to produce e-PBMCs (engineered Peripheral blood mononuclear cells). Characterization, preparation, detection ability, morphology, loading efficiency of engineered live immune cells as cell-based platform were evaluated. This cell-based platform is expected to be useful for studying the homing mechanism of immune cells, the role of immune response intermediates, and intercellular communication.

A highly efficient synthetic route was successfully developed to prepare crystallized and well dispersed Cu, Cu2O, and CuO nanoparticles (NPs) on reduced graphene oxide (rGO) by controlling the impregnation condition of a copper-precursor (Cu(NO3)2$3H2O) on graphene oxide (GO) and subsequent thermal treatments. The morphological and chemical structures of the nanocomposites were systemically evaluated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), X-ray absorption fine structure (XAFS), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The rGO based CuOx nanocomposites exhibited a much higher catalytic activity than bare CuOx NPs toward the decomposition reaction of dye molecules under visible light illumination. Among the CuOx/rGO nanocomposites, CuO/rGO showed excellent photocatalytic efficiency and recyclability without significant loss of activity. Based on the XPS, XRD, XAFS, and TEM results, the high photocatalytic efficiency of the CuO/rGO can be attributed to the synergistic combination of dye adsorptivity and electron acceptability of the rGO, the surface hydroxyl species in the CuO/rGO, and the narrow band gap and smaller size of the CuO NPs. This work could be applied to the removal and water treatment of waste dye.
