Viability variation of the second chromosomes of Drosophila melanogaster has been measured from a natural population at Anyang near Seoul. The frequency of drastics (lethal plus semilethal) was about 23 percent. The average viability of all homozygotes was 0.716±0.016, of quasinormals 0.904±0.009, and of random heterozygotes 1.058±0.007. The effective size of the population was estimated at 3,100 by using the rate of allelism (0.021=65/3094). This paper describes a case of stable gene frequency in the past 14 years. The relation of these results to the population size of D. melanogaster was discussed.
중소기업의 정부지원형 ERP시스템 도입 영향요인에 관한 연구

Government initiatives are continuously being invested to nurture supporting business environment for small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs), such as government-support ERP systems project for SMEs. As such, scholars need to pay attention to SMEs can successfully adopt and manage government-support ERP systems. This study, therefore, conceptually developed and tested a research model for understanding what factors influence SMEs` intention to adopt government-support ERP systems. We obtained thirty samples from SMEs, which is organizational level, and data were analyzed using the partial least square (PLS) technique. The results of data analysis found that institutional pressure and resource dependence had positive effects on the adoption of government-support ERP systems. On the other hand, risk aversion of SMEs was found to have negative effects to adopt government-support ERP systems.
반룡환이 D-galactose로 유발된 노화 흰쥐의 항산화능에 미치는 영향

Objectives : This study was done to examine the antioxidant actions of free radicals caused by Banryong-hwan in blood.. Methods : Twelve week-old SD rats were divied into normal group, control group and HTG group. Control and HTG groups were age-induced with D-galactose, and extract of Banryong-hwan(BRH) was administerd to BRH group for six weeks. After then, blood was taken, and activities of SOD and GSH-px in erythrocytes were measured, as well as TBARS levels and concentrations of total lipid tryglyceride in plasma. Results : 1. The activities of SOD and GSH-px in erythrocytes were significantly increased in the BRH group compared with control group. 2. The concentration of total lipid was significantly decreased in the BRH group compared with control group. The values of TBARS and the concentrations of tryglyceride in plasma showed a tendency to decrease but they were not remarkable. Conclusions : Judging from the above findings, it is suggested that Banryong-hwan decrease the activities of free radical, the concentrations of lipid in plasma and generate enzyme which form lipid peroxide.
