In this paper, performance of the gas turbine combined cycle(GTCC) using pre-combustion carboncapture technology was comparatively analysed. Steam reforming and autothermal reforming were used. In thelatter, two different methods were adopted to supply oxygen for the reforming process. One is to extract air formgas turbine compressor (air blowing) and the other is to supply oxygen directly from air separation unit (O2blowing). To separate CO2 from the reformed gas, the chemical absorption system using MEA solution was used. The net cycle efficiency of the system adopting O2 blown autothermal reforming was higher than the other twosystems. The system using air blown autothermal reforming exhibited the largest net cycle power output. In additionto the performance analysis, the influence of fuel reforming and carbon capture on the operating condition of thegas turbine and the necessity of turbine re-design were investigated.
중독성 선종으로 방사성요오드 치료 후 발생한 그레이브스병 1예

We report a rare case of radioactive iodine (RAI)-induced Graves’ disease in a patient with toxic adenoma. A 42-year-old woman presented with neck masses. A hot nodule was detected on a thyroid scan, which suggested toxic adenoma. She was treated with RAI. Three months after the treatment, she complained of thyrotoxic symptoms such as weight loss, palpitation, diarrhea, and menstrual irregularity. A new thyroid scan showed diffuse increased uptake, while the toxic adenoma previously detected was now a cold nodule. Moreover, an increased level of antibodies against the thyroid-stimulating hormone receptor was detected. These findings indicated Graves’ disease. Hence she was treated with anti-thyroid drug. This case serves as a reminder for physicians to consider RAI-induced Graves’ disease if thyrotoxicosis is noted after RAI treatment.
Multifunctional Nanomaterial-alginate Drug Delivery and Imaging System for Cancer Therapy

Although chemotherapy is mostly performed by direct injection of the chemotherapeutic agents systemically, this approach can cause undesirable side effects in normal tissues and lacks targeting efficiency. In this study, we have developed a micron-sized, bead-type multifunctional anticancer-drug carrier that can be injected in the vicinity of a lesion using a syringe. The multifunctional anticancer-drug carrier bead was fabricated by incorporating functional nanomaterials, such as near-infrared (NIR)-responsive gold nanorod (GNR) and superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles (IONP) that work as a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) contrast agent, into an alginate hydrogel bead. The carrier bead containing GNR and IONP was spherical, with an average size of 362.2 ± 22.7 μm. These multifunctional anticancer-drug carrier beads could successfully release doxorubicin (Dox) into the external environment upon irradiation with an NIR laser. The laser responsive on-demand release profile demonstrated well-controlled and sustained release of Dox, and the effectiveness of this drug delivery system can be confirmed in vitro by the 3- (4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide assay. Additionally, the control experiments evidenced that the thermal effect of GNR was insignificant and the cytotoxic action of Dox was expressed only after irradiation with the NIR laser. The multifunctional anticancer-drug carrier beads can be precisely monitored with the MRI T2 imaging mode.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report the Korean medicine treatment on whole-body nummular eczema. Methods : This case study was conducted with a 66-year-old female patient who has whole-body nummular eczema treated by Korean medicine. She was treated from 2021.3.30 to 2021.6.28. During the treatment, the two herbal medicines were changed depending on the patient's condition. We treated her with herbal medicine, herbal external preparations and acupuncture treatment. For the evaluation of the results, we used photo comparison, VAS, and DLQI. Results : After the treatment, the nummular eczema lesions of patient was remarkably improved. Also, the VAS grade of other symptoms such as pruritus, burning sense, oozing, crusting and erythema were decreased and DLQI score changed from 27 to 2. Conculsions : This study suggests that Korean medicine treatments are effective for patient with recurrent nummular eczema.
사파이어 단결정의 basal (0001) 결정면에 미세압흔시 온도에 따른 압흔 주위 미세구조에 관한 연구

The Vickers microhardness was measured on the basal (0001) plane of sapphire single crystals in the temperature range from 25$^{\circ}C$to 1000$^{\circ}C$. The substructure surrounding the indents was investigated using selective chemical polishing and etching, optical microscopy, and trasmission electron microscopy (TEM). At room temperature, cracks were predominant, and at intermediate temperatures (400$^{\circ}C$and 600$^{\circ}C$), extensive rhombohedral twinning was observed. On the other hand, at higher temperatures, prism plane slip bands on prism plane {1120}(원문참조) were dominant in the microstructure. TEM observations revealed that the dislocation substructure at the vicinity of the indents consisted of fairly straight dislocations lying in basal and/or prism planes and aligned along the <1100> and <1120> directions. The details of the glide dissociation of perfect <110> screw dislocations into three collinear 1/3<1100> partials on the prism plane and the Peierls potential for sapphire single crystals were discussed.

사파이어 ($\alpha$-$Al_2$$O_3$) 단결정에 있어 basal slip (0001)1/3<1120>의 전위속도를 4점 곡강도를 이용하여, 측정하였다. 이 곡강도는 온도 $1200^{\circ}C$ 에서 $1400^{\circ}C$ 그리고 응력은 90MPa, 120MPa, 160MPa에서 행하여졌다. 전위속도는 4 점굽힘 시편의 굽힘변위속도에 의해 구하여졌다. 얻어진 전위속도를 이용하여 전위속도의 온도 및 응력 의존성에 대해 검토하였다. 전위속도의 온도의존성을 이용하여 basal slip 전위속도를 위한 활성화에너지를 구하였으며, 그 값은 대략 2.2$\pm$0.4eV이었다. 한편, 전위속도의 응력의존성을 나타내는 응력지수 m은 2.0$\pm$0.2이었다. The basal slip (0001)1/3<1120 > dislocation velocity in sapphire ($\alpha$-$Al_2$$O_3$) single crystals was measured by four-point bending test. The bending experiment was carried out in the temperature range from 120$0^{\circ}C$ to $1400^{\circ}C$ at various engineering stresses 90MPa, 120MPa, and 150MPa. The velocity of such dislocations was estimated from the bending displacement rate of the four-point bend sample. The dependence of temperature and stress in dislocation velocity was investigated. The activation energy for dislocation velocity was determined to be about 2.2$\pm$0.4eV. In addition, the stress exponent (m) describing the stress dependence of dislocation velocities was in the range of 2.0$\pm$0.2.
