- This paper is concerned with level control of a upper plate in a vehicle. The objective of control is to maintain the upper plate at level regardless of road slopes. The road slope is detected using an accelerometer-type inclinometer and H infinity control method is used to simultaneously reduce effects of road slopes and sensor noises. By the simulation, it is shown that the upper plate is successfully maintained at level.

콩 톱다리개미허리노린재 피해와 관련형질의 품종간 차이

자연발생포장 및 톱다리개미허리노린재 접종구에서 협 피해 및 수량 감소가 적었던 품종은 풍산나물콩, 소백나물콩, 두유콩, 신팔달콩 2호로 다른 품종에 비해 노린재 선호도가 낮은 품종으로 생각되었고, 명주나물콩, 만리콩, 황금콩은 피해가 심한 품종으로 분류되었다. 콩 품종간 톱다리개미허리노린재 선호성으로 모용색이 회백색인 품종군의 피해율이 13.0%인데 비해 갈색모용의 품종군은 8.2%로 피해율이 낮았으며, 제색도 황색에 비해 담갈색>갈색>회갈색 순으로 제 In recent years, an increasing amount of research has been conducted on the yield loss of soybean crop caused by Riptortus clavatus, a serious pest of legumes. The objective of this study were to examine crop damage caused by various population densities of R. clavatus and determine the association of unique growth and seed characteristics with crop damage rate in conventional soybean fields. Major growth responses to R. clavatus were examined. The cultivars that were not as seriously damaged by R. clavatus were Pungsannamulkong, Sobaegknamulkong, Duyoukong, and Sinpaldal 2, but Myeongjunamulkong, Mallikong, and Hwangkeumkong were significantly (P<0.05) damaged. The rate of seed damage caused by R. clavatus was 8.2% in a group of brown colored pubescence, while the rate was 13.0% in a group of the gray colored. Crop damage by R. clavatus clearly more reduced in cultivars with dark hilum colors including dark brown, brown, and grayish brown than those with yellow hilum colors. Concerning pod colors, crop damage was less significant in cultivars with dark brown pod color than with the light brown. Cultivars with short pod length (4.0-4.5 cm) at full seed (R6) stage showed lower seed damage rates by R. clavatus than those with long pod length (>5.6 cm). Therefore, characteristics of hilum, pod, pubescence colors, and pod length were significantly related and linked to the cultivar resistance to R. clavatus.

A 3 year-old female patient was examined because of thumb-tip sized erythematous, verrucose, granulomatous mass on the nose, and coin to hen egg sized well demarked annular plaques with central atrophy and peripheral scaling, appeared on the left deltoid and clavicular area. The skin lesions showed so-called apple jelly color on diascopic examinatian. Biopsy from the lesions of nose and the left deltoid area revealed typical pictures of lupus vulgaris. Chest PA and flat abdomen revealed irregular bony destruction with reactive sclerosis involving left clavicle, 6th, 7th and 9th ribs and right 7th rib, and both iliac bones along the sacroiliac joint, and also noted unusual prominence of right paratracheal shadow. The patient was treated with isoniazid, ethambutol, rifampicin, and now is under our our observation

On the Significance of Homosexuality in the Encounter between Lawrence and the Cambridge-Bloomsbury Circle

This paper examines the assumption that Lawrence’s revulsion at the Cambridge-Bloomsbury circle was chiefly prompted by their homosexuality rather than by their intellectual climate. Quentin Bell and Rosenbaum argue that Lawrence’s reaction to the Keynes set was derived from his shock at the homosexuality rampant among the circle rather than from his view of their intellectual outlook. Hence they hold that the view of Keynes and Leavis of the conflict between Lawrence and the circle as intellectual and ideological discrepancy is misleading. Yet a closer look into Lawrence’s letters and works dealing with the figures of the circle reveals that his initial aversion to the Keynes’s group was triggered by the particular combination of the predatory and corrupt sense of homosexuality and smug rationalism. He saw in them complacent bourgeois rationalism and self-indulgent individualism. There are essential incongruities between the two sides in social and educational background, sensibility, and approach to life and culture. As a member of the younger generation of the Bloomsbury Group, Bell probably wanted to save the legacy of the group by mainly focusing on the question of personal and sexual rather than on intellectual and ideological aspects. On the other hand, by viewing the encounter exclusively from an intellectual and social angle, Leavis might have wanted to avoid scandal for both Lawrence and the Cambridge people although probably he knew about the sexual origin of the conflict.

갈색종피,소립 고수율 나물용 콩 신품종 "갈채"

"갈채"는 유색 고수율 나물콩 신품종 육성을 목표로 농촌진흥청 국립식량과학원에서 육성한 나물콩 품종으로 주요특성을 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. "갈채"의 신육형은 유한형, 꽂색은 자색, 엽형은 타원형이며, 모용색 및 성숙기 꼬투리색은 갈색이고, 종피색 및 배꼽색은 갈색으로 립형은 구형이다. 2. "갈채"의 성숙기는 10월 2일로 다원콩보다 6일 늦은 중생종이며, 100립중이 8.4 g으로 소립종이다. 3. "갈채"는 콩 모자이크병 중 괴저병에 강하며 A new sprout-soybean cultivar, "Galchae" was developed at the National Institute of Crop Science (NICS) in 2008. Galchae was selected from a cross between YS1287 and Jinju#1. The preliminary, advanced, and regional yield trials to evaluate the performance of Iksan 64 were carried out from 2005 to 2008. This cultivar has a determinate growth habit with purple flower, brown pubescence, brown seed coat, brown hilum, rhomboid leaflet shape and small seed size (8.4 grams per 100 seeds). The maturity date of "Galchae" is 6 days later than the check variety, "Dawon". It has good seed quality for soybean-sprout and resistance to lodging. This cultivar has resistance to soybean mosaic virus (SMV) and necrotic symptom (SMV-N). The average yield of "Galchae" was 2.51 ton per hectare in the regional yield trials (RYT) for double cropping carried out for two years from 2007 to 2008.

Discourse of Death and Cultural Trnasgression in D.H. Lawrence

This essay is a reading of Lawrence’s representation of death in the context of Heidegger, Derrida, and Tibetan Buddhism. Lawrence’s view of death in his prose and poetry is distinct from the dualistic and spiritual discourse in Western convention. He shows confrontation with the anxiety over death can be an illuminating experience. Particularly, by revealing some non-orthodox aspects(metempsychosis and Bardo), his description embodies a radical transgression of the Western discourse of death.

유럽 문화의 위기와 D.H. 로렌스

At the turn of the twentieth century, there was a widespread awareness of crisis and decline in Europe. The frustrated moderns were led to a fundamental scepticism and distrust over their cultural legacies. The countercultural quest of Lawrence corresponds with the standpoint of Lebensphilosophie and the Weimar mandarins. The doubt about the faith in progress and reason, and the resistance to repression and violence propounded by Lawrence’s generation provided an opportunity for a relativist perspective to identify the problems in European society and comprehend its historical bearings. In order to address some critical, yet neglected contexts and facts, this essay adopts an interdisciplinary and history of ideas approach. By contextualizing Lawrence’s life and work rather than by closely reading specific texts, this essay aims at a new and comprehensive understanding of modernity, which, I believe, is not achieved through a detailed and meticulous analysis and explication only.
