고성능 ILP 프로세서를 위한 새로운 레지스터 할당 기법

Recently, a role of optimizing compiler has been very important to enhance performance of Instruction Level Parallelism(ILP) processors. Because of their complex hardware design and cost to enhance parallelism by hardware, there are many researches in this area to improve performance with the support of compiler. In this paper, by combining register allocation and code scheduling, an extended register allocation scheme is proposed to enhance the code scheduling efficiency when register allocation is performed. A proposed register allocation algorithm reduces the data dependence relations and leaves few redundant registers after register allocation. Experimental results are shown that proposed scheme reduces the 19% execution clock cycles and the 73% complexity of data dependence relations than the conventional register allocation algorithm. So, an extended register allocation scheme is verified that it is an effective register allocation method in ILP processors.

In this paper, heuristics for efficient prepass code scheduling with reducing register life times is proposed. Because code motion for scheduling makes register life time longer, the possibility of register allocation is reduced. Also, it complicates interference graph and inserts more spill codes in program. In order to resolve this program, the heuristic of this paper executes prepass code scheduling first. Then constructs dependence graph before register allocation and code motion. As a result of applying the heuristics to a program, it is verified that the complexity of the interference graph for register allocation is reduced.

In this paper, we propose a message authentication method using chaining blocks. This method is more efficient and reliable than the conventional message authemtication method having a single authenticator. The proposed block chaining method with the parameters such as total message block, authenticate rate and block size is experimented. When a bit error rate is 10-²(10??) in communication channel, the chaining block method shows more efficient and reliable results.

Flat plate specimens with three circular holes were subjected to pure bending. The stress distribution, stress concentration factors, and movement of the isotropic point of these specimens were studied by the photoelastic method and finite element method. Photoelastic method has been a good technique for complete engineering analysis, but the finite element method has developed simutaneously with the increasing use of high speed electronic digital computers and with the growing emphasis on numerical methods for engineering analysis. The Athors try to make comparisons of these two methods.

승화방법에 의해 CdS_0.46Se_0.54 단결정을 성장하여 결정구조를 조사하고, Van der Pauw 방법으로 Hall effect를 측정하여 carrier density의 온도 의존성과 mobility의 온도 의존성을 조사하였다. 성장된 CdS_0.46Se_0.54 단결정을 치환반응하여 n-CdS_0.46Se_0.54/p-Cu_2-xS_0.46Se_0.54 이종접합 태양전지를 제작하였다. Spectral response, 전류-전압특성 및 전력변환 효율을 조사하여 그 결과로부터 개방전압은 0.48V, 단락 전류 밀도는 21mA/㎠, fill factor와 전력변환효율은 각각 0.75와 9.5%를 얻었다. CdS_0.46Se_0.54 single crystal was grown by a sublimation method. The crystal structure and the temperature dependence of carrier density and mobility of CdS_0.46Se_0.54 single crystal were studied. Heterojunction solar cells on n-CdS_0.46Se_0.54/p-Cu_2-xS_0.46Se_0.54 were fabricated by the substitution reaction. The spectral response, the J-U characteristics and the conversion efficiency of the n-CdS_0.46Se_0.54/p-Cu_2-xS_0.46Se_0.54 heterojunction solar cells were studied. The open-cricuit voltage, short-circuit density, fill factor and conversion efficiency of n-CdS_0.46Se_0.54/p-Cu_2-xS_0.46Se_0.54 heterojunction solar cells under 80mW/㎠ illumination were found to be 0.48V, 21mA/㎠, 0.75 and 9.5%, respectively.
SARS-CoV-2-Naïve Korean Children and Adolescents Hospitalized With COVID-19 in 2021

Background: The risk of severe outcomes with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) delta variant remains low in children and adolescents, but less is known about its effect on the SARS-CoV-2-naïve population. This study evaluated clinical manifestations and risk factors for moderate-to-critical coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in mostly SARS-CoV-2-naïve children and adolescents in 2021. Methods: This multicenter retrospective study included patients aged 0–18 years who were hospitalized with COVID-19 at 8 referring hospitals in South Korea during the predeltapredominant and delta-predominant periods in 2021. Each case was labeled as either hospitalization with medical needs or for isolation. Severity was categorized as mild, moderate, severe, or critical with regard to pneumonia presence and illness severity. Results: Among 753 cases, most (99.5%) had no prior history of COVID-19 or vaccination against COVID-19. The proportions of hospitalization with medical needs (3.5% vs. 19.7%), moderate illness (0.9% vs. 4.0%), and severe/critical illness (0.8% vs. 5.3%) increased during delta predominance. The risk of moderate-to-critical COVID-19 among hospitalizations with medical needs was higher among patients aged 12–18 years (adjusted odds ratio [aOR], 4.1; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.5–11.8) and with obesity (aOR, 6.9; 95% CI, 2.4–19.6) but not among patients infected during delta predominance. However, children with obesity experienced more severe COVID-19 during delta predominance (aOR, 6.1; 95% CI, 1.2–29.6). Conclusion: Despite its similar severity among most SARS-CoV-2-naïve children and adolescents, the delta variant may affect COVID-19 severity in those with high-risk underlying medical conditions. Underlying conditions, particularly obesity, may cause severe COVID-19 in children and adolescents, warranting strong consideration for vaccinating high-risk children.

Objectives: Gastric resection may predispose gallstone formation. However, the mechanism has not been clearly understood. To evaluate the relationship between gastric resection and gallstone formation, we compared gallbladder(GB) motility in gastrectomized
