        从知庄章的演变看马礼逊《五车韵府》的音系性质

        胡文嘉(Hu, Wenjia),?林?(Zheng, linxiao) 한국중어중문학회 2015 中語中文學 Vol.61 No.-

A Dictionary of the Chinese Language in Three Parts, complied by the British missionary Robert Morrison from 1815 to 1823, is the first Chinese-English dictionary in history which has made great contributions to the communication between China and West. What this paper focuses on is Woo-chay-yun-foo, the second part of Morrison’s great dictionary. In Woo-chay-yun-foo, Morrison developed romanizations for 12680 Chinese characters, which shed light on the pronunciation of Mandarin at that time. Presently, the research on Woo-chay-yun-foo is very limited, most of which is about the phonology recorded in this dictionary. This paper aims to continue the discussion of phonology by analyzing the pronunciation of the initial groups Zhi, Zhuang and Zhang in Woo-chay-yun-foo. It is found that in Woo-chay-yun-foo, the initials in group Zhi and Zhang are mainly pronounced as [tⓒ, tⓒ‘,ⓒ], while some of them are turned into [ts, ts‘,s] when combined with Geng She. The initials in group Zhuang, however, develops in two directions according to the finals following them: 1) ts, ts‘ and s before final group Yu; 2) tⓒ, tⓒ‘ and ⓒ before final group Jia. The pronunciation of group Zhi, Zhuang and Zhang in this dictionary is similar to what Xiong Zhenghui (1990) names “Nanjing type” when classifying modern Mandarin Chinese. In this sense, it is likely that what Woo-chay-yun-foo records is Mid-Q?ng Mandarin based on Nanjing Dialect.

Health-related quality of life of patients with inflammatory bowel disease in Singapore

( Prisca Yue Min Ho ),( Wenjia Hu ),( Ying Yun Lee ),( Chuxi Gao ),( Yan Zhi Tan ),( Hua Heng Cheen ),( Hwee Lin Wee ),( Teong Guan Lim ),( Wan Chee Ong ) 대한장연구학회 2019 Intestinal Research Vol.17 No.1

Background/Aims: Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is associated with considerable impairment of patients’ health-related quality of life (HRQoL). Knowledge of factors that significantly affect IBD patients’ HRQoL can contribute to better patient care. However, the HRQoL of IBD patients in non-Western countries are limited. Hence, we assessed the HRQoL of Singaporean IBD patients and identified its determinants. Methods: A prospective, cross-sectional study was conducted at Singapore General Hospital outpatient IBD Centre. The HRQoL of IBD patients was assessed using the short IBD questionnaire (SIBDQ), Short Form-36 physical and mental component summary (SF-36 PCS/MCS) and EuroQol 5-dimensions 3-levels (EQ-5D-3L) and visual analogue scale (VAS). Independent samples t-test was used to compare HRQoL between Crohn’s disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UC). Determinants of HRQoL were identified through multiple linear regression. Results: A total of 195 IBD patients (103 UC, 92 CD) with a mean disease duration of 11.2 years were included. There was no significant difference in HRQoL between patients with UC and CD. Factors that significantly worsened HRQoL were presence of active disease (b=-6.293 [SIBDQ], -9.409 [PCS], -9.743 [MCS], -7.254 [VAS]), corticosteroids use (b=-7.392 [SIBDQ], -10.390 [PCS], -8.827 [MCS]), poor medication adherence (b=-4.049 [SIBDQ], -1.320 [MCS], -8.961 [VAS]), presence of extraintestinal manifestations (b=-13.381 [PCS]), comorbidities (b=-4.531 [PCS]), non-employment (b=-9.738 [MCS], -0.104 [EQ-5D-3L]) and public housing (b=-8.070 [PCS], -9.207 [VAS]). Conclusions: The HRQoL is impaired in this Asian cohort of IBD. The magnitude of HRQoL impairment was similar in UC and CD. Clinical characteristics were better determinants of patients’ HRQoL than socio-demographic factors. Recognizing the factors that impact patients’ HRQoL would improve the holistic management of IBD patients. (Intest Res 2019;17:107-118)

Hesperidin Protects Against High-Fat Diet-Induced Lipotoxicity in Rats by Inhibiting Pyroptosis

        Ruixi Luo,Weiyi Tian,Yudie Hu,La Wang,Wenjia Wang,Ping Wang,Zunli Ke,Didong Lou 한국식품영양과학회 2024 Journal of medicinal food Vol.27 No.2

It is currently thought that excess fatty acid-induced lipotoxicity in hepatocytes is a critical initiator in thedevelopment of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). Lipotoxicity can induce hepatocyte death; thus, reducing lipotoxicityis one of the most effective therapeutic methods to combat NAFLD. Abundant evidence has shown that hesperidin(HSP), a type of flavanone mainly found in citrus fruits, is able to ameliorate NAFLD, but the molecular mechanisms areunclear. We previously reported that pyroptosis contributed to NAFLD development and that inhibiting pyroptosis contributedto blunting the progression of NAFLD in rat models. Therefore, we questioned whether HSP could contribute to amelioratingNAFLD by modulating pyroptosis. In this study, a high-fat diet (HFD) induced dyslipidemia and hepatic lipotoxicity in rats, and HSP supplementation ameliorated dyslipidemia and insulin resistance. In addition, the HFD also caused pyroptosis in theliver and pancreas, while HSP supplementation ameliorated pyroptosis. In vitro, we found that HSP ameliorated palmitic acidinducedlipotoxicity and pyroptosis in HepG2 and INS-1E cells. In conclusion, we showed for the first time that HSP has aprotective effect against liver and pancreas damage in terms of pyroptosis and provides a novel mechanism for the protectiveeffects of HSP on NAFLD.
