        Background : In recent years, gonorrhea has been panedemic and remains one of the most commom STDs in the world, especially in developing countries. Objective & Methods: For the detection of a more effective therapeutic regimen and assessing the prevalence of PPNG, we have been trying to study the patients who have visited the VD Clinic of Choong-Ku Public Health Center in Seoul since 1980 by means of the chromogenic cephalosporin method. Results: In 1996, 139 strains of N. gonorrhoeae were isolated, among which 53(39.0%) were PPNG. Conclusion: Our results suggests that after a peak of 74.3% in 1993, the prevalence of PPNG in Seoul is gradually declining.

        상처받은 주체의 치유, '몸'과 '세계'의 이중억압을 넘어서 : 『달력공장 공장장님 보세요』를 중심으로 본 김혜순의 시 세계

        This study seeks to investigate the interplay between 'body' and 'object' in the poetry of Kim, Hye-Soon. In Kim's poems, the body is the source of interminable existential crises and also the basis for suffering. Futthermore, the outer world that the body occupies proves to be no less an aggressive threat to the subject. In an attempt to effectively overcome this 'double oppression,' Kim foregrounds both the inner and the outer sphere affecting the body. However, in terms of the inner sphere, the wounded subject fails to overcome the limits sets by the reality principle. Likewise, in terms of te outer sphere, the attempt at the pluralization of the subject is also doomed to failure, insofar as the process f convergence back to a singular self ultimately comes into play. In the end, the yoke of multiple oppression can only be surmounted by re-establishing the relationship between the wounded subject and the external savior.

        Background : In recent years, gonorrhea has been pandemic and remains one of the most common STDs in the world, especially in developing countries. Results : In 1997. 99 strains of N. gonorrhoeae were isolated, among which 45(45.5%) were PPNG. Conclusion : The prevalence of PPNG in Seoul, which had been decreased to 39% in 1996 after a peak of 74.3% in 1993, is increased to 45.5% in 1997.

        Spontaneous retroperitoneal hemorrhage due to hemophilia A with impaired coagulopathy is very rare. Spontaneous retroperitoneal hemorrhage has been recorded as having originated from many retroperitoneal organs and blood vessels, and it may be due to local and/or systemic factors. In the majority of the patients, kidney and adrenal gland were the major site of hemorrhage. The systemic causes of spontaneous retroperitoneal hemorrhage are anticoagulation therapy and chronic hemodialysis. During the course of these treatments, hemorrhagic complications may occur at many site, including the retroperitoneal space. Blood dyscrasias including leukemia, polycythemia, sickle cell trait and hemophilia have been reported associated with spontaneous retroperitoneal hemorrhage.         고삼투압성 비케톤성 상태의 예후인자

        Background: A hyperosmolar nonketotic state has been known to have a high mortality, and even now, despite this high mortality, only a few studies of this disease have been performed. We studied the prognostic factors for the hyperosmolar nonketotic state. Methods: We retrospectively studied the cases of 40 patients who were in a hypersomolar nonketotic state when admitted to Sanggye Paik Hospital during the 6-year Period from 1995 through 2000. We divided the hyperosmolar nonketotic patients into two groups, the complete recovery group and the incomplete recovery group, and compared the clinical features, the laboratory findings, and the precipitating factors between two groups. Results: 1) A total of 40 patients were studied: 24 in the complete recovery group and 16 patients in the incomplete recovery group. The mortality rate was 32.5%. 2) No significant statistical difference existed among the clinical features of the two groups, except for the sex(p<0.01). 3) Among the laboratory findings of both groups, analysis revealed that the effective osmolarity was significantly higher among those in the incomplete recovery group(p<0.01). Serum sodium concentration was also significantly higher among those in the incomplete recovery group(p<0.01). Serum creatinine was also significantly higher among those in the incomplete recovery group(p<0.05). Serum bicarbonate concentration, on the other hand, was significantly lower among those in that group(p<0.05).4) Infection was identified as the most common precipitating factor(62.5%). Among the precipitating factors of the two groups, there were significant statistical difference in pneumonia, UTI, and inappropriate glucose control. 5) A significant statistical difference existed among the initial level of consciousness of both groups(p<0.05). 6) The only significant independent factor responsible for prognosis of nonketotic hyperosmolar state patients was the sex. Conclusion: The sex was only significant independent prognostic factor of nonketotic hyperosmolar state patients.

      • 도시공원녹지의 계절별 토양특성이 곰솔의 생육에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study is to clarify correlations between soil environments and the growth of trees in urban park and green areas and thereon analyze effects of seasonal changes in such environments on such growth. To determine seasonal factors of soil affecting the vitality of Pinus thunbergii, first of all, the study designated the vitality as a dependent variable and soil hardness, moisture, pH, K, Na, Mg and Ca as independent variables. Then the study performed Pearson's coefficient analysis. Based on findings from the analysis, the multiple regression analysis were carried out. The result of the study can be described as below; When correlations between the independent and dependent variables were examined using Pearson's correlation analysis, it wa found that the vitality, soil hardness, K, Na, Mg and Ca were significant at the level of 5%. Among those significant variables, the vitality and Mg were most correlated with the coefficient of 0.415, while K and Mg were least correlated with that of -0.235. Considering findings from the coefficient analysis, this researcher performed multiple regression analysis to determine soil factors influencing the growth of Pinus thunbergii. As a result. it was found that the growth was most influenced by Mg, followed by soil hardness and Ca in order. To clarity what soil factors influence the growth of Pinus thunbergii in spring, the researcher carried out multiple regress ion analysis to find that the growth was most influenced by pH. followed by soil hardness. Then the researcher applied multiple regression analysis to determine soil factors influencing the growth mentioned above in summer. The analysis showed that no soil factors affected the vitality at the significance level of 5% for t. Concerning relative importance based on the standard regressive coefficients, or β, K had the coefficient of 0.437 suggesting it was relatively more influential comparing to the other independent variables. Soil factors which influence the growth of Pinus thunbergii in fall were determined through multiple regressive analysis to find that the growth was influenced by soil hardness in the same season. Also such factors as affecting the growth mentioned above in winter were clarified using multiple regressive analysis to show that the growth was most influenced by soil hardness, followed by Mg, pH and Ca in order. In conclusion soil hardness had effects on the growth of Pinus thunbergii throughout four seasons except summer. Thus soil hardness is the most important factor for the growth of Pinus thunbergii. 본 연구는 도시공원녹지의 토양환경과 수목생육과의 상관관계를 구명하고, 계절별 토양 특성의 변화가 수목의 생육에 미치는 영향을 분석하고자 하였다. 곰솔의 수목활력 도에 영향을 미치는 계절별 토양인자를 알아보기 위하여 수목활력 도를 종속변수로 지정 하고 토양경도, 토양수분함량, 토양 pH , K, Na, Mg,Ca함량을 독립변수로 지정하여 Pearson 상관 분석을 수행한 후, 그 결과를 이용하여 다중 회귀분석을 실시하였으며 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 1) 각 변수들 간의 Pearson 상관분석을 실시한 결과, 유의확률 값 5%수준에서 유의한 변수는 수목활력도와 토양경도, K, Na, Mg Ca로 나타났다. 유의한 변수들 중 에서 수목활력도와 Mg가 상관계수 0.415로서 상관성 이 높게 나타났고 K와 Mg가 상관계수 - 0.235 로 상관성이 가장 낮게 나타났다. 2) 상관분석 결과를 바탕으로 곰솔의 생육에 미치는 조사지의 토양인자를 알아보기 위해 다중 회귀 분석한 결과, 경도, Mg, Ca가 수목활력 도에 유의적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 판단할 수 있었으며, 곰솔의 생육에 영향을 미치는 토양인자는 Mg, 토양경도, Ca 순으로 나타났다. 3) 곰솔의 생육에 영향을 미치는 봄철의 토양특성은 pH, 토양경도 순으로 나타났고, 곰솔의 생육에 영향을 미치는 여름철의 토양 특성은 없는 것으로 나타났으며, 곰솔의 생육에 영향을 미치는 가을 철 의 토양특성은 토양경도로 나타났고, 곰솔의 생육에 영향을 미치는 겨울철의 토양특성은 토양경도, Mg,pH, Ca 순으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과, 곰솔의 생육에 영향을 미치는 토양특성 중에서 토양경도는 여름을 제외한 모든 계절에 영향을 미치는 중요한 토양인자로 나타났다.

      • 도라지(Platycodi Radix)Saponin이 Aldehyde Oxidase活性에 미치는 影響

        實驗動物을 使用하여 aldehyde oxidase를 精製하고 이 精製酵素에 對하여 tyrosine의 中間代謝物인 dopamine 이 미치는 影響과 dopamine과 도라지saponin 分劃을 동시에 添加하였을때의 作用을 觀察로한 成積은 다음과 같다. 1. Aldehyde oxidase活性測定에 있어서 基質인 N-methylnicotinamide의 最適濃度는 5×10? M이었다. 2. Dopamine은 本 酵素에 경쟁적 억제작용을 나타내었다. 3. Dopamine과 도라지 saponin分劃을 同時에 添加 하였을때 本 酵素活性을 20% 정도 상승시켰다. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of dopamine and Platycodi Radix Saponin on the hepatic aldehyde oxidase activity in rabbit liver, in virtro test. 1. Aldehyde oxidase was measured optimum substrate concentration at 3×10? M and incubation time for 10 minutes. 2. Aldehyde oxidase were inhibited by dopamine. 3. It was observed that relationship between dopamine and substrate were competitive inhibition on aldehyde oxidase. 4. Platycodi Radix butanol fraction increased the enzyme activity.

      • Isoniazide 투여에 의한 Catecholamine의 생체내 변동에 미치는 Pyridoxal의 영향

        Isoniazide is used in the treated of TB,the treatment of vitamine B?? is required in order to prevent their associated side effect, especially peripheral neuritis and severe exrcitation. The present work was undertaken to investigate the drug interaction between INAH and pyridoxal. When effect of pyridoxamine and pyridoxine on the hepatic mitochondrial MAO activity was investigated in vivo and in vitro test, its was slightly increased. But pyridoxal was significantly increased the activity of mitochondrial MAO compared to control. pyridoxal pretreatment in INAH-treated rats led to increased hepatic MAO activity and decreased catecholamine level in serum and urine. It was also observed that VMA level in the urine was insreased significantly the pretreatment with pyridoxal compared with INAH-treated group. Consequently, it was observed that the action of detoxification by the pretreatment of pyridoxal was due to the increasment of hepatic mitochondrial MAO activity and VMA excretion.

      • Orotic acid 투여가 흰쥐의 혈청, 肝臟 및 腎臟 지질 농도에 미치는 영향

        Orotic acid 의 과잉 섭취는 지질대사의 이상으로 인한 간 장해를 야기시키는 것이 알려져있다. 특히 지방간 생성에 대하여 관심을 가지게 되어서 본 연구는 orotic acid에 의한 혈청, 腎臟및 肝臟의4 지질 농도에 미치는 영향에 대하여 검토하였다. 시판 분말 chow 식이에 orpotic acid 1% 첨가, 무첨가한 식이를 21일간 90g전후의 성장기 Spragud-Dawley 系 웅성 쥐에 급여하였다. 그 결과 orotic acid 1% 첨가 식이에서 혈청 cholesterol, triglyceride및 phospholipid 농도는 각각 5% 수준에서 유의하게 저하하였다. 肝臟의 triglyceride농도는 5% 수준에서 유의하게 저하하였다, Orotic acid 첨가 식이에서 肝臟중량은 증가한 반면 腎臟중량은 저하하였다. Orotic acid 1% 첨가한 군에서 肝臟및 腎臟의 phospholipid 조성에의 영향은 인정되지 않았으나, 腎臟의 lysophosphatidylcholine은 높은 증가율을 보였다. 肝臟 phospholipid와 비교하여 腎臟에서는 sphingomyeline phospphatidylethanolamin은 유의하게 높은 분포를 나타냈다. 腎臟 phospholipid의 지방산 조성중에서 linoleic acid(18:2)가 상승하고 arachidonic acid (20:4)가 감소하였다. It was generally known that over-ingestion of dietary orotic acid caused hepatic disorder by the lesion of fatty acid and cholesterol synthesis in rats. The present study was carried out to investigate the effects of dietary orotic acid on the lipid composition of serum. liver and kidney of rats. For the experiments rats were fed with commercialized chow powder diet in the presence or absence of 1% orotic acid. The prepared diets were fed to male rats (Sprague-Dawley strain. 90∼100g of body weight) for 21 days. According to the results, orotic acid treated group showed that each concentration of serum cholesterol, triglyceride and phospholipid was significantly decreased (p<0.05). The centration of liver triglyceride was significantly decreased (p<0.05). In the presence of 1% orotic acid, the weight of liver increased while that kidney decreased. The treatment of orotic acid seemed to have no effects on the phospholipid composition in liver and kidney, except the kidney lysophosphatidylcholine. In the comparison of the phospholipid composition between liver and kidney, the levels of sphingomyeline and phosphtidylethanolamine in the kidney were higher than those in the liver. Among the composition of fatty acid in kidney, the concentration of linoleic acid (18:2) was increased, and the concentration of arachidonic acid(20:4) was decreased with the addition of the orotic acid.

      • 인터넷상에서의 최적 얼굴인식 시스템에 관한 연구

        본 논문은 다중 프레임(연속적 입력영상)을 이용한 실시간 얼굴인식 시스템에 관한 연구로써, 네트워크를 통한 얼굴인식 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 알고리즘은 우선 영상의 압축 및 축소 기법을 이용하여 전송 지연의 감소와 처리시간을 줄이고, 이에 따라 전체적인 인식 시간을 줄이는 것을 목표로 하고 있으며, 또한 여러 장의 입력영상을 이용하여 인식률을 높이는 방법을 제안하고자 한다. 그러나 단순히 기존의 방법인 point to point 방식인 단순 거리 계산은 오차가 많기 때문에 본 논문에서는 개선된 Class to Class방식인 Majority-Making-Decision rule을 이용하여 몇 개의 연속적인 입력영상을 모델영상의 인식의 단위로 이용하여 인식률을 높였다. 논문은 영상의 압축률과 크기에 따른 인식률의 상관관계를 바탕으로 전체적인 시스템 구현과 함께 알고리즘을 소개하는 것으로 구성되어 있으며, 실제 실험을 통한 성능을 비교 평가 하였다.
