      • Hydrogenophaga soli sp. nov., isolated from rice field soil

        <P>A novel Gram-stain-negative bacterial strain, designated strain S10(T), was isolated from soil collected in a rice field in Goyang, South Korea. Cells of strain S10(T) were strictly aerobic, motile and rod-shaped. Colonies were round, convex, smooth and white. The strain grew optimally at 37 degrees C, pH 7.0 and 0% (w/v) NaCl. Phylogenetic analysis of the 16S rRNA gene sequence of strain S10(T) revealed that the bacterium belongs to the family Comamonadaceae and is related to members of the genus Hydrogenophaga, with Hydrogenophaga caeni EMB71(T) being its closest relative (97.9% sequence similarity). The DNA G+C content of strain S10(T) was 68.2 mol%. Strain S10(T) contained phosphatidylethanolamine and diphosphatidylglycerol as the major polar lipids. The major fatty acids were C-16:0 and summed feature 3 (C-16:1 omega 7c and/or iso-C-15:0 2-OH). The predominant respiratory quinone was ubiquinone Q-8. DNA-DNA hybridization values of strain S10(T) with Hydrogenophaga caeni KCTC 12613(T), Hydrogenophaga atypica DSM 15342(T) and Hydrogenophaga defluvii DSM 15341(T) were 16.1 +/- 4.8, 49.0 +/- 3.2 and 21.9 +/- 8.8 %, respectively. Based on phylogenetic distinctiveness, DNA-DNA hybridization and specific physiological and biochemical characteristics, strain S10(T) (=KCTC 52520(T)=JCM 31711(T)) is classified as a novel species of the genus Hydrogenophaga, for which the name Hydrogenophaga soli sp. nov. is proposed.</P>

      • A comparative study of activated carbon aerogel and commercial activated carbons as electrode materials for organic electric double-layer capacitors

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>In this study, we thoroughly compared the electrochemical performances of activated carbon aerogel (ACA) and commercial activated carbons (CACs) as electrode materials for organic electric double-layer capacitors (EDLCs) to investigate the feasibility of ACA for commercial applications. The capacitive behavior of carbon materials as EDLC electrodes is strongly influenced by their specific surface areas and electronic resistances, which are determined by several preparation factors, including raw materials and activation methods. Unlike CACs, which have only micropores, ACA has both abundant micropores and mesopores, leading to a high surface area and low density. ACA also shows relatively low electronic resistance because of its three-dimensional structural features. Accordingly, ACA exhibits considerable capacitance at a low charge–discharge rate and excellent performance even at a high charge–discharge rate, indicating that ACA is a promising carbon material for organic EDLC electrodes. Furthermore, this comparison study clearly demonstrates that newly developed carbon materials for commercially advanced EDLC electrodes should exhibit both high specific surface area and low electronic resistance.</P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>[DISPLAY OMISSION]</P>

        The keyword ‘healing’ is essential to the competitive society and culture of Koreans. In addition, as the time at home increases due to COVID-19, the demand for indoor healing services has increased. Therefore, this thesis analyzes the user's facial expression so that people can receive various 'customized' healing services indoors, and based on this, provides lighting, ASMR, video recommendation service, and facial expression recording service.The user's expression was analyzed by applying the ensemble algorithm to the expression prediction results of various CNN models after extracting only the face through object detection from the image taken by the user.

        3D CAD 모델 기반 조립성 및 조립비용 분석설계 지원시스템에 관한 연구

        Mass production was the main stream in manufacture industry for decades, however, small quantity batch production is becoming important as IT technology and data management system developed. In this industrial situation, manufactures are under pressure of shortening new product development time to meet custormer needs. DFMA provides guidance to the designer for simplifying the product structure to reduce manufacturing and assembly costs. Most of existing DFMA tools are implementing checklist method based on surveys on user experiences and assessing design under guidelines. This research suggests design-support system which is associated with 3D CAD systems to analyze assemblability and manufacture cost easily. Design-support system helps designer’s decision making using 3D CAD models and data to show product assembly structure and BOM.

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>In this study, the significant activity and noticeable C<SUB>2</SUB>-selectivity of a La<SUB>2</SUB>Li<SUB>0.5</SUB>Al<SUB>0.5</SUB>O<SUB>4</SUB> catalyst with a K<SUB>2</SUB>NiF<SUB>4</SUB>-type structure in the oxidative coupling of methane (OCM) was reported for the first time. The high C<SUB>2</SUB>-selectivity of the La<SUB>2</SUB>Li<SUB>0.5</SUB>Al<SUB>0.5</SUB>O<SUB>4</SUB> catalyst originated from its abundance of electrophilic lattice oxygen species, which facilitated the selective formation of C<SUB>2</SUB>-hydrocarbons from methane.         취업준비생의 자기개념 명확성과 실패내성의 관계: 불확실성에 대한 인내력 부족과 사회비교 경향성의 매개효과

        본 연구는 취업준비생의 자기개념 명확성과 실패내성의 관계와 그 관계에서 불확실성에 대한 인내력 부족과 사회비교 경향성의 매개효과를 확인하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 만 21∼29세 취업준비생 350명(남 128명, 여 222명)을 대상으로 온라인 설문조사를 실시하였으며, Process macro를 활용하여 모형을 검정하였다. 분석결과, 자기개념 명확성과 실패내성 간의 직접효과가 정적으로 유의하였으며, 불확실성에 대한 인내력 부족과 사회비교 경향성의 단순매개효과도 유의하였다. 또한, 자기개념 명확성이 불확실성에 대한 인내력 부족과 사회비교 경향성을 순차적으로 거쳐 실패내성에 이르는 이중매개효과 역시 유의하였다. 더불어, 성별과 취업준비기간에 따른 차이검정 결과, 여성과 장기취업준비생이 더 취약한 심리적 특성을 나타냈다. 본 연구의 결과는 취업준비생의 실패에 대한 건설적 반응을 발달시키기 위해 필요한 일련의 심리적 특성이 무엇인지 확인하고, 그 발달기제를 확인하였다는데 의의가 있다. 이러한 연구결과는 취업을 준비하는 청년들의 심리적 고통을 감소시키고 실패에 적응적으로 반응할 수 있도록 돕는 지원책 마련 및 취업생태 조정을 위한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between self-concept clarity and failure tolerance and whether intolerance of uncertainty and social comparison orientation mediate the relationship. To this end, an online self-report survey was conducted with 350 unemployed young adults aged 21-29 who have been engaging in an active search for jobs (128 males and 222 females). Descriptive statistics indicated significant differences by both gender and job preparation period. Women and long-term job seekers were more vulnerable to failure and its associated negative psychological characteristics. When process macro (v3.4) was applied for mediation analyses, both single and double mediation models of intolerance of uncertainty and social comparison orientation were confirmed, respectively, thus explaining the relationship between self-concept clarity and failure tolerance. The study suggests that for job seekers to develop tolerance for failure, not only clear belief in themselves but also abilities to endure uncertain situations and to compare less with others are required. These findings will help provide insights on how to intervene in reducing the psychological distress of young people preparing for employment.

        일본 도쿄도 철도고가 하부공간의 활용실태 연구

        The purpose of this study is to analyze utilization characteristics on the under-space of railway viaduct in Japanese, which appeared after. The conclusions of this study are as follows: First, The Japanese cases showed the characteristics of promoting regional revitalization through development that reflected the land use and urban context of the areas in which each was located. Second, in Japan, there are cases of expanding local facilities such as medical facilities, child care centers and shared offices through the development of under-spaces of railway viaduct in connection with community design. Third, Japan s under-spaces of railway viaduct is mainly developed under the leadership of railroad companies, but there is a system to encourage various entities to cooperate in carrying out projects. Through these systems, the public can efficiently carry out projects in cooperation with private operators who have know-how in development projects.

        순차적 적층 해석을 통한 Hastelloy X 소재의 적층 이방성 특성 연구

        In this study, a progressive additive virtual printing technology developed using Simulia/Abaqus was used to conduct a part-scale additive analysis to study the additive anisotropy properties of Hastelloy X materials. First of all, using the PBF method, cantilever specimens for getting the equivalent Eigen strains and tensile specimens for each building direction were fabricated. Then, deformation was measured by cutting the as-built cantilever specimen and a methodology for obtaining the equivalent Eigen strain with the deformation results was presented. Using the obtained equivalent Eigen strain, additive virtual printing analysis was performed in step 1, support cutting analysis was performed in step 2, and tensile analysis was performed in step 3 to compare the results of tensile tests according to each stacking direction. The phenomenon of higher strength in the horizontal direction than in the vertical direction was explained as the compressive residual stress of the in-plane Eigen strain. And the phenomenon in which the strength was reversed compared to the wrought model in the additive analysis in each direction was also explained by the Poisson effect due to the in-plane compressive stress.
