        The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of the aqueous extract of the Astragalus membranaceous(AM). AM showed inhibitory effect on the tyrosinase activity using L-tyrosine as a substrate. Tyrosinase plays an important role in the process of melanin polymer biosynthesis. In vitro AM extract(1mg/ml) inhibited melanin biosynthesis and are useful for the material used in cosmetics. B16 mouse melanoma cells were cultured in different concentrations. The non-cytotoxicity of the plant extracts was confirmed by MTT assay.

        International Formula 3 Korea Super Prix를 위한 금속제 관광기념상품 개발 연구

        It must be very meaningful and significant that The International Formula 3 : Korea Super Prix ' is held in Gye ong sangnam- do as Korea is one of th e largest automobile produ cers in the world. Culture will be mor e and more important as tim e pas ses so th at th e scope s and volumes of tourism souvenirs must be very extensive. This paper reviews the history of The Internation al Formula 3 : Korea Super Pri x 'F3 and th e th eoreti cal s tru cture for tourism souvenirs and their designs. It survey s and an alyses what kinds of tourism souvenirs for ca r racing th e othe r count ries have developed . Making up a questi onnaire, it sugges ts th e directi on s for th eir designs as follow s : 1) A va riety of tangible and int angible mat erials should be used. 2) Souvenir bu sines s should be man ag ed in th e rati onal and scientific way. It follow s th at production and marketing should he separated. Specifica lly cus tomer - oriented disp lay and cus tomer-friendly sa le, an information office or booth, and others will make the mark et contro l their quality. 3) More money should be invested for mark eting the special souvenirs to eve ry touri st to att ract more tourist s. Th e connect ive and related tourism with them should be developed in order to inform effectively of their cultural stories, which induces other kinds of tourism souvenirs developed. 4) Intern et sites for tourism souvenirs should be open in the all homepages of Korean auto maker s as well as F3 car racing connections so that each shop sells them through the on- line and off- line mark ets, manages eve ry cus tomer, and excha nges his mark eting information with each other. Th at causes new tourism souve nirs developed and helps us to have a good public relations with automakers, which make automakers save money. Th e F3 tourism souvenirs and their design s have not yet been studied and developed well enough. Taking considera tion of Fl ca r racing programs in the advanced countries, it is very important to study Korean tr aditional design s because tourism souvenirs originated from the study are not simple ones but convey the cultural images of the regions or countries concerned.

        여성 IT인력의 현황과 잠재력 분석

        우리 사회의 정보화 속도를 고려할 때, 정보통신기술의 확산은 기업조직과 노동시장에 적잖은 영향을 미쳤을 것으로 보이나, 이에 대한 실증연구는 부진한 형편이다. 이에 본고는 가용한 거시 통계자료의 재분석을 통해 IT의 확산이 여성고용량, 여성의 숙련구조 및 임금차별에 긍정적인 효과를 줄 것이라는 가설을 수립하여 검증을 시도하였다. 먼저 IT인력 중 여성의 비율은 약 1/3 정도이고 비 IT인력 중 여성비율은 22.4%로서 IT부문에서 여성비중이 더 높아, 본고의 가설이 입증되는 한편 이 결과는 향후 정보화의 확산이 여성고용을 증가시킬 것으로 기대하게 하는 주요 근거가 될 것으로 보인다. 또한 IT분야 여성인력의 인적자본과 직종분포가 비 IT분야에 비해 우수하였고 임금함수의 추정 결과, 성에 기인한 임금차별이 컴퓨터 전문직과 준전문직에서 존재하지 않거나 상대적으로 덜한 것으로 나타난다. 이로써 IT기술의 여성인력 숙련화 가설이 어느 정도 입증되며 우리나라와 같이 고학력여성에 대한 인력수요가 매우 제한된 경제에서 IT기술의 확산은 이들의 취업을 활성화시키는 계기가 될 것으로 기대된다. 문제는 IT 전문직에 종사하는 여성이 전체 IT인력의 10%에도 미치지 못하는 소수이고 대부분의 여성인력은 IT 제조업에 몰려 있다는 것이다. 또한 IT 벤처기업의 경우에도 ‘알려진’ 개방성과는 달리 대부분의 여성은 일부 제한된 직무에서 그리고 낮은 직급에서 일하는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 결과는 IT 자체는 성중립적일 수 있지만 기술이 적용되는 사회가 성중립적이지 않기 때문이며, 이에 IT분야가 여성에게 새로운 경력기회를 제공할 수 있는 가능성이 충분히 실현되도록 지원하는 방안을 수립할 필요성이 있다. The information technology(IT) industry is growing at a rapid pace. While it already impacts almost all aspects of the workplace and most aspects of our everyday life, the relations between the diffusion of IT and women's employment has rarely been examined empirically. There is only a plethora of expectations either optimistic('IT will bring women favorable conditions') or negative('IT will substitute women's labor and only make women's working status unstable') based on anecdotal cases. Multiple definitions of information technology exist. For example, the Information Technology Association of America(ITAA) defines information technology as the study, design, development, implementation, support or management of computer-based information systems, particularly software applications and computer hardware. In this paper, information technology is defined as computing and telecommunications, including hardware, software, and the integration of the two, with an emphasis on computer-based technologies and industries. Similarly, an IT worker is defined as someone engaged in creating, developing, and managing information technology, distinct from those who simply use information technologies on the job. But an IT worker is defined as someone engaged in IT industry for empirical analysis. This study tests three hypothesis with the macro data from "IT Statistical Yearbook", "Employment Insurance Statistical Data" and "Basic Survey of Wage Structure" of the Ministry of Labor; 1)IT will have a positive impact on women's employment 2)IT will show a skill-biased labor demand for women as well as for men 3)There will be a weak male-female wage discrimination in the IT industry. Most of hypothesis were accepted. Firstly, the female ratio in the IT industry was about one-third, while the ratio was 25.5% in the non-IT industry. Secondly, the educational level was higher in the group of IT women workers where more professional were found compared with non-IT. Lastly, the estimation results of wage function showed less sex discrimination in the group of IT professionals. Thus, the diffusion of IT is expected to benefit college-graduated women workers of which the labor market is presently very tight in terms of providing decent work for women. However, such potentials of IT has not been fully actualized. Women account for less 10% of whole IT professionals at present. One survey showed that even in venture companies women were crowded in the departments of public relations and human resources management, secretary was still women's job and women were at best web designers. IT may be sex-neutral but definitely the Korean society where IT is diffused is not sex-neutral. This legitimizes the introduction of initiatives to support more women entering the realm of IT professionals and to encourage and retain women in IT positions.

        전통금속공예기법의 문화상품화를 위한 디자인 경영 전략

        21세기는 문화로 승부하는 시대이다. 많은 나라들은 지금 문화를 세계화하는 데에 총력을 기울인다. 훌륭한 문화자산을 이룩해 온 우리도 문화를 상품화하고 세계화할 필요가 있다. 공예문화상품은 일상의 중심이 되는 유용한 생산물이라는 점에서 어떤 문화상품보다도 의미가 크다. 전통공예문화상품의 중요성을 알고 상품화 요소와 디자인 요소를 고려하여 금속공예문화상품을 구매력 있고, 용도도 우수하게 만들 것을 제안한다. 디자인 경영이 기업 비전을 창출하는 전략이므로 전통금속공예문화상품의 명품화, 세계화를 위한 방법으로 디자인 경영을 제시하고, 기존의 국내전통금속공예문화상품의 공방현황과 상품분석을 통하여 문제점을 파악하며, 전통금속공예산업을 세계화한 국외기업의 디자인 경영 의 성공적인 사례를 통하여 전통금속공예문화상품의문제 해결방법과 개발 방향을 제시하였다. 제Ⅰ장에서는 연구의 배경을, 제Ⅱ장에서는 공예상품의 개념 및 역할, 특징, 그리고 국내 · 외 공예상품시장 현황과 지원 상황을 살핀다. 제Ⅲ장에서는 전통금속공예기법을 이용한 공예품을 문화상품으로 변화시킬 가능성을 연구하였고, 전통 공예품의 유물들을 제작기법별로 선별하여 현대공예상품으로 활용할 가능성을 모색하였다. 제Ⅳ장에서는 공예문화산업을 성공으로 이끌 디자인 경영전략을 적용하기 위하여 공예와 디자인의 특성을 찾고, 디자인 경영에 대한 기본이론과 효과를 제안하였다. 제Ⅴ장에서는 유기업체, 칠보업체, 누금공방 같은 전통금속공예업체를 선정하거나 입사기법 기능장을 조사하고 디자인 경영의 실천 업체를 연구하였다. 제Ⅵ장에서는 일반인 및 공예업계 관련자를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 인지도, 선호도를 분석한 후, 전통금속공예문화산업이 지향해야 할 방향을 제시해 보았다. 마지막으로, 제Ⅶ장에서는 지금까지 진행해온 연구 결과를 정리하며 전통금속공예산업 육성국이 되고 전통금속공예품을 세계화할 현실적인 대안을 제시한다. 지금까지의 연구와 설문 자료의 분석결과를 종합하면서 전통금속공예문화상품의 개발 방향은 국가의 지속적인 정책과 창의적인 경영 마인드 아래 전문 디자이너를 양성하여 인력을 갖추고 디자인 경영을 시행하는 방향이어야 함을 도출하였다. 전통금속공예문화상품의 가능성은 무한하다. 디자인 경영으로 전통금속공예문화상품을 세계화하여 문화산업을 활성화시키고 공예산업국을 완성하는 것이야말로 21세기를 살아가는 공예가의 책무이다. The cultural times has arrived so that we compete with each other through culture. Many countries devote their whole capability to make their culture globalized these days. We have a variety of wonderful cultural assets so that it is ineviTable to make our culture globalized and commoditized. Understanding the importance for the traditional cultural commodities and taking consideration of design for its commoditization, we have to make our cultural commodities of arts and crafts(especially metallic ones) very useful and purchased well. As design management became a major strategy to create a good vision for the companies, this dissertation paper suggests how to upgrade our traditional metallic cultural commodities of arts and crafts to the luxurious ones and advise to adopt design management to globalize our cultural commodities. It also investigate the present situation about workshops in the traditional metallic cultual industry and analyze each commodity to understand what are the problems to be solved. Benchmarking successful cases for globalization among foreign companies, the paper presents the developmental direction and strategy for the cultural industry(especially for the metallic one). Chapter I explains the background for the dissertation. Chapter Ⅱ.clarifies the definition, role, and characteristics for commodities of arts and crafts, including the present situation and governmental support about their market home and abroad. Chapter III investigates the possibility to transform to the cultural commodities the commodities of arts and crafts made by traditional metallic technique. In addition, it sorts out the traditional commodities of arts and crafts by the manufacturing techniques and finds out how to apply those traditional techniques to make modern cultural commodities. Chapter IV searches some features of ``arts and crafts``, and their designs to apply the design strategy that leads the cultural industry of arts and crafts successful to grow. The chapter suggests the basic theory and effect for the design management. Chapter V makes a field research for the master craftsmen for inlaying or marquetry technique and the companies that adopted strategies of design management. The companies were chosen among companies making traditional metallic commodities of arts and crafts like brassware companies, enamelware companies, gold-marking workshops, and so on. Chapter VI obtains information through questionnaires from individuals and related persons(professionals and manufacturers) with arts and crafts, analyzes perceptiveness and personal preferences. presenting the developmental direction for the traditional metallic industry of arts and crafts. The final chapter VII summarizes all results of the paper and advises for the practical proposals to develop and globalize the traditional metallic industries of arts and crafts. This paper proposes several ideas. First of all government should establish a long-term master plan for the effective design policy, acknowledging the industry of arts and crafts is a basic industry for the national competitiveness. The management keeping in mind about design, companies should establish a comprehensive design policy by introducing the design management positively. The companies also should educate more designers(especially a star designer) persistently and form a design team after preparing a good educational system. It is impossible to measure the possibility of globalization for the traditional metallic cultural commodities of arts and crafts. Professionals of arts and crafts in the 21st century are responsible for globalizing the traditional metallic commodities of arts and crafts by adopting design management, activating the cultural industry. They should elevate our country to the industrial country of arts and crafts.

        성인간호학 실습지원 웹 콘텐츠의 학습효과

        Purpose: This study investigated the effects of Web-Contents Learning by nursing students on nursing knowledge, self-directed learning and clinical competence. Method: This study was a quasi-experimental, nonequivalent control group pre-post test. For the study, 146 nursing students were selected from three colleges. Seventy-six were experimental subjects and 70 were control subjects. The subjects in the experimental group studied Web-Contents along with four weeks of clinical practice. Data were collected by structured questionnaires and analyzed using the SPSS program. Result: The experimental group showed significant increase in their nursing knowledge (t=-3.866, p=.001). However, no significant differences were observed between the two groups in self-directed learning (t=-.759, p=.449) and clinical competence (F=.891, p=.347). Conclusion: From our investigation, the present study suggests some implication for learner-related variables. Elaboration of experimental design to validate the effects of Web-Contents Learning should be carried out.

        재구성된 신체이미지에 나타나는 애브젝트의 표상들

        몸으로부터 정체성을 자각하고 그 가치를 재인식하고자 하는 시도들은 다양한 신체이미지들을 생산하였다. 줄리아 크리스테바의 애브젝션 이론은 변화하는 그로테스크한 몸을 통해 정신과 육체, 이성과 감성, 주체와 객체, 남성과 여성, 미와 추 등의 이분적 사유에 대하여 새로운 인식의 계기를 마련하며, 현대미술 속 다양한 신체이미지에 대한 가장 핵심적인 이론적 배경을 제시한다. 본 논문에서는 줄리아 크리스테바의 애브젝션 이론을 살펴보고 이를 통해 애브젝션 이론이 잘 표현된 키키 스미스와 제인 알렉산더의 작품을 분석한다. 애브젝션은 주체로서의 위치를 확고히 하기 위하여 이질적인 것들을 배제하며 분리하는 행위를 말한다. 그러나 줄리아 크리스테바는 주체란 본질적으로 주어지는 것이 아니라는 것을 규명함으로써, 애브젝션 이론을 통해 절대적인 주체나 경계의 불변적인 확립은 불가능함을 설명한다. 또한 이를 통해 사회 속에 고정되어 있는 가치들에 대하여 재고하고 성, 인종, 문화 등에 대하여 획일화되지 않은 다양성의 관점을 제시한다. 키키 스미스와 제인 알렉산더의 작품들은 이상적이고 완전무결한 육체의 이미지를 해체함으로써 애브젝트의 표상들을 보여준다. 또한 이들의 작품은 모두 사회질서가 강요하는 정형화된 육체의 표상에 대한 전복을 통해 애브젝트된 신체이미지를 표현한다. 이는 절대적이고 고정된 가치를 해체함으로써 새로운 신체이미지를 창조하고 다양한 가치들을 도출한 것이라 볼 수 있다. 그러므로 이들 작품 속 애브젝트의 표상들은 먹고 배설하는 본능적인 몸을 통해 다층적 시각을 제시하며 신체이미지를 재구성하고 몸의 영역과 의미를 확장시킨다. The efforts to realize identity from the body and to recognize the value of it produced various images of the body. Julia Kristeva’s abjection theory presents the most focal theoretical framework regarding the bodily images within contemporary art via displaying a metamorphosing grotesque body and thus providing an occasion to newly recognize the dichotomic thinking of: mind and body; reason and emotion; the subject and the object; men and women; beauty and ugliness; and many others. This paper will examine Julia Kristeva’s abjection theory, and thus, analyse the works of Kiki Smith and Jane Alexander, which well express the theory. Abjection refers to the act of segregating and excluding the disparate with the intention of securing an ascendency as the subject. However, by concluding that the subject cannot be conferred by its very nature, Julia Kristeva illustrates the impossibility of the absolute subject or distinction via the abjection theory. By doing so, Kristeva further reconsiders fixed values in the society and presents a non-standardized viewpoint of diversity on gender, race, culture, and many others. Kiki Smith and Jane Alexander exhibit the representation of the abject through deconstructing ideal and faultless body figures. Also, the both works present abjected bodily images by subverting standardized representation of the body that is coerced by the social order. Such presentation is a production of new images of the body and derviation of a variety of values through the deconstruction of categorical and fixed values. Therefore, the representation of the abject in their works provides a manifold of viewpoints through instinctive body that consumes and excretes, and moreover, recomposes the images of the body and expands the domain and meaning of the body.

        알레시(Alessi)사와 젠슨(Georg Jensen)사의 생활용기디자인 비교 연구

        In this study, I looked at design management and marketing strategies by investigating metal craft works produced by Alessi and JENSEN, the two most prestigious metal product companies in the world. I also studied how these two companies have been trying to become the most prominent companies in the world by closely comparing their products in terms of design concepts, styles, and production process. The aim of this study is to suggest how small studios in Korea can utilize their accumulated skills and techniques to become successful in the global market. First of all, we should creatively learn from Alessi`s design management and marketing strategies. These include how it has made world famous designers consultant designers, how it has made a connection with future generations of designers through an educational-industrial complex, and how it has introduced horizontal interaction & communication system between the CEOs and designers. Alessi has also created star-designers strategically, made every effort to try producing a variety of metal vessel craft works through working together with world famous designers from many different fields, and adapted marketing strategies called limited production of limited products in order to increase the value of their products. My argument is that all these strategies should be thoroughly studied and creatively applied to our metal vessel production companies. Keen and constant support and investment are needed in this field by the government, companies, and educational institutions. In addition, the public`s artistic interest in our traditional art craft will accelerate the development of the metal vessel art craft in Korea. Secondly, even though we have a great deal of resources in light of the art and technique in the field of metal vessel art craft, we do not know how to make best use of this. As Georg Jensen has developed its own unique design image, we should also make an effort to develop our skills and traditional images. This kind of effort can be found in Alessi, which has been successful in design marketing and design management. A good example of it would be what is called Officina Alessi project in that it shows what the combination of aesthetic inspiration and highly developed technology can bring out of the industry. Thus we should try to establish solid theoretical basis in search of our traditional aesthetic inspiration in its real sense, and its application to art craft, which will lead to the unique development of metal vessel art craft in Korea. In short, as has been above indicated, our metal vessel art craft companies, which are yet to be developed, can find their way in the global market successfully if their designers are inspired on the basis of accumulated skills and technology and aesthetic inheritance, if companies make an investment in improving their images, and also if the government with its vision and policy supports the field for a long period of time.
