        Dieulafoy 양 병변에 의한 십이지장게실 출혈 1 예

        Duodenal diverticula are first reported by Chomel in 1710. Duodenal diverticula are relatively common in adults with a prevalence of 23% in SRCP. The most duodenal diverticulum is asymptomatic. Complications such as obstruction, cholangitis, blliary stones, ulceration, perforation and hemorrhage can occur in approximately 10%. However, relatively few cases of bleeding from a duodenal diverticulum have been reported. The cause of bleeding from a duodenal diverticulum is uncertain and various suspected etiologies were suggested, such as ectopic gastric mucosa, stasis-induced ulceration, erosion into major vessels, aortoenteric fistuias, intradiverticujar polyp, aspirin-induced erosion. We report a case of a bleeding duodenal diverticulum by a Dieulafoy-like lesion and suggest this 1esion as one of posslble causes of blee4ng in duodenal diverticulum.

        Bloodstream Infections and Clinical Significance of Healthcare-associated Bacteremia: A Multicenter Surveillance Study in Korean Hospitals

        <P>Recent changes in healthcare systems have changed the epidemiologic paradigms in many infectious fields including bloodstream infection (BSI). We compared clinical characteristics of community-acquired (CA), hospital-acquired (HA), and healthcare-associated (HCA) BSI. We performed a prospective nationwide multicenter surveillance study from 9 university hospitals in Korea. Total 1,605 blood isolates were collected from 2006 to 2007, and 1,144 isolates were considered true pathogens. HA-BSI accounted for 48.8%, CA-BSI for 33.2%, and HCA-BSI for 18.0%. HA-BSI and HCA-BSI were more likely to have severe comorbidities. <I>Escherichia coli</I> was the most common isolate in CA-BSI (47.1%) and HCA-BSI (27.2%). In contrast, <I>Staphylococcus aureus</I> (15.2%), coagulase-negative <I>Staphylococcus</I> (15.1%) were the common isolates in HA-BSI. The rate of appropriate empiric antimicrobial therapy was the highest in CA-BSI (89.0%) followed by HCA-BSI (76.4%), and HA-BSI (75.0%). The 30-day mortality rate was the highest in HA-BSI (23.0%) followed by HCA-BSI (18.4%), and CA-BSI (10.2%). High Pitt score and inappropriate empirical antibiotic therapy were the independent risk factors for mortality by multivariate analysis. In conclusion, the present data suggest that clinical features, outcome, and microbiologic features of causative pathogens vary by origin of BSI. Especially, HCA-BSI shows unique clinical characteristics, which should be considered a distinct category for more appropriate antibiotic treatment.</P>

      • 방울토마토 꼭지제거 요인시험

        방울토마토는 2016년 기준 재배면적은 18,362 ha이며, 생산량은 114,977ton을 보인다. 연평균 도매가격이 17,105원/5kg으로 선호하는 과일 5위에 달한다. 이러한 방울토마토는 꼭지가 부착된 상태여야 신선도가 높은 것으로 인정되어 높은 가격을 받을 수 있다. 하지만 보관 시 꼭지로 인해 저장성이 저하되는 연구가 보고된바 있으며, 취식전에 꼭지를 제거해야 하는 불편함이 있다. 이러한 저장성 저하 문제와 꼭지 제거의 불편함을 해소하기 위하여 방울토마토 자동 꼭지제거기의 개발이 이루어져야 하며, 기계의 성능선정을 위해 꼭지 제거에 소요되는 응력과 방울토마토가 다치지 않고 허용할 수 있는 최대 응력측정이 요구된다. 방울토마토의 꼭지제거 및 허용응력을 측정하기 위하여 장치구성은 인장압축기(LTCM-100, Ametek, USA)와 바이스 및 프로브를 이용하여 실험하였다. 실험은 꼭지를 제거하는 인장시험 및 방울토마토 허용응력측정을 위한 압축시험을 진행하였다. 꼭지를 제거하는 실험은 인장시험을 통해 35 mm/min의 속도에서 실험하였으며, 방울토마토의 꼭지를 고정한 상태에서 방울토마토를 인장하여 이탈되기 전까지의 응력을 측정하였다. 3회 반복실험한 결과 Tension Peak는 평균 3.9 N, Maximum Load는 평균 3.18 N이며, 꼭지가 완전히 떨어져 나간 실험소요시간은 평균 40.8 s, Average Load는 평균 1.27 N이다. 방울토마토 허용응력실험은 압축시험을 통해 35 mm/min의 속도에서 실험하였으며, 방울토마토를 금속원판 위에 올려놓은 상태에서 방울토마토를 압축하여 표피가 터질 때까지의 응력을 측정하였다. 3회 반복실험한 결과 Tension Peak는 평균 18.9 N, Maximum Load는 평균 17.9N이며, 표피가 압축하는 힘을 견디지 못하고 터질 때까지의 실험소요시간은 평균 30.8 s, Average Load는 평균 9.5 N이다. 실험 경과 시간의 경우 방울토마토의 꼭지를 제거할 때의 경과 시간이 10 s 더 길었으며, Tension Peak, Maximum Load, Average Load의 경우 방울토마토의 표피가 다치지 않고 허용하는 응력이 더 크게 나타났다. 본 연구에서는 방울토마토의 꼭지 제거를 위한 응력을 알 수 있었으며, 방울토마토의 허용응력을 초과하지 않은 범위에서 꼭지제거기의 개발이 요구된다.

        대구ㆍ경북지역 섬유제품의 수출입 물류구조 분석

        In the production of textiles, there exist various inter-firm manufacturing processes. By the reason, it is inevitable to restructure logistics process to enhance the competitiveness of the textile industry in Daegu-Kyungbuk area. The Yeong-Nam inland clearance depot(ICD), which will be open in the year of 2010, can be utilized as an alternative to increase the efficiency of logistics process for textile industry. Logistics network can be simplified and reduce inter-firm short hauls by concentrating logistics activities on the Yeoun-Nam ICD. Furthermore, the establishment of distribution warehouse for the textile industry in the Yeong-Nam ICD should be considered to enhance logistics efficiency.

        煎湯方法의 變化에 의한 五積散 물추출액이 Hydrocortisone acetate로 유발한 瘀血病態에 미치는 효과

        This study was performed to compare the effect of Ojeoksan which have extracted by varied extractor(press extractor : PE, pressless extractor : PLE, short acting extractor : SE) on model of blood stasis in rats, Except for the normal group, hydrocortisone acetate(HA;25mg/kg in ethanol. IM) to induce experimental blood stasis model for 1 weeks and each extract of Ojeaksan was administrated after 1hr following HA injection for 1week. We measured the hematocrit, the platelet count, the prothrombin time, levels of fibrinogen in rats' blood, The sample Ⅰ(Ojeoksan extracted by PE) group showed significant decrease of hematocrit. prothrombin time and significant increase of the platelet count, levels of fibrinogen in comparison with those of the control group, The sample Ⅱ(Ojeaksan) extracted by PLE) group showed significant decrease of hematocrit and significant increase of levels of fibrinogen in comparison with those of the control group. Administration of the sample Ⅲ(Ojeaksan extracted by SE) group showed significant decrease of hematocrit and significant increase of the platelet count, levels of fibrinogen in comparison with those of the control group.

        고착협 내탈립 기계수확 적응 장류⋅두부용 콩 품종 ‘새금’

        The soybean cultivar, ‘Saegeum’, has been developed for preparing soy-paste and tofu. The soybean cultivars ‘Daepung’ and ‘SS98207-3SSD-168’ were crossed in 2003 to obtain ‘Saegeum’. Single seed descent method was used to advance the generation from F3 to F5, and the plant lines with promising traits were selected from F6 to F7 by pedigree method. The preliminary yield (PYT) and advanced yield trials (AYT) were conducted from 2009 to 2010, and the regional yield trial (RYT) was conducted in 12 regions between 2011 and 2013. The morphological characteristics of ‘Saegeum’ were as follows: determinate plant type, white flower, tawny pubescence color, and brown pod color. Flowering and maturity dates were August 2, XXXX and October 17, XXXX, respectively. Plant height, first pod height, number of nodes, number of branches, and number of pods were 79 cm, 18 cm, 16, 2.3, and 44, respectively. The seed characteristics of ‘Saegeum’ were as follows: yellow spherical shape, yellow hilum, and the 100-seed weight was 25.4 g. ‘Saegeum’ was resistant to bacterial pustule and SMV in the field test, and its lodging resistance was mildly strong, whereas its shattering resistance was excellent. The ability of this cultivar to be processed into tofu, soybean malt, and other fermented products was comparable with that of ‘Daewonkong’. The yield of ‘Saegeum’ in the adaptable regions was 3.02 ton ha-1. Thus, ‘Saegeum’ is adaptable to mechanized harvesting because of its high first pod height, as well as lodging and shattering resistance. (Registration number: 5929)

        ACCase 저해 제초제 cyhalofop-butyl에 대한 경남지방 수집종 피의 저항성

        Repeated use of ACCase inhibiting herbicides for a long time has resulted in increases of resistant Echinochloa oryzicola populations in paddy fields in middle west area of Korea. This study aims to investigate current status of herbicide resistant E. oryzicola in Gyeongsangnam-do, in which there is less information about herbicide resistance. For resistance frequency and dose-response study, seeds from 100 individual plants of E. oryzicola in Gyeongsangnam-do were collected and tested with cyhalofop-butyl. Seven percent of plants from Gyeongsangnam-do was resistant at a recommended rate of cyhalofop-butyl. $GR_{50}$ values (herbicide rates required to reduce plant growth 50%) for one representative resistant populations and five susceptible populations were $738g\;a.i.\;ha^{-1}$ and 66-234 (average 147)$g\;a.i.\;ha^{-1}$, respectively, indicating average 5 times difference in resistance. Although lower rate of frequency of herbicide resistance in Gyeongsangnam-do than in Jeollabuk-do, increases of herbicide resistance are expected in this area because of increases of direct seeded rice fields and increases of dependence on a specific herbicide. Therefore, it is necessary to monitor herbicide resistance regularly and conduct integrated herbicide resistance management in this area. 경남지역 제초제 저항성 피의 발생현황과 저항성 정도를 알아보기 위하여 벼 재배 논에서 100개체의 피 종자를 수집하여 ACCase 저해제인 cyhalofop-butyl에 대한 약량반응 실험을 수행한 결과, 수집한 피의 7%가 저항성으로 조사되었다. 선발된 감수성 5개체의 $GR_{50}$값은 평균 $147g\;a.i.\;ha^{-1}$로 나타났고, 함양 지역의 저항성 개체의 $GR_{50}$값은 $738g\;a.i.\;ha^{-1}$ 로 R/S (ratio of resistance to sensitivity)값은 5.01배로 나타났다. 현재 경남지역에서의 저항성 피의 발생 수준은 낮은 것으로 나타났지만, 저항성 피의 확산을 지연시키거나 막기 위해서는 주기적인 저항성 피의 모니터링과 체계적인 저항성 잡초 관리방안을 마련하여 수행할 필요가 있다.

        Effects of Forest Tending Works on Carbon Storage in a Pinus densiflora Stand

        We conducted research to determine the effects of forest tending works (FTW) on forest carbon (C) storage in Korean red pine forests by estimating changes in the quantity and distribution of stored organic C in an approximately 40-year-old red pine stand after FTW. We measured organic C storage (above- and belowground biomass C, forest floor C, and soil C at 50 cm depth) in the Hwangmaesan Soopkakkugi model forest in Sancheonggun, Gyeongsangnam-do before and after the forest was thinned from a density of 908 trees/ha to 367 trees/ha. The total C stored in tree biomass was 69.5 Mg C/ha before FTW and 38.6 Mg C/ha after FTW. The change in total C storage in tree biomass primarily resulted from the loss of 19.9 Mg C/ha stored in stem biomass after FTW. The total C pool in this red pine stand was 276 Mg C/ha before FTW and 245.1 Mg C/ha after FTW. Prior to FTW, 71.5% of the total C pool was stored in mineral soil, 25.2% in tree biomass, and 3.3% in the forest floor, where as after FTW 80.5% of the total C pool was stored in mineral soil, 15.7% in tree biomass and 3.7% in the forest floor. These results suggest that the development of site-specific tending techniques may be required to minimize the loss of tree biomass C storage capacity in red pine stands from FTW.

        Effects of Pruning and Fertilization on the Growth of Highbush Blueberry ‘Jersey’

        This study examined the effect of different pruning and fertilization methods on the growth and development of highbush blueberry ‘Jersey’. A higher degree of thinning resulted in the formation of more suckers on the crown of the plants compared to other thinning methods. Combinational use of recommended fertilization and heavy thinning (HT) induced the highest average number of sucker formation. The average lengths of the shoots were 21.4-25.2, 17.4-20.1, and 12.0-15.3 cm for HT-, LT- (light thinning), and HP- (heading-back pruning) treated plants, respectively. HT also induced the highest number of mother shoots that were longer than 20 cm (36.6-41.1%), while LT (27.5-33.8%) and HP (15.8-23.8%) treatments produced fewer mother shoots. Analysis of fruit characteristics revealed that a higher degree of thinning increased fruit weight in 2013 as well as total soluble solid content in 2014. The pruning method had a greater impact on fruit yield than fertilization, as increased thinning led to a higher growth rate (HT 467.4-1036.2%, LT 234.9-314.3%, and HP 171.7-203.9%).
