        공원묘지 유실에 의한 대량재해의 개인식별

        Individual identification of severely decomposed or skeletonized bodies is an important part in medicolegal field. 142 bodies were torn up and carried away by flood in a park cemetry, Kwang-Ju, Kyunggi province, Korea at Sept., 10, 1990. The authors examed the 56 bodies, which were gained, through medical, anthropological, odontological, radiological methods, and superimposition for individual identification. Among them, 41 cases were successfully identified, and remaining 15 cases were not identified because of sever destruction and no adequate information.

        의료관계 해부 감정예의 분석적 연구(I) : 1990년 국립과학수사연구소 감정예

        A study of 118 autopsy cases associated with medical care in 1990 was present according to the medical department, the mode of treatment and the cause of death. The Pediatrics showed the highest rate (25.4%), followed by the Obstetrics & Gynecology (22.9%), and Internal medicine (20.2%). According to the mode of treatment, medical accidents during operation and anesthesia were 29 cases (24.6%) with highest rate in Obstetrics & Gynecology (13 cases), 38 cases (32.2%) were during medication and/or injection with highest rate in Internal Medicine (18 cases), and 51 cases (43.2%) were during general medical practice with highest rate in pediatrics (19 cases). The most prevalent cause of death was the disease of respiratory system (34.9%, 30 cases) and the diseases of cardiovascular and urogenital system accounted for 31.4% and 11.6% respectively. The main cause of death in Internal medicine was the disease of cardiovascular system (11/24 cases), the respiratory system in pediatrics (15/30 cases) and the disease of urogenital system in Obstetrics & Gynecology (9/27 cases. ) Asphyxial deaths were 7 cases and the death due to adverse drug reaction accounted for 10 cases.

        만성활동성간염에 대한 간추출제제의 임상효과

        N/A The purified protein-free liver extracts have been used for past many years in the treatment of both acute and chronic liver diseases. To evaluate the therapeutic effect of liver extract, Adelavin, this clinical study was carried out in 25 HBsAg positive patients with histologically proven chronic active hepatitis. 4ml of Adelavin mixed with 5% dextrose in water 500 ml were infused intravenously daily for 4 weeks. The following results were obtained. 1) The subjective symptoms were improved after 4 weeks-administration by improvement rate 70% in fatigue, 60% in anorexia, 75% in nausea, 45% in indigestion, 67% in abdominal discomfort. 2) There were significant improvements in SGOT, SGPT, alkaline phosphatase, total protein after 2 weeks-administration than preadministration(p<0.01), in albumin after 4 weeks- administration (p<0.001), in prothrombin time after 3 weeks-administration (p<0. 05) 3) In serum protein electrophoresis, there was significant increase of albumin after 4 weeks- administration (p<0.001) and significant decrease of gamma globulin after 4 weeks-admini stration (p<0.001). 4) In radioimmunoassay, there was no change of Hepatitis B marker after 4 weeks-administration. 5) There was not any abnormality in complete blood count and urinalysis after 4weeks- administration, but the transient nausea was found in one patient, the mild acne in two patients, the skin rash with fever in one patient.

        Efficient Control for the Distortion Incurred by Dropping DCT Coefficients in Compressed Domain

        The primary goal of this paper is to facilitate the rate-distortion control in compressed domain, without introducing a full decoding and re-encoding system in pixel domain. For this aim, the error propagation behavior over several frame-sequences due to DCT coefficients-drop is investigated on the basis of statistical and empirical properties. Then, such properties are used to develop a simple estimation model for the CD distortion accounting for the characteristics of the underlying coded-frame. Experimental results show that the proposed model allows us to effectively control rate-distortions into coded-frames over different kinds of video sequences.

        An Adaptive Control for the Propagation Errors Incurred by DCT Coefficient-Dropping Transcoder

        This paper presents a new distortion control scheme with a simple estimation model for the propagation errors incurred by dropping some parts of the bitstream in a frame dropping–coefficient dropping (FD-CD) transcoder. The primary goal of this paper is to facilitate bit-rate conversions and rate-distortion controls in the compressed domain without introducing a full decoding and reencoding system in the pixel domain. First, the error propagation behavior over several frame sequences due to coefficient dropping is investigated on the basis of statistical and empirical properties. Then, such properties are used to develop a simple estimation model for the CD distortion accounting for the characteristics of the underlying coded-frame. Finally, the proposed estimation model allows us to determine the amount of coefficient dropping and to effectively allocate rate-distortions into coded-frames. Experimental results show that the proposed estimation model accurately describes the characteristics of propagation errors adaptively in the compressed domain and can be easily applied to distortion control over different kinds of video sequences.

        분산 비디오 부호화에서 블록별 적응적 탐색에 기초한 반복적인 보조정보 보정기법

        분산 비디오 부호화기법(DVC: Distributed Video Coding)의 성능을 개선하기 위한 한 가지의 방법으로서 보조정보에 대한 반복적인 보정기법에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 기존의 대표적인 반복적인 보정기법으로서 복원 레벨과 보조정보 사이의 관계를 이용한 기법 또는, 움직임 벡터의 필터링에 기초한 보정기법이 제시하고 있으나 성능 개선은 제한적이다. 기존 방식들의 성능 제한을 극복하기 위해, 본 논문에서는, 먼저, 초기의 보조정보 생성 시에 블록별 비용을 측정하여 적응적 움직임 보상을 수행한다. 그리고 수신되는 비트 플레인 정보를 이용하여 블록별 적응적 예측 모드를 사용함으로써 비대칭적인 물체의 움직임 보상에 효과적인 반복적인 보정기법을 제안한다. 모의실험을 통하여 본 논문에서 제안된 보정기법을 사용함으로써 최대 0.2 dB이상의 성능을 개선함을 보인다. Recently, as one of several methods to improve the performance of DVC(Distributed Video Coding) system, many research works are focusing on the iterative refinement of side information. Most of the conventional techniques are mainly based on the relationship between the reconstruction level and side information, or the vector median filtering of motion vectors, but, their performance improvements are restricted. In order to overcome the performance limit of the conventional schemes, in this paper, a side information generation scheme is designed by measuring the block-cost estimation. Then, by adaptively selecting the compensation mode using the received bit-plane information, we propose a block-adaptive iterative refinement which is efficient for non-symmetric moving objects. Computer simulations show that, by using the proposed refinement method, the performance can be improved up to 0.2 dB in rate-distortion.

        기성품 바 어태치먼트 시스템인 SFI bar를 이용한 피개의치 전악수복 증례

        전통적인 바와 클립 유지형 피개의치의 경우, 인상채득 및 기공과정에서 오차가 생길 수 있어 바가 nonpassive fit하게 제작될 수 있다. 최근에 나온 기성품 바 어태치먼트 시스템인 SFI-Bar (Stress Free on Implant Bar) system (Cendres+Metaux, Biel/Bienne, Switzerland)은 튜브바로 연결하여 조립하는 방식이므로 밀링방식이나 캐스팅방식에서 겪을 수 있는 작업상의 많은 어려움과 긴 작업 시간의 단점을 보완 할 수 있고, 임플란트 주위골에 가해지는 스트레스도 줄여줄 수 있다. 본 증례에서는 골흡수가 심한 상악 무치악 환자에게 최근에 나온 stress free implant bar인 SFI-Bar system을 사용한 피개 의치로 수복하였다. SFI Bar를 이용한 피개의치 제작시 수동적 적합을 얻을 수 있어 임플란트에 스트레스를 덜 가하는 장점을 얻을 수 있을 것으로 생각한다. 추후 정기적인 검사를 통해 장기적인 결과에 대한 평가가 필요하리라 사료된다. In conventional bar- and clip-retained overdentures, all errors during impression making and cast fabrication result in non-passive fit of bars. SFI bar is prefabricated and assembled in the patient's mouth without the use of soldering, laser welding or conventional bonding techniques, thus reducing stress transmission to, bone loss around the implants and leading to fewer errors and lower costs. A clinical case will be presented below to demonstrate the use of the SFI Bar (Stress Free on Implant Bar) to restore an severe atrophy edentulous maxilla. In this case, no lateral stress could be applied to the implants due to the telescopic design of the bar joints. However, periodic recall check is necessary and long-term clinical results are required.
