Understanding salt tolerance mechanisms is important for the increase of crop yields, and so, several screening approaches were developed to identify plant genes which are involved in salt tolerance of plants. Here, we transformed the Arabidopsis cDNA library into a salt-sensitive calcineurin (CaN)-deficient (cnbD) yeast mutant and isolated the colonies which can suppress salt-sensitive phenotype of cnbD mutant. Through this functional complementation screen, a total of 34 colonies functionally suppressed the salt-sensitive phenotype of cnbD yeast cells, and sequencing analysis revealed that these are 9 genes, including CaS, AtSUMO1 and AtHB-12. Among these genes, the ectopic expression of CaS gene increased salt tolerance in yeast, and CaS transcript was up-regulated under high salinity conditions. CaS-antisense transgenic plants showed reduced root elongation under 100 mM NaCl treatment compared to the wild type plant, which survived under 150 mM NaCl treatment, whereas CaS-antisense transgenic plant leaves turned yellow under 150 mM NaCl treatment. These results indicate that the expression of CaS gene is important for stress tolerance in yeast and plants.

Glycolysis is responsible for the conversion of glucose into pyruvate and for supplying reducing power and several metabolites. Fructose-1,6-bisphosphate aldolase (AtFBA1), a central enzyme in the glycolysis pathway, was isolated by functional complementation of the salt-sensitive phenotype of a calcineurin (CaN)-deficient yeast mutant. Under high salinity conditions, aldolase activity and the concentration of NADH were compromised. However, expression of AtFBA1 maintained aldolase activity and the NADH level in yeast cells. AtFBA1 shares a high degree of sequence identity with known class I type aldolases, and its expression was negatively regulated by stress conditions including NaCl. The fusion protein GFP-AtFBA1 was localized in the cytosol of Arabidopsis protoplasts. The seed germination and root elongation of AtFBA1 knock-out plants exhibited sensitivity to ABA and salt stress. These results indicate that AtFBA1 expression and aldolase activity is important for stress tolerance in yeast and plants.
A Ten-Year Analytical Comparative Study on the International Journal of Consumer Studies

Purpose - This study analyzes topics discussed in the International Journal of Consumer Studies through a content analysis, to reveal the impact of cross-cultural management in consumer research. Research Design, Data, and Methodology - The International Journal of Consumer Studies has the highest impact factor among international consumer journals, and was chosen for research. This study investigated 712 articles, covering a ten-year period. Results - A total of 82 articles were found to be related to cross-cultural management, out of 712 articles. This shows a need for improvement in the area of cross-cultural management, and implies that the discipline of cross-cultural management will continue to have a significant impact on consumer studies. Conclusions - While content analyses have been conducted in the area of consumer research in the past, a comparative content analysis in the International Journal of Consumer Studies is unprecedented. This study offers insights on the comparative analysis of general articles and articles related to cross-cultural management, which will be useful reference points for future global markets and fields in distribution and consumer research.
Screening of rice drought tolerant germplasms and drought tolerant QTL mapping

In here, we screened drought tolerant varieties with modified leaf water loss rate assay and visual drought tolerant phenotype in the greenhouse conditions with more than 800 varieties. Among these varieties, Samgang, Gumei4 and Apo showed the lowest of leaf water loss rate and strong drought tolerant phenotype. To identify drought QTLs with Samgang variety, we developed the doubled-haploid (DH) population consist of 101 lines derived from a cross the drought tolerant cultivar Samgang and the drought sensitive cultivar Nagdong. To score the drought phenotype degrees of this population, we withheld water for 6 weeks and treated the watering for 7 days. After watering, visual phenotype was observed 1 to 9 degree according to the standard evaluation system for rice, IRRI. Drought sensitive parent Nagdong was almost died and was scored as 9 degree, while tolerant parent Samgang showed slightly leaf tip drying phenotype and was scored as 3 degree in our experimental conditions. Three main QTLs were detected on chromosome 2, 6, and 11 with this visual phenotype. We also measured relative water contend of these population under drought stress conditions, and got one main QTL on chromosome 11. The QTL loci on chromosome 11 with flanking markers RM26755-RM287 has a function for visual phenotype and relative water content under drought conditions.
웹 서비스에 환경에서 빅데이터 기반 이상행위 탐지 기술

본 논문은 웹 서비스의 로그와 게시판 데이터베이스 정보를 수집하고 이상행위에 대한 분석을 위한 빅데이터 기반의 웹 서비스 로그와 게시판 분석 연구에 관해 소개한다. 기존의 웹 서비스의 필터링 방식은 관리자가 직접 수 많은 데이터들을 모니터링 후 특정 키워드를 등록하고, 악성 사용자를 직접 등록해서 필터링하는 방식으로 진행되었다. 하지만 이 방식은 사람이 직접 키워드 업데이트를 해주어야 하고, 스팸 키워드에 일치해야만 필터링이 되어 조금만 다른 키워드로 글을 등록하면 필터링이 되지 않았다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 기존 관리자가 게시판을 직접 모니터링하면서 필터링 작업을 하는 방식보단 빅데이터를 활용한다면 다량의 데이터를 실시간으로 처리해 속도를 향상 시킬 수 있으며 분석에 대해 정확도가 높은 장점이 있다. 빅데이터는 오늘날 다양한 분야에 활용되는 데이터수집 및 분석기술의 경향으로, 정형 데이터와 비정형 데이터 분석을 요구하는 다양한 분야에 접목되어 효용성을 인정받고 있다. 웹 서비스의 로그와 게시판 역시 정형과 비정형 데이터 형식으로 로그 데이터는 Flume을 통해 실시간 저장되며 Sqoop은 필요한만큼 대량의 데이터 하둡에 저장한다. 저장된 데이터들은 빅데이터의 처리 도구인 Hive와 Pig를 통하여 최종적으로 R프로그래밍을 통해 분석이 완료된다. 이처럼 빅데이터와 접목 시 좀 더 원활하고 정확한 필터링이 가능하며 이상행위를 탐지하여 빅데이터 기반으로 웹 서비스 환경을 분석한다. This paper collect Web Services log, board database information and introduces a Big Data-based web service log, board and analysis for analysis of abnormal behaviors. The methods of filtering existing web services were conducted by the administrator to register a large number of data, register specific keywords, register, filter malicious users manually. However, this method has to be filtered directly by the person in question, and it is not filtered by filtering that it is filtered only by the word spam and is filtered to a slightly different keyword. Thus, in this thesis, if the existing administrator uses big data instead of monitoring the bulletin boards, it can be processed in real time by utilizing large amounts of data in real time to speed up and improve the accuracy of the analysis. Big data is widely used in diverse fields of data gathering and analytics today, garnering benefits in diverse fields requiring structured data and unstructured data analysis. Log and bulletin boards of web services are also stored in structured and unstructured formats in structured and unstructured formats, and Sqoop is stored in large amounts of data Hadoop as needed. Stored data is finally analyzed through R programming through Hive and Pig, the processing tool of Big Data. Big data, more accurate filtering, and more accurate filtering of big data, which detects the behavior of a web service and analyzes the web service environment based on big data.
입력 영상과 후처리를 이용한 변이 지도 영상의 개선 및 객체 분할

Robots have been used to perform in many ways for a long time. To be used to perform like these various tasks, they are supposed to be equipped with stereo vision system which is able to segment objects and to calculate distance information. These tasks could be performed by calculating the distance and object segmentation through the stereo vision system. But, there are lots of noises and errors in real life of disparity map image which is captured by using a stereo camera so we can’t trust the result obtained from this disparity map image. In this paper, we present a method which is able to improve the stereo image by comparing with input image. Then we propose a method which segments the object by using the improved disparity map images.
