Silicon-to-silicon anodic bonding was accomplished using lithium doped interlayer. Lithium doped interlayers were deposited on silicon substrates by electron beam evaporation, which has a fast deposition rate compared with sputtering method. Silicon-to-silicon bonding occurs in the range of temperatures from 250℃ to 300℃ with the applied voltages from 70V_(DC) to 100V_(DC). The bonding strength obtained from tensile test was about 5MPa under the condition of 80V_(DC) in 300℃. The surface morphology of lithium doped interlayer was studied with the atomic force microscopy (AFM). Finally, secondary ion mass spectroscopy (SIMS) analysis was carried out in order to investigate the role of the lithium ions in bonding mechanism.
Irregular-Grid-Overlapped Block Motion Compensation and its Practical Application

In this letter, we present a hybrid motion compensation scheme integrating overlapped block motion compensation (OBMC) and control grid interpolation (CGI), called irregular grid-based OBMC (IG-OBMC). The objective of this letter is to develop both subjectively and objectively improved motion compensation scheme by combining distinct advantages of OBMC and CGI without additional motion vectors or a complicated motion estimation processing. To evaluate the performance, IG-OBMC is applied to error concealment. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed hybrid motion compensation method achieves a better performance than the conventional motion compensation methods.

In this work, we develop a new motion-compe (MC) interpolation algorithm to enhance the temporal resolution of video sequences. First, we propose the bilateral motion estimation scheme to obtain the motion field of an interpolated frame without yielding the hole and overlapping problems. Then, we partition a frame into several object regions by clustering motion vectors. We apply the variable-size block MC (VS-BMC) algorithm to object boundaries in order to reconstruct edge information with a higher quality. Finally, we use the adaptive overlapped block MC (OBMC), which adjusts the coefficients of overlapped windows based on the reliabilities of neighboring motion vectors. The adaptive OBMC (AOBMC) can overcome the limitations of the conventional OBMC, such as over-smoothing and poor de-blocking. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm provides a better image quality than conventional methods both objectively and subjectively

N/A The CT appearance of dilated hepatic lymphatics in liver transplant recipient.s has been de- scribed recently. We observed similar findings of presumed hepatic periportal lymphedema after curative resection with R,+a node dissection including the lymph node in the hepatoduodenal ligament in advanced gastric cancer. We could find the hepatic periportal lymphedema in 85% of 20 patients on abdominal CT scan taken 7 days after operation and 65 % of 20 patients on abdonminal CT scan taken 6 months after operation. But in the early gas- tric cancer operated by curative resection with R dissection without dissection of lymph node in the hepatoduodenal ligament and ulcer disease without lymph node dissection were not re- vealed hepatic periportal lymphedema. In conclusion, hepatic periportal lyrnphedema on abdominal CT scan after dissection of lymp node in the hepatoduodenal ligament is very useful as a evidence of completeness of dissection of lymph node in the hepatoduodenal ligament and we can predict the metastasis of the lymph node in the hepatoduodenal ligament when hepatic periportal lymphedema appears on abdomi- nal CT scan after R, dissection in the cases of early gastric cancer.(Korean J Gastroenterol 1994; 26: 410 416)
