To guarantee QoS (Quality of Service), routers should determine routing paths satisfying service requirements, based on link state information as well as network topology. Link status database (LSD) in routers should be efficiently managed to effectively reflect the current state of all links. However, there is a trade off between the exact reflection of the current link status and its update cost. For exactly reflecting the current link status, each router immediately notifies its neighbors that link state information is changed. This may degrade performance of the router due to the processing of link state update messages. On the other side, if the current link state information is not updated appropriately, a route setup request can be rejected because of the discrepancy between the current link state information and previously updated link state information in LSD. In this paper, we propose a traffic variation based link state update algorithm for adaptively controlling the generation of link state update messages and compare its performance with those of four existing algorithms by intensive simulations.

The assembly misalignment of a high maneuver precision guidance missile such as anti-air interceptor could have poor influence on the performance of the system and lead to fatal mission failure. Thus, several methods to minimize the assembly misalignment of missiles have been suggested, including assembly guiding tools and measuring devices. However, previously suggested solutions have disadvantages in versatility and cost. In this study, the low cost and universally applicable solution based on inclinometers for measuring assembly misalignment of a missile is introduced. The comparison between measurement data of the suggested system and a three-dimensional laser tracker for a missile assembly misalignment was conducted. The results show the suggested system can quantify a missile assembly misalignment with comparable precision and accuracy.

RFID applications use tags to identify objects, but recent applications tend to include diverse sensor devices such as light, temperature, and humidity sensors as well. RFID tag information is usually processed via the event driven model. However sensor devices are usually accessed via the functional call model. Therefore application developers have to deal with mixed data access models and device dependent interface functions. In this paper, we propose a sensor reader emulator that provides a consistent access interface to sensor devices regardless of the types of devices. SRE provides a more efficient way of developing RFID applications by providing a single application programmer’s view to RFID tags and sensor devices. In applications where tags are fixed to a place, SRE can replace expensive sensor tags and sensor readers with inexpensive sensor devices reducing the total cost while providing the same functionality.
Flight Environment Simulation Test for Reliability Improvement of Precise Guided Missile
최승혁(Seung Hyuk Choi) Korean Society for Precision Engineering 2016 한국정밀공학회지 Vol.33 No.10
We introduce FEST (Flight Environment Simulation Test) procedures for precise guided missiles to reliably improve systems. Flight vibration specification was established based on power spectral density curves calculated from flight test data of a high speed precise guided missile. A FEST pre-profile was developed according to flight vibration specification and delivered to a precise guided missile assembly. Vibration responses were measured by installing accelerometers on electronic components vulnerable to dynamic forces. The FEST profile was adjusted by comparing the vibration responses and the flight vibration specification. Subsequently, the FEST profile was repeatedly modified through trial and error, because the responses were similar to the flight environment. The modified FEST profile enabled performance testing of assembled precise guided missiles under simulated flight conditions on the ground, where unexpected errors could be corrected before the flight tests, leading to cost and risk reduction in the development of the precise guided missile system.
