Capacitive alcohol gas sensors using porous silicon(PS) layer were fabricated and investigated for the measurement of breath alcohol concentration. Since PS layer shows high adsorption against ethanol along with large internal surface area. detecting low alcohol gas concentration without any heating may be realized in comparison with metal oxide sensors. In this work, we measured the capacitance for the range of 0 t o 0.5% alcohol concentration from the proposed sensors. and observed how illumination of UV light affects the sensitivity. In addition, the effect of CO₂and N₂gases involved commonly in exhaling breath was estimated, and the same experiment for methanol gas was executed to compare qualitatively with ethanol gas

Objectives This study aimed to develop a Korean medicine (KM) clinical practice guideline for myofascial pain syndrome (MPS) via the collaboration of clinical and methodological experts. Methods The study will include an initial survey to establish a common understanding of MPS. To develop the clinical guideline, a multidisciplinary development group was formed. The group will finalize the clinical questions based on a preliminary draft. The GRADE methodology is going to be applied to determine the level of evidence and grading of the recommendations. Finally, approval from the relevant medical societies will be obtained. Results A protocol for developing a KM clinical guideline for MPS was presented. Before finalizing the clinical key questions, a literature search was conducted according to the protocol, and a draft of 19 clinical key questions was established. Conclusions An evidence-based KM clinical guideline for MPS is expected to contribute to the management of MPS. This may also serve as a reference for the development of other KM clinical practice guidelines in the future. (J Korean Med Rehabil 2023; 33(4):203-213)
혼합 네트워크 상의 Chinese Postman Problem을 위한 유전자 알고리즘

The Chinese Postman Problem(CPP) is to find a shortest tour traversing all the edges or arcs at least once in a given network. The Chinese Postman Problem on Mixed network(MCPP) has been shown to be NP_complete. For this reason, heuristic methods have been proposed to obtain near optimal solutions of the MCPP with low cost of computing. In this paper, we propose a genetic algorithm that solves the MCPP. Through the computational experiments, it is found that the proposed method is better than the existing heuristic methods.
Flaccid Leg Paralysis Caused by a Thoracic Epidural Catheterization: A Case Report

We report a case of a 44-year-old patient with paralysis of the left leg who had a thoracic epidural catheterization after general anesthesia for abdominal surgery. Sensory losses below T10 and motor weakness of the left leg occurred after the surgery. Magnetic resonance image study demonstrated a well-defined intramedullary linear high signal intensity lesion on T2-weighted image and low-signal intensity on T1-weighted image in the spinal cord between T9 and L1 vertebral level, and enhancements of the spinal cord below T8 vertebra and in the cauda equina. Electrodiagnostic examination revealed lumbosacral polyradiculopathy affecting nerve roots below L4 level on left side. We suggest that the intrinsic spinal cord lesion and nerve root lesion can be caused by an epidural catheterization with subsequent local anesthetic injection.
가상현실 거울치료가 뇌졸중 환자의 운동관련 뇌 전위 및 상지기능에 미치는 영향

The purpose of this study lies in finding out of the effects of virtual reality mirror therapy (VRMT) on excitability of the cerebral cortex and upper extremity function in stroke patients. The subjects were diagnosed as stroke according to criteria to select the research targets. The experimental group (n=12) was applied on general physical therapy included VRMT for 5 times per week in 6 weeks. Bereitschafts potential (BP) and motor potential (MP) of movement-related cortical potential (MRCPs) was applied for evaluation of excitability of the cerebral cortex, the upper extremity function of experimental group was assessed using Fugl-Meyer assessment (FMA), box and block test (BBT). Results were measured at periods of pre-intervention, post-intervention. The BP mean amplitude showed statistically significant decrease. The MP peak amplitude showed statistically significant increase except for C4. FMA, BBT score showed statistically significant increase. These results were show that VRMT increase excitability of the cerebral cortex and upper extremity function. Accordingly, VRMT would usefully be applicable treatment to improve upper extremity functional recovery in the stroke patients.

The previous steganographic methods by using the interpolation were difficult to estimate the distortion because the size of cover image is extended by interpolation algorithms. In this paper, to solve the problems of previous methods proposed the improved steganographic method based on the pixel replacement algorithms. In our method, we cannot extend a cover image, but also can estimate exactly the distortion of the stego-images. In the experimental results, the estimated distortion and embedding capacity of stego-image are shown on three pixel replacement methods.
