The main purpose of this academic paper is to find out the ultimate goal of North Korean nuclear weapon development and to understand the response of the 1st and 2nd terms of Obama administration through international politics theoretical analysis. At the end of the research, I could conclude that North Korea authority adopted the strategy of dialogue and shield based on the political power balance and the Obama administration used the smart power strategy based on the hegemonic power. Even though both North Korea and the United States could not accomplish all goals, they have obtained partial aims they have set publicly. In conclusion, in order to make the Korean peninsula denuclearized area, the United States and its allies including South Korea need to make more peaceful environment to have North Korea sincerely give up its nuclear weapons and nuclear programs.

Besides the material and mental compensation and respect for the participants of Korean War as well as their left families, the government should make strenuous efforts to teach young students the honorable sacrifice of the former soldiers in order to celebrate and remember their priceless devotion and service during the Korean war which broke out in 1950 and ceased the fire in 1953. According to the analysis and research of the history school books of middle school and high school, most history textbooks do not explain or describe the recommendable sacrifice of the soldiers and remarkable results, feats caused and procured while operating the war. The most important step the government and the educational institutes need to take is that local and central authorities, government and national assembly should increase the compensation for the old veterans and their families. In addition, young students need to be socialized and educated for sacrifice for the mother state.

김정은 집권 10년 간 유엔에서의 남북한 상호작용 연구: 박근혜 정부와 문재인 정부의 비교를 중심으로

The main purpose of this paper is to explain the interaction between South Korea and North Korea in the U.N. The reason why this topic has been chosen is that this year, 2021, is the 30^th anniversary the two Koreas were approved as the members of the international organization, U.N. and the 10^th year North Koren top leader Kim Jung-eun was inaugurated as supreme commander. The three integral goals of the U.N are to maintain peace and security, to improve human rights situation and to develop social and economic conditons of the global society. Namely, Peace, Human Rights and Development. As I analyze the U.N and two Koreas public documents especially in the three integral goals of th U.N, I could reach this conclusion. In the Peace and Security part, the two Koreas are in the High Level Conflict Area, in the Human Rights part, the two Koreas are in the Low Level Conflict Area and the Development Part, the two Koreas are in the Bilateral and Multilatera Cooperation Area. In order to reduce the Conflict and to strengthen the Cooperation, South Korean government has to make diplomatic efforts to declare ‘The End of the War’ between two Koreas and U.S or two Koreas, U.N and China. In addition, South Korean government and Churches in South Korea continuously support the North Korean people to improve the environment of their daily lives.

북한 당대회에 나타난 대외 안보정책의 특징과 배경: 로즈노의 체계변수를 중심으로

The main purpose of this research is to review the characteristics and the changes of the external defence policy which is the one part of the foreign policy of the North Korea which were presented during the seven conventions of the key ruling party, Korea Worker’s Party. As the result of this study, I could notice that the conventions might be categorized four parts on the base of the international circumstance and global environment surrounding Korea Peninsula and North Korea. The first period was the period of ‘the external defence policy of the dependence on the Soviet Union’, the second period was the period of ‘the dependence on both the Soviet Union and China’, the thied period was the period of ‘the independent Alliance’ and the last period was the period of ‘the independent defence’ based on nuclear weapon. The South Korean government and the U.S. Trump administration set a red line which is that North Korea builds intercontinental ballistic missiles tipped with the nuclear warheads. North Korea regime is nearing and approaching the threshold. Through the review of the systemic variable which has affected the decision making of the reclusive North Korea regime, I could obtain one lesson which is that when we create the stable and peaceful strategic environment in the Korea peninsula as well as North East Asia, North Korean regime could have the room to consider more resilient, sustainable and less aggressive, hostile defence policies.

북한 핵전략의 변화 분석과 문재인 정부에 주는 시사점: 로동신문 분석을 중심으로

The main purpose of this research is to review and analyze the characteristics of the nuclear strategy and nuclear talks of North Korea during the military first policy period. On the base of the result of this study, I intend to make an advice to the current Moon’s administration which is establishing the responding strategy in order to resolve and address the North Korean nuclear issue. The goal of the nuclear strategy of North Korean regime was to lay a firm ground to achieve security, territorial integrity, strong forces and national reunification during the military first policy period. In order to accomplish the aim, North Korea made strenuous efforts to include the normalization of the relationship between North Korea and the U.S. and non-attack in the agreement of all the conferences. During the ‘Period of Pressure of the Dialogue’, North Korea chose to expand, modernize, strengthen and improvement of the nuclear weapons to compel the U. S. to participate in the bilateral talks with North Korea in which the two priciples will be abided by, Peace treaty discussion first principle and action to action policy. Based on the result of this research, I would like to insist that Moon’s government need to intensify the military ally with the U.S. and at the same time to recovery the relationship with North Korea. The first step is to rebuild the dialogue channel to share the opinion and perspective with North Korea.

남북 평화관광자원 개발전략 : 남북한 접경보호지역(TBPA) 관광자원 개발전략을 중심으로

The purpose of this article is to suggest the strategy to develop the 'West Sea Coastal Peace Park' in the West Sea area, the 'Peace Ecological Tourist Zone' in the DMZ(Demilitarized Zone) and its adjacent area, the 'International Peace Tourist Zone' in the Mt.Soelak-Mt.Keumkang-Yeonsan city area which will contribute not only to improve peaceful environment on the Korean Peninsular but also to generate the enormous economic profits for two Koreas. Through the example of the 'Red Sea Coastal Peace Park', we can recognize that the Peace Park has brought the regional peace and economic prosperity of the participant countries, Israel and Jordan. The two nations have been hostile since Israel acquired the nationhood in the middle east area. DMZ has been the buffer zone which prevents two Koreas to spark any accidental military conflict which could escalate to the all-out war since the armistice had been agreed among North Korea, China and U.N. Therefore, the zone has been controlled by the signatories. If the zone is transformed into 'Peace Ecological Tourist Zone', the possibility of the armed conflict might be significantly reduced. As Mt.Soelak-Mt.Keumkang-Yeonsan city area are already well known as the beautiful and invaluable destination which are full of the natural and cultural resources, the development of the area as the 'International Peace Tourist Zone' might generate marvellous advantages and benefits to both Koreas.

미국의 북한인권문제에 대한 관여와 북한의 대응 오바마 1기 행정부 기간을 중심으로

The devastating North Korean human rights situation has become one of the most serious international problems beyond one country. To improve the North Korean human rights situation, during Georgy W Bush administration, U.S. created the engagement mechanism which was composed of two strategies, the announcement strategy and the intervention strategy. This engagement mechanism has lasted since Obama government started its term. To cope with the American aggressive intervention mechanism, the North Korean government has taken measures which are able to be summarized as the comprehensive response strategy. This strategy includes strong internal control and backfire to prevent its citizens form being affected from American propaganda. In addition, North Korean government has practiced more positive diplomatic activities than before to persuade other countries not to follow American intention.

북한 핵 문제에 대한 미국의 개입전략과 북한의 대응전략: 6자회담 기간을 중심으로

The main purpose of this paper is to analyze the strategies of the United State and North Korea surrounding North Korea nuclear issue. For academical explanation, I drew some international relation theories, Hegemony theory, Deterrence theory and Power balance theory. As the result of the theoretical analysis, I found out that Bush administration utilized the Deterrence strategy based on hegemony power, while Kim Jung-il regime used the Power Balance strategy based on self-help diplomacy.

유엔 인권메커니즘의 관여전략과 북한 김정은 정권의 대응전략 -로동신문과 유엔문서 분석을 중심으로

North Korea is a country where the government has managed political prisoner``s camps. The United Nations(UN) and the international community has been deeply concerned about the systematic, widespread and gross human rights violations perpetrated by the regime in Pyongyang. The UN Human rights mechanism has employed a “multitrack strategy based on the idea of universal human rights” in order to protect and promote the basic human rights and freedom of North Korean citizens. The Kim Jong-un regime has selected a “flexible response strategy based on the human rights perspective of strong relativism” in order to preserve their socialist system, improve the quality of living of its people and to break from isolation. The regime has shown a measure of compromise in coping with the general intervention of UN Human rights mechanism. North Korea resisted specific intervention while exhibiting cooperating in order to gain humanitarian aid and development support. The bottom line is that the UN Human rights mechanism needs to offer much more humanitarian support in order to improve the living standards of North Koreans. In addition, all neighboring countries of North Korea must try to build peaceful and secure geopolitical environment in which the Kim Jong-un regime can take some steps towards reforming its system.

유엔 안보리 대북제재와 김정은 정권의 대응전략 - 유엔문서와 로동신문 분석을 중심으로

The main purpose of this article is to analyze the reason why U.N. Security Council's Sanctions against North Korea was not able to stop North Korea from constructing Nuclear Program despite the long period, 12years, sanctions. For ten years, U.N. Security Council used the targeted sanctions against North Korea. Those had not been so harsh that the sanctions could not force North Korea to give up its programs. While comprehensive sanctions which U.N. Security Council have adopted have started to have effects from 2017, North Korea regime declare its accomplishment of nuclear programs which consisted of nuclear weapon's program and long range ballistic missile launch programs. Kim Jung-un regime has regarded Security Council's Sanctions as the substantial external threats and challenges which intend to collapse the dictatorial regime. Therefore, the regime has developed the strategic response which has composed of super-powerful response strategy and bubble burst strategy.
