A PSPICE Circuit Modeling of Strained AlGaInN LaserDiode Based on the Multilevel Rate Equations

PSPICE circuit parameters of the blue laser diodes grown on wurtzite AlGaInN multiple quantum well structures were extracted directly from the three level rate equations. The relevant optical gain parameters were separately calculated from the self-consistent multiband Hamiltonian. The resulting equivalent circuit model for a blue laser diode was schematically presented, and its modulation characteristics, including the pulse response and the frequency response, have been demonstrated by using a conventional PSPICE.

A representative method of diagnosing swallowing disorders is video fluoroscopic swallowing (VFSS), which evaluates the process of food moving from the mouth to the esophagus through video data captured by X-rays. In a clinical setting, a VFSS test usually takes about 30 minutes, but there is a significant waiting time to obtain results. In this study, we developed an AI model for diagnosing swallowing disorders and implemented it as a web service. For this purpose, it was necessary to collect VFSS video data and create learning data. To this end, we developed a system that supports data storage management and classification necessary for generating learning data, and generating learning data. Based on this, the swallowing disorder AI model was developed by adopting the YOLOv7 model, which has the best performance in real-time object detection. In particular, VFSS data obtained at clinical sites were applied to operate a web-based service that allows quick confirmation of results in real time. It is expected that the developed model can be effectively used in diagnosing swallowing disorders.

Background and Objectives Aging causes atrophy in mucosa of vocal folds, resulting in various deleterious changes in phonation. Eventually, these changes impair an elderly individual’s ability to communicate with others and affect their quality of life. This investigation was carried out to determine the morphological characteristics of vocal folds in two different aged groups of rats, and to perform a validation of a rat model of age-related changes in larynx. Subjects and Method Larynges were obtained from 12 rats, of which 6 rats were 6 months old and the others 18 months old. The middle portion of each vocal folds were stained with haematoxylin and eosin (H&E), Masson’s trichrome (MT), Alcian blue (AB) and compared. Results Extracellular matrix in lamina propria of vocal folds presented lower density in 18 months-old rats than in 6 months-old rats (p<0.05). Also more severe fibrosis was observed in 18 months-old rats than in 6 months-old rats (p<0.05). Six months-old rats showed higer concentration of hyaluronic acid than did 18 months-old rats (p<0.05). Conclusion Aged vocal folds showed increased fibrosis and decreased density of collagen and hyaluronic acids in the lamina propria compared to young vocal fold.

In the drug delivery system industry, the technology with even split injection becomes important for maximizing efficiency and minimizing the side effects. In conventional drug delivery system, infection can occur due to pain and splashing. Also, various applications are impossible due to disposable use, and it is the reason to avoid to use this system because of the complexity of the driving method. Therefore, in this study, a painless drug delivery device is developed for non-pain with electrical insulation breakdown method. Finite elements analysis was used to evaluate the ejection characteristics of drugs according to the shape of the micro ejection nozzle. The effect of the number of holes in the micro nozzle, the length of the nozzle and the inner shape of the nozzle on the drug discharge characteristics were analyzed.
