한국어의 타동성 발현 양상 분석

This study aims to examine the expression of transitivity, and analyzes the recognition system of Korean speakers and foreign Korean learners. This study is a follow-up to Lee(2016), that analyzed how foreign Korean learners perceive transitivity, and expanded the scope of the research to Korean speakers. This survey tried to identify the concept of transitivity through the use of ‘-eul/leul’. A picture showing the relationship between the agent and the object and verbs that could use both ‘-eul’ and ‘-leul’ were presented so that the survey participants could accurately grasp the situation of the discourse. Through this study, the following points were able to be inferred regarding transitivity. First of all, the presence of agents was affecting the expression of transitivity. The choice of ‘-eul/leul’ varies depending on the presence of the agent. It also showed that the transitivity was affected by the meaning of [status] when delivering information about the object. Finally, through the expression of transitivity, we found the possibility of predicting the ability of Korean language learners. Although the predictive value was not high, it could be a good evaluation tool if big data is built well in the future and machine learning is applied. 본 연구는 타동성의 의미를 정립하고 그 발현 양상을 살피는 것을 목적으로 삼으며 이를 위해 한국어 화자와 외국인 한국어 학습자의 인식 체계를 비교 분석하고자 하였다. 본 연구는 외국인 한국어 학습자들이 타동성을 어떻게 인식하고 있는지 분석한 이영준(2016)의 후속 연구로서 그 연구 대상을 한국어 화자까지 넓혔다. 본 조사에서는 ‘-을/를’의 사용 여부를 통해 타동성에 대한 개념을 확인하고자 하였다. 조사 참여자들이 담화 상황을 정확하게 파악할 수 있도록 행위자와 객체 사이의 관계를 보여주는 그림과 ‘-이/가’와 ‘-을/를’을 모두 사용할 수 있는 동사들이 제시되었다. 본 연구를 통해 타동성과 관련하여 다음과 같은 점들을 추론할 수 있었다. 먼저 행위자의 존재 유무가 타동성의 발현에 영향을 미치고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 맥락이 제거된 상황에서 행위자의 존재 유무에 따라 ‘-을/를’을 선택하는 양상이 달라졌다. 또한 객체에 대한 정보를 전달할 때 [상태]의 의미에 따라 타동성이 영향을 받고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 마지막으로 타동성의 발현을 통해 한국어 학습자의 능력을 예측할 수 있는 가능성을 찾았다. 비록 예측도가 높게 나타나지 않았지만 향후 빅데이터 구축, 조사 문항의 고도화와 함께 기계학습을 적용한다면 하나의 평가 도구로서 작용할 수 있을 것이다.

Micrometeorology and the Jet Engine

This paper is an attempt at examining the structure of the jet engine from a mi-crometeorological perspective, in order to further develop the emerging methodol-ogy of “machine critique.” As an outsider of science and engineering, a social sci-entist can probe into the deeper layers of complex machines, which will lead to fresh perspectives. This paper will merge the two seemingly unrelated subjects, micrometeorology and jet engines, which will provide new insights for scientists and engineers to further their horizons. Ultimately, this paper interprets the jet air-craft as a micrometeorological phenomenon. This will allow us to perceive the air-breathing engine as the interface between humans and their surrounding environ-ment.

A new genus and species from Borneo and a new species from Java and Sumatra of Cicadini (Hemiptera: Cicadidae)

A new cicada genus and species, Minilomia triquetra, gen. and sp. nov., is described from Borneo. The new genus Minilomia is closely allied to Platylomia Stål and is placed in the subtribe Dundubiina of the tribe Cicadini. Another new cicada species, Pomponia brevicaudata, sp. nov. (subtribe Psithyristriina), is described from Java and Sumatra. The new species belongs to the Pomponia linearis species group and the P. linearis species complex but is distinguished from its congeners by the unusually short male abdomen.

Newborns are in a primordial state that the mother and the infant are in a perfect harmony. By the ‘good enough mother,’ the magical omnipotence of the infant is established, and by the process the true self is created: the powerful source of life. However, if the Id-needs of the baby are not satisfied, the infant becomes a docile child. This is the cause of false self, inflicting negative effects to life. In this paper, the theoretical basis of the reflective(primordial) true self, the illusive(self-reflective) true self and the imaginary·symbolic(self-projective) true self are analyzed in details according to the periods and stages of children’s developments. At the same time, these issues related to the fantastic self by mirror images, the loss of self through imitation, the loss of identity by vanity and the formation of false self by docile children are discussed through picture books. Finally, this thesis will explain the social and cultural significance of the true self.

Jacques Lacan describes the negative aspects of the Imaginary process implied in the mirror stage through which the ego is structured wrongly, thus, mis-recognizing it as a true self. However, the Imaginary ego is a driving force in terms of creating our social subjects. If the ego is not formed, mental representation could be impossible. By the result, fantasy could not be initiated through which humans ultimately make their social relations with the world. Therefore, without it, our social subjects also cannot be constructed. In Through the Magic Mirror, a young boy, Toby enters a mirror where he experiences his amazing fantasy. While he enjoys his ‘imaginary play,’ he is driven to achieve his wisdom and insight after overcoming his inner problems by enjoying ‘the game of illusion.’ Instead of being a prisoner of illusions, this uncanny fantasy leads him gaining an enlightenment of life - finally dismantling his dull, tedious and tiresome life. The imaginative fantasy provides him not only his growth and development but also the potentials for his liberation and freedom. This is the creative meaning of ‘the game of illusions’ occurring in joy and happiness.

아이들은 학교에서 친구들과의 상호작용을 통해 사회적 관계를 발전시킨다. 친구관계라는 관점에서 우정의 의미와 관련하여 특정한 그림책들은 또래 관계와 우정을 통해 아동의 성장과 발달을 전인적 관점에서 보여준다. 친구관계와 우정은 성장 단계에 있는 아동의 심리적, 존재론적, 사회적 필요에 따라 형성되는 복잡한 성장 과정이다. 따라서 그림책을 통해 아이들이 보여주는 우정의 고유한 특성을 심리학적, 존재론적, 사회적 관점에서 분석하는 것이 중요하다. 『레온과 밥』은 심리학적 관점에서 아이들의 우정을 묘사한다. 『샘과 데이브의 땅 구멍 파기』는 특정한 목적이나 목표 없이 막연하게 함께 구멍을 파는 두 어린 시절 친구에 대한 존재론적 이야기이다. 『피터의 안경』은 도시 빈민가에 사는 아이들의 우정이 암시하는 사회적 생존에 대한 현실적인 내용을 담고 있다. 아동들이 만들어 내는 친구관계와 우정은 애정, 상호작용, 협력, 집단 결속과 같은 상호 관련된 능력을 길러줄 뿐만 아니라 사회 공동체에서 다른 집단의 사람들과 함께 살아가는 데 필요한 상호주관성을 성취하도록 돕는다.

영웅적 행동의 사회적 확산을 위한 제언

People are getting lost in their ways, being deprived of reasons to consider others and reflect on themselves in the modern time which demands infinite competition. Heroes are the ones who guide our way to advance; hence we need heroes and they need to permeate more deeply into our society. However, in this present age that desperately requires the social propagation of hero, the studies on heroism in Korea still linger in the analysis of Campbellian myth, depending on the uncertain concepts of hero. In this context, this study primarily tries to find a specific frame to define hero, based on heroic acts. By doing so, the study also explains the reason why we need heroes and propagate them in society. In addition, the empirical research will be carried out including the legal cases and protections implemented in foreign countries such as America and Britain by comparing these with the legal circumstances in Korea. 무한경쟁을 요구하는 현 시대에 개인은 타인을 뒤돌아볼 심리적 이유마저 상실한 채 길을 잃어가고 있다. 영웅은 우리에게 나아갈 길을 안내하는 존재이고, 그래서 우리에게는 영웅이 필요하고 우리 사회 깊숙이 스며들어야 한다. 그러나 영웅과 영웅적 행동의 사회적 확산이 절실히 요구되는 이 시대에 한국의 영웅 연구는 캠벨 식의 신화 분석에 머무른 채 영웅의 정의조차도 불분명한 개념에 의존하고 있다. 이에 본 논문은 일차적으로 영웅적 행동이 무엇인지에 대한 구체적인 준거 틀을 마련하여 영웅에 대한 정의를 시도하며, 이를 바탕으로 영웅과 영웅적 행동이 사회 속으로 확산되어야 하는 이유와 필요성을 역설한다. 더불어 미국이나 영국과 같은 여러 나라에서 시행하고 있는 영웅 보호 관련 법적 장치를 한국의 법률적 상황과 함께 검토함으로써 영웅적 행동의 사회적 확산을 위한 공적 차원에서의 지원 및 개선 방향을 살펴본다.
