        A study was presented of the masurement of protein in fermented milk with the Folin reagent and with coomassie brilliant blue G 250. Inoculated skim milk was estimated in pH and protein concentration each 3hrs. Protein concentrations by lowry method were shownd various change and by braford method lower gradually. It seems that the protein concentration in fremented milk are influenced strongly by protease activity. The adventage of braford method is the simplicity and rapidity, but coomassie blue do not react with free amino acid and very small peptide.

        근거중심 소아치과학의 개념과 응용 : CONCEPTS AND APPLICATIONS

        연구 목적은 근거중심 소아치과학의 개념을 정립하고 그 응용 방법을 모색하는 것이었다. 근거중심 소아치과학의 정의는 '어린이와 청소년의 치과 진료에서 최고의 과학적 연구근거를 소아치과의사의 임상 기술, 그리고 어린이 환자 및 그 보육자의 가치와 통합하는 것'으로 가정하였다. 근거중심 소아치과학의 실행 방법을 조사하였고, 근거중심 소아치과학의 최신 결론을 선별하여 주제별로 정리하였으며, 근거중심 소아치과학 연구의 기본이 되는 체계적 고찰과 임상진료지침의 연구방법을 분석하고, 개별 연구 방법으로서 무작위 대조 시험 등을 조사하였다. 근거중심 소아치과학이 발전하기 위한 기본 방향으로서, 근거중심 소아치과학의 필요성에 대한 인식 제고와 공감대 형성, 근거중심 소아치과학의 방법에 대한 교육, 소아치과학 문헌의 전산화, 체계적 고찰과 임상진료지침의 지속적 연구 개발 및 보급, 우리나라 소아치과학 근거의 생성, 소아치과 진료환경의 사회적 요인 개선 등이 제안되었다. The purpose of this study is to establish the concept of the evidence-based pediatric dentistry and to investigate the application methods of it. The difinition of the evidence-based pediatric dentistry was suggested as 'the integration of the best scientific research evidence with the professional expertise of pediatric dentist and the value of pediatric patients and their caregivers in dental practice for the child and adolescent'. The methods of practising evidence-based pediatric dentistry were investigated, the recent conclusions of the evidence-based pediatric dentistry were summarized by topics, the research methods of systemic review and clinical prctice guidlines were analyzed, and the individual research methods as randomized controlled trials were investigated. The author proposed increasing the understanding and consensus of the necessity of evidence-based pediatric dentistry, education about the evidence-based pediatric dentistry, computerization of all published articles of Korean pediatrtic dentistry, continuing research and popularization of systemic research and clinical practice guidlines, production of Korea's own evidences of pediatric dentistry, and the improvement of soical environment of pediatric practice.

        중량물 들어올리기 작업 중 근육 활동에 대한 착용형 보조 작업복의 효과

        Quick picking and heavy lifting are the most common problems in current workplaces. They can cause lumbar muscle damage. The operator then must spend energy, time, and money for recovery or rehabilitation. To solve this problem, we developed a passive-type assistive suit using air mesh material, elastic band, and wire. To determine the strength support effect of the passive-type assistive suit, electromyography (EMG) was performed for eight muscles and the maximum voluntary contraction (MVC) was analyzed when lifting weights of 0%, 15%, and 30% of the subject’s weight in a Semisquat motion. Results showed that MVC increased as the weight of the heavy object increased. However, its increase was not proportional to the decrease in MVC according to the presence or absence of assistive suits or the weight of the heavy object. The highest MVC was observed for the erector spinae muscle under all conditions. The greatest decrease in MVC according to working clothes was measured for the vastus lateralis muscle (lifting: 17.7±2.95%, lowering: 18.3±0.55%). These results show that lifting work performed while wearing a passive-type assistive suit using wires and elastic bands is effective in assisting muscle activity.

        불소와 칼슘의 법랑질 재광화 효과에 대한 생체외 연구

        침식된 치아 법랑질의 효과적인 재광화 방법에 관한 연구의 일환으로, 0.1~l.0% 구연산 용액에서 60분간 탈회시킨 사람 소구치 법랑질을 인공타액, 100ppm 및 1000ppm 불소가 첨가된 인공타액, 1000ppm 칼슘이 첨가된 인공타액, 100ppm 불소와 1000ppm 칼슘이 첨가된 인공타액에 각각 넣고 재광화시키면서, 3시간과 6시간 경과시에 표면미세경도를 측정하였다. 불소나 칼슘을 첨가하지 않은 인공타액 및 불소 100ppm을 첨가한 인공타액에서는 6시간 동안 유의한 재광화가 일어나지 않았으며, 불소 1000ppm을 첨가한 인공타액에서는 3시간 후에 유의한 재광화가 관찰되었고 3시간부터 6시간 사이에는 유의한 재광화가 일어나지 않았으며, 칼슘 1000ppm을 첨가한 인공타액 및 불소 100ppm과 칼슘 1000ppm을 첨가한 인공타액에서는 3시간 후와 6시간 후에 유의한 재광화가 관찰되었다(유의수준 P=0.05). 불소나 칼슘을 첨가하지 않은 인공타액 또는 불소 100ppm을 첨가한 인공타액에 비해 불소 100ppm과 칼슘 1000ppm을 첨가한 인공타액의 재광화효과가 유의하게 더 컸으며, 불소를 100ppm 또는 1000ppm으로 첨가한 것, 불소 농도를 100ppm에서 1000ppm으로 증가시킨 것, 칼슘을 1000ppm으로 첨가한 것은 재광화효과를 유의하게 증가시키지 않았다. The purpose of study was to observe the effect of fluoride and calcium on enamel remineralizaton in vitro. Human premolar enamel specimens were prepared by demineralization in 0.1~1.0% citric acid for 60 minutes. They were remineralized for 6 hours in one of the following solutions : (1) artificial saliva, (2) artificial saliva with 100ppmF, (3) artificial saliva with 1000ppmF, (4) artificial saliva with 1000ppmCa, and (5) artificial saliva with 100ppmF and 1000ppmCa. No significant remineralization was occurred in artificial saliva and artificial saliva with 100ppmF. Significant remineralization was observed in artificial saliva with 1000ppmF at 3 hours, and in artificial saliva with 1000ppmCa and artificial saliva with 100ppmF and 1000ppmCa at 3 and 6 hours(P<0.05). The remineralization effect of artificial saliva with l00ppmF and 1000ppmCa was greater than that of artificial saliva or artificial saliva with 100ppmF. Addition of F to 100ppm or 1000ppm, addition of Ca to 1000ppm, and increasing the concentration of F from 100ppm to 1000ppm did not significantly increase the remineralization.

        이산화탄소 레이저의 유치 탈회억제 및 재경화 효과

        이산화탄소 레이저의 출력과 조사시간에 따른 유치 법랑질의 탈회억제 및 재경화 효과를 알아보고자 하였다. 유치 법랑질의 직경 2mm 부위를, 파장 $10.6{\mu}m$ 탈촛점 펄스파 이산화탄소 레이저로 6W 2초 및 3W 8초 조사하고, Diagnodent로 측정하여 탈회억제 및 재경화 효과를 평가하고, 선행 연구의 3W 4초 및 6W 4초 조사 결과와 함께 4개군을 비교하였다. 유치 법랑질을 6W 2초 또는 3W 8초 조사 후 탈회시켰을 때, 조사 전과 조사 후에 비해 탈회 후 측정치가 유의하게 증가하였으며(P<0.05), 군 간에 유의한 차이가 없었다. 4개 군 중 6W 4초 군에서 뚜렷한 탈회억제효과가 있었다. 탈회된 유치 법랑질을 6W 2초 또는 3W 8초 조사하였을 때, 탈회 후에 비해 조사 후 측정치가 유의하게 감소하였으나 탈회 전보다는 유의하게 증가하였고(P<0.05), 군 간에 유의한 차이가 없었다. 4개 군 중 6W 4초 군이 거의 완전한 재경화효과가 있었고, 세 군은 부분적 재경화효과가 있었으며 서로 유의한 차이가 없었다. 치아변색은 6W 4초 조사한 경우에만 나타났다. 우식 억제와 치아변색은 총 조사 에너지보다 출력에 더 의존한다고 사료되었다. The purpose of study was to investigate the effect of carbon dioxide laser on demineralization inhibition and rehardening of primary tooth enamel according to its power and irradiation time. 2mm diameter circle on the primary enamel surface was irradiated by defocused $10.6{\mu}m$ superpulse carbon dioxide laser at 6 Watt 2 seconds or at 3 Watt 8 seconds, before or after demineralization by Coca-Cola for 24 hours. Enamel surface change was measured by the Diagnodent. The results were analyzed with the former study results of 3 Watt 4 seconds and 6 Watt and 4 seconds. Diagnodent scores increased significantly after demineralization of irradiated enamel at 6W 2s or 3W 8s (P<0.05). Among the four groups, only 6W 4s group showed obvious demineralization inhibition effect. Diagnodent scores reduced significantly after 6W 2s or 3W 8s irradiation of demineralized enamel(P<0.05). Among the four groups, 6W 4s showed nearly complete rehardening effect, and the other groups showed partial effect. Tooth discoloration only occurred at 6W 4s. It seemed that caries inhibition and tooth discoloration depend on laser power more than total irradiation energy.

        그레이엄 그린의 사랑과 희망의 비전: 아버지 관계를 중심으로

        This article focuses on examining the theme of Graham Greene’s love and vision emphasized by paternity. As Erdinast-Vulcan says, there are three types of fathers in Greene’s novels: the biological father, the metaphorical father and the Father in Heaven. The relationship of the biological father is destined to be spontaneous. The relationship of the metaphorical father is embodied by the protagonists. Greene develops the relationship of the metaphorical father into the love and responsibility for neighborhood. In Monsignor Quixote the atmosphere of the novel is headed for afterlife world. Monsignor Quixote loves his neighbors with brotherly love because every man is equally a son of God. And also he considers such love to be connected with the vision of hope.

        Room Temperature Baroplastic Processing of PS/PBA Nano-Blends

        Room temperature baroplastic processing of polystyrene (PS) and poly(n-butyl acrylate) (PBA) was investigated through the formation of nanoblends of their polymer nanoparticles. Instead of core-shell or block copolymer structures, PS and PBA nanoparticles were synthesized separately through aqueous emulsion polymerization and then mixed and precipitated. The resulting nano-blends provided semi-transparent molding at 25 oC under applied pressure, resembling that of core-shell and block copolymer baroplastic systems. Differential scanning calorimetry measurements of the compressed samples revealed the presence of intermixing glass transition between the two components, which indicated baroplastic processing. However, PS/poly(lauryl methacrylate) blends exhibited no intermixing glass transition, indicating no pressure-induced miscibility between the two phases.
