본 논문은 북한의 무인기 도발로 인해 한국의 Z세대가 느끼는 안보 상황을 분석하여 도출된 한국군의 문제를 해결할 수 있는 안보 능력 고취 방안을 조사하는데 배경과 목적을 두고 있다. 본 연구의 대상은 00시에 소재한 대학생 212명을 대상으로 설문지를 사용하여 실시하였다. 자료의 분석은 SPSS 26.0 통계 프로그램으로 신뢰도 분석을 위해 Cronbach’s α 값을 산출하고 각 변인 간의 상관분석은 Pearson을 실시하였다. 또한 각 변인에 대한 조사대상자 특성차이는 독립표본 t-검정과 일원배치 분산분석(ANOVA), 왜도 및 첨도를 분석하여 정규성 진단을 위한 기술통계 방식을 사용하였다. 이에 따른 연구 결과로 첫째, 안보 상황에 대한 인식에는 한국의 안보 상황을 불안하게 느끼고 한국군의 전투준비태세와 대응을 신뢰하지 못하는 것으로 분석되었다. 둘째, 한국의 안보 능력 고취를 위한 방안으로는 한국군의 전투역량 강화가 필요하다고 느끼고 동맹국과 연합방위 태세를 공고히 유지해야 한다는 인식이었다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 한국군의 문제 요인을 도출하는 기대효과를 나타냈다. 또한, 국민이 신뢰할 수 있고 즉각적인 대응과 전투준비태세가 갖추어진 한국군의 장기적인 전투역량 강화정책이 수립되어야 할 것으로 분석되었다. The purpose of this study was to analyze the security situation felt by Generation Z in South Korea due to North Koreas drone provocation, how to address the security concerns faced by this generation, and how to promote the necessary security capabilities within the South Korean military. A survey was conducted through a questionnaire with 212 college students. An analysis of the data was performed using the statistical program SPSS 26.0 by calculating Cronbachs α value for reliability analysis and a Pearson correlation analysis. In addition, for the difference in the characteristics of the survey subjects for each variable, a descriptive statistical method for normality diagnosis was used through an independent-sample t-test and ANOVA. The studys findings revealed the following results. First, there was a significant difference in perception of the security situation depending on the characteristics of the responders. They felt uneasy about the security situation in South Korea and did not trust the preparation and response of the South Korean military. Second, for strategies to enhance South Koreas security capabilities, it was found necessary to strengthen the combat capabilities of the South Korean military, and it was recognized that maintaining a strong joint defense posture with an ally is crucial. These research results showed the expected effect of deriving the problem factors of the South Korean military. Policies should be established to strengthen the long-term combat capabilities of the South Korean military, which are reliable and ready for immediate response and combat.

The present study is aimed to present a plan to improve the military strategy of South Korean military in preparation for a new type of North Korea's provocation against South Korea as North Korea has been armed with nuclear weapons. Under the consecutive sanction and pressure of the international community, North Korean Kim Jeong-un regime has proceeded nuclear tests 5 times to downsize and standardize nuclear weapons, and increase the holdings of nuclear materials, which is needed to advance the capacity of nuclear weapons, diversifying the deliveries of nuclear weapons such as various types of missiles, SLBM test launching, and nuclear submarine. In addition, the regime declared last year to be a nuclear power at the 7th Party Congress and adopted “Policy Line Paralleling Nuclear Force and Economy as permanent strategy and took its status of nuclear power as fact. When analyzing the series of these moves by North Korea, it is expected that Kim Jeong-un regime will never give up nuclear weapons and rather reinforce nuclear military strategy to take advantage of more actively as means of provocation against South Korea. Accordingly, we have to develop a military strategy in preparation for a new type of North Korea's provocation against South Korea as North Korea has been armed with nuclear weapons. This study found out that it is highly likely that the North Korean regime led by Kim Jeong-un starts a limited war, focusing on strong local provocation with conventional weaponry while maintaining the Balance of terror of mutually assured destruction (MAD) by arming itself with nuclear weapons. Therefore, plans to develop our military strategy can be presented as follows, First, it is 'Offensive Rejective Deterrence Strategy' that aims to remove nuclear weapons and nullify the use in advance in the peacetime and when North Korean's use of nuclear weapon is detected. Second, it is 'The Strategy of Quickly Securing Strategic Goal' in preparation for limited wars of local provocation that Kim Jeong-un regime, holding nuclear weapons, is expected to attempt to accomplish its political and military goals.
