        국군간호사관학교 ’22-’25 교육과정 개발

        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop 4-year undergraduate program for KAFNA cadets in academic year of 2022 to 2025. Methods: Using a competency-based curriculum development process, the authors reviewed literature, interviewed focus groups, and evaluated validity using Delphi method. The curriculum was finalized through a public hearing and the steering committee of education in KAFNA. Results: The curriculum composed of 146 credits, seven educational objectives, seven core competencies, and eleven program outcomes. Item-level content validity index scores for educational objectives, core competencies and program outcome were 0.78 or higher. Conclusion: The curriculum was verified with high consensus. However, it should be updated on a regular basis to educate nursing cadets to become excellent nursing officers, and be revised to reflect the fourth-cycle nursing education accreditation standards.

        COVID-19 상황에서 군병원 간호인력의 심리적 외상 관련 요인

        Purpose: This study aimed to examine the level of perceived stress, meaning of life, and social support on psychological trauma and identify factors that influence the psychological trauma of military hospital nursing staff during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: A descriptive predictive design was used. Data were collected using questionnaires from a convenience sample of 115 military hospital nursing staff who had experience in caring for COVID-19 patients in 2021. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, and multiple linear regression. Results: The mean scores of the perceived stress, meaning of life, social support, and psychological trauma were 17.05, 51.44, 55.78, and 24.69 respectively. Psychological trauma differed significantly according to age (F=5.49, p=.005), clinical career (F=3.56, p=.014), and position (F=8.11, p=.001). Psychological trauma was correlated with social support (r=-.31, p=.001). Multiple regression analysis showed that psychological trauma accounted for 16.0% of the variance by position (β=0.40, p=.003), and social support (β=-0.26, p=.004) (F=5.29, p<.001). Conclusion: The results of the study show that social support and nursing staff’s position are important determinants of psychological trauma in military hospital nursing staffs. These results suggest that strategies focusing on social support and the promotion of the mental health of nursing civilians should be developed to reduce the psychological trauma of nursing staff in military hospitals.

        국군간호사관학교 생도의 간호수행능력 영향요인

        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to understand the influencing factors of clinical nursing performance competency among Korea Armed Forces Nursing Academy (KAFNA) cadets with the aim of providing foundational data to enhance clinical nursing performance. Methods: This study was a descriptive study, with a sample size of 122, 3rd and 4th year cadets at KAFNA. Data was collected through a self-reported online survey platform from July 5, 2021 to November 2, 2021. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS. Results: The level of clinical reasoning competency, nursing process competency, communication skills, and clinical nursing performance competency of KAFNA cadets was found to be moderate or above compared to general nursing students. The clinical nursing performance competency of the cadets showed a positive correlation with clinical reasoning competency (r=.84, p<.001), nursing process competency (r=.78, p<.001), and communication skills (r=.58, p<.001). According to the results of a stepwise multiple regression, clinical reasoning competency (β=.63, p<.001), nursing process competency (β=.11, p=.297), communication skills (β=.17, p=.005), and satisfaction with nursing major (β=.34, p=.042) were significant, and these factors explained 73.8% of the variance in clinical nursing performance competency, which was statistically significant (F=82.38, p<.001). Conclusion: Based on these research results, it is suggested that in order to improve the clinical nursing performance competency of KAFNA cadets, educational programs should be operated to enhance their clinical reasoning competency, nursing process competency, and communication skills.

        사단의무근무대 간호장교 직무표준 개발

        Purpose : The purpose of this study was to define the roles and duties of nursing officers assigned to the medical battalion of a division and to develop job standards for them. Methods : This study is a methodological research based on principle of job standards development for professional nurses suggested by Korean Nursing Association. First of all, a preliminary list of job standards for nursing officers were made by reviewing literatures, interviewing nursing officers working at the divisional medical battalion, and collecting opinions of the senior group. Secondly, the job standards was constructed by using Content Validity Index(CVI); and then, verified a practical compliance of the job standards. Finally, by gathering the opinions of the expert group, it was possible to define the job standards of nursing officers at the medical battalion. Results : We developed 5 job standards of nursing officers who were assigned to the medical battalion of the division including 13 criteria, 32 indicators and 93 nursing affairs. Job standards contain nursing service provider, educator, leader, consultant, and collaborator. Conclusion : The results are expected to help establishing policy which improve working conditions and workers` efficiency at the medical battalion by applying the job standards, measuring performance and accumulating data.

        간호사관생도들의 정신전력 수준 분석

        Purpose : This study was conducted to evaluate the level of spiritual combat power and analyse the difference in the level of the generic characteristics. Methods : The tool for this study was accomplished by a remodified version of ``The Spiritual Combat Power Assessment Tool`` developed by the National Defense University. Using the modified tool, the data were collected from all cadets(N=286) at the AFNA in 2011. For data analysis, descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and reliability analysis were used most frequently using SPSS 12.0. Results : The mean score of the subcomponents of the spiritual combat power components(Belief, discipline, morale, Solidarity) range between 3.07 and 4.21 out of 5. The results from the cadets were mostly positive, but each component showed significantly difference. The current study also confirmed the significant correlations between each component and its subcomponents. Conclusion : In order to improve the level of the spiritual combat power of cadets, the study proposed the five practical methods. This study also has a great significance in the aspect of establishing a theoretical foundation related the cadets` spiritual combat power for the future studies.

        육군 영관 장교의 신종 호흡기 감염병에 대한 지식, 태도 및 예방행위

        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the relationships between knowledge, attitude, and preventive behaviors on emerging respiratory infectious disease among field-grade officers in Republic of Korea Army. Methods: This cross-sectional descriptive study included 194 participants who currently serving as field-grade officers. Data were collected by structured questionnaires and were analyzed through descriptive statistics, independent t-test, analysis of variance, and Pearson's correlation coefficient. Results: Knowledge, attitude, and preventive behaviors score related to emerging respiratory infectious disease were 8.42±1.25 points out of 11 points, 60.78±4.63 points out of 65 points, and 54.25±5.29 points out of 60points, respectively. There were strong positive correlations between knowledge, attitude, and preventive behaviors, despite no correlation between knowledge and attitude. Conclusion: Results of this study provided basic data for establishing health policy for the prevention and management of military infectious disease. To promote emerging respiratory infectious disease preventive behaviors, various education and methods should be considered to improve the knowledge of field-grade officers and change their attitude.
