Kelly의 個人構念理論에 對한 硏究 : Kelly의 構念理論의 Casework에 適用可能性의 檢討
朴丙錫 경북대학교 사회과학대학 1984 社會科學 Vol.3 No.-
The heart of George Kelly's personal construct theory lies in the cognitive manner in which individuals perceive, interpret, predict, and control people and things in their environments. The present paper aims to introduce the personal construct theory to social cateworkers, counselors and psychotherapists in Korea. 1. Introduction Cognitive aspects of human behavior have been given less important emphasis in traditional social casework, counseling and psychotherapy theories than affective and behavior aspects. In psychoanalysis, client-cented therapy, behavior therapy, or other counseling theories, a fundametal fact of life that human beings are thinking animals has been paid insufficient attention. In the 1950's cognitive theories have been emerged. Kelly was the first personologist to emphasize the cognitive or thinking aspects of human behavior as the dominant feature of personality. 2. Practice of Socical casework, Counseling and Psychoterapy Kelly's theory represents a purely cognitive view of human behavior, behavior pathology, and counseling. Although he retained traditional psychological concepts he defined the traditional concepts. Anxiety, guilt, threat, hostility and other emotional states were reconstrued as he applied the concepts and theories of personal construct system. A psychological disorder is any personal construction which is used in spite of consistent invaridation. Mania, depression, paranoia and other psychological disturbances are outcome of dilation, construction, and other misguided forms of personal constructs. While many of therapeutic methods suggested by felly are compatible with those used in other clinical approaches, there are two distinguishing features of his own personal construct theory. First, he contended that goal of counseling and psychotherapy should be to help clients develop better construct system. Second, he developed his own specific method of counseling and psychotherapy: fixed role therapy. Fixed role therapy maintains that pschologically human beings are not only what they construe themselves to be but also what they do. The fixed role therapy begins by having the client write a sketch of himself in the third berson. To help client revise his personal construct system, he is encouraged to enact role of a fictional individual. The role of fictional person is compiled by a group of experienced clinicians. Through techiques such as role playing, the client is encouraged to apply the skech character constructs in his social relationships, work situation, family interaction and other important life areas. 3. Conclusion Kelly's personal construct theory is applicable to behavioral do-mains far beyond that traditionally defined as cognitive. However this introductory overview is not suffidient for comprehensive and accurate understanding of Kelly's personal construct theory. Much reserch on the personal construct theory is needed.

The purpose of this study is to validate the kelly's personal construct theory through experimental demonstration of changing high school student's personal construct by applying kelly's fixed role enactment. Previous studies have shown that fixed role enactment s effective method to change human behavior. Based on the previous studies, the study attempted to demonstrate the change of high school students' behavior characteristics through the fixed role enactment. In the study, it was hypothesi-zed that the group treated with fixed role enactment would show more change than the group without fixed role enactment. The result of the experiment have shown that fixed role enactment can change high school students' personal constructs on the dimension of interpersonal perception and the number of the identical constructs. As to the complexity dimention, there was no statistically significant difference between two groups. This result could be attributed to the slower change of the structure of construct systems than the contents of construct systems. In order to generalize these results to the whole normal group, further studies are needed.
바람직한 Social Work Supervision에 關한 考察
朴丙錫 경북대학교 사회과학대학 1985 社會科學 Vol.4 No.-
I studied officer's and student's supervision and discussed about the principles of supervision which can be adaptable between both, officer's and student's supervisions. The roles of the supersions are very important in his responsability. It's functions and projects seem very charangeable. Supervisors showed the model as social work professioners to the students and workers. He is the man who maintained and protected the standard and desirable practices of the professional job. He functualizes his functions and works, So he contributes his client's welfare. The methods of guidance and supervision which he uses are the administrative education and helping them. As the supervisors are not understood and accepted yet, at present they are not 'we' or 'they' in many cases. But the supervisors are also seeking their own subject and are doing their basic roles in rapid developing social services.
