As the Chinese culture birthplace, China has given many influences to neighboring Japan and Korea, especially the most representative is the transplantation of Chinese characters. With the influence from original pronunciation of Chinese characters, Japanese, Korean, Chinese pronunciation have been more influenced by their national language system in the transplantation processes, in addition, a change also occurred in the original Chinese language for the past years. Therefore, comparisons among modern Chinese pronunciations of Japanese, Chinese and Korean are unavoidable restricted. That′s why Middle Ages Chinese language which played an important role in the formation of Japanese and Korean is adopted in this present study. This study focusing on the commonly used the Chinese characters in Japan as a base and carried on the comparison among the modern pronunciation of Japanese, Chinese and Korean. Pronunciation of Japanese, Chinese and Korean was marked on Japanese common characters by International Phonetic Alphabet, “Basic Data Table” was formulated as the research data, as to analyze the corresponding relations among initial consonant, vowel and ending of the three languages. It′s results indicated that the initial consonants of Japanese, Chinese and Korea are in the identical series. For the vowel, the quantity in Japanese language is far less than those in Chinese and Korea, through the falling off and mergence of Middle Ages Chinese media vowels [i]·[u]. In contrast, the vowel system of Korean is closer to Middle Ages Chinese. The ending demonstrates that Korean has reservations on ending of Middle Ages Chinese which disappeared in modern Chinese language, such as [-k]·[-t]·[-p] and so on.

Kim You Jung created unique aesthetics different from any other authors' in dealing with Korean dark age in the reign of Japan in his works. He correctly understood the social controdictions of that society that he could reveal them as they were. He shows us a new archetype of the Korean novel in his works which are related with Korea's spirit. And he also shows us his will of escapism by describing the dull and silly characters intentionally chosen and by making the women characters immoral such as whores. The women in his works are divided into three types in this study. The first type is self-sacrificing woman who is obedient to her husband and endures with patience in a system oppressing woman and considering man very important. The second type is selfish woman who uses other ones for her life. And the last is active and positive one like Jumsoon in Bombom and Dongbaekkot. The women in the novels of Kim You Jung, subdued by the society controlled by men don't realize their position, although the women in these days don't endure disadvantages and alienation from society and prevent themselves from them. Kim You Jung isn't suject to a certain ideology but reveals realism and the social situation of that age through the special aesthetical foundation such as folklore, satire and humor. But there seem to be no solutions of the absurd society given to us by the simple plot and the simple characters. This study for the characters in the works of Kim You Jung is just an attempt and many studies about the types of woman in his works must be investigated in various views.
