        출소자 취업지원 실태 및 시사점 - 한국법무보호복지공단 기술교육원을 중심으로 -

        The Ministry of Justice is actively supporting the employment of criminals and ex-offenders through correction facilities, social treatment, and legal protection projects. However, those who received benefits from the project showed a low employment rate of less than 20% for more than one year, so thorough analysis and evaluation are necessary for the complete reentry of the ex-prisoners to society. In this study, we analyzed the results of in-depth interviews with employees who have been trained at the vocational training centers operated by Korea Rehabilitation Agency. We found that the trainees and the former trainees showed high satisfaction with the program and the employees of the institute, but they claimed the inconvenience of the poor accessibility of the institute and appealed the difficulties in earning a living during the education period. In addition, there were opinions that the need for various education programs and the linkage with vocational training in the correctional institutions were necessary. Based on the above analysis, some suggestions were made. 법무부는 교정시설, 사회내처우, 법무보호사업 등을 통하여, 범죄자 및 출소자에 대한 취업지원을 활발하게 실시하고 있다. 다만, 사업의 수혜를 받은 출소자들의 1년 이상 근속률은 20% 이하로 저조한 것으로 나타나, 출소자들의 완전한 사회복귀를 위해서는 이들에 대한 면밀한 분석과 평가가 필요하다. 이에 이 연구에서는 한국법무보호복지공단 기술교육원에서 교육을 받고 있거나, 기관을 통하여 취업한 취업자를 대상으로 한 심층인터뷰 결과를 분석하였다. 연구결과, 교육생들 및 취업자들은 대체로 기술교육원의 프로그램과 직원들에 대한 높은 만족감을 나타냈으나, 기술교육원의 열악한 접근성에 불편함을 나타냈으며, 교육 기간 동안의 생계유지 어려움을 호소하였다. 이와 더불어, 다양한 교육 프로그램에 대한 욕구 및 교정기관에서의 직업훈련과 연계가 필요하다는 의견도 나타났다. 이상의 분석결과를 바탕으로 기술교육원 운영과 관련한 몇 가지 제언을 제시하였다.

      • Conjugated Biomimetic Polymer Sensors Employing Fluorescence Resonance Energy Transfer

        In this study, conjugated biomimetic polymer sensors composed of 10,12-Pentacosadiynoic acid (PCDA) and fluorescent dye BO558 were prepared. Polymerized PCDA vesicles show unique colorimetric and fluorescent changes by external stresses, that is, from blue to red and from non-fluorescent to red-fluorescent. However, the quantum yield of PCDA alone is very low (blue phase: 10<sup>- 4</sup>, red phase: 0.02). Such disadvantage can be overcome via the use of fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) by incorporating fluorescent dye molecules into PCDA vesicles. In this article, we report that heterogeneous PCDA/BO558 vesicle systems can selectively detect the inclusion complex of α-cylcodextrin by using fluorescent spectroscopy. While the fluorescence intensity of BO558 was considerably decreased in polymerized blue-phase PCDA/BO558 vesi-cles due to energy transfer, the intensity was increased and recovered upon reaction with α-cyclodextrin (CD). On contrary, it was not changed upon exposure to γ-CD, indicating the specific detection performance of the sensor. Such fluorescent changes are considered to result from reduced energy transfer due to a conform-ational change of the conjugated PCDA polymer backbone by the inclusion compl-exation of α-CD. These FRET characteristics of PCDA/BO558 vesicles would apply to a wider range of biomolecular recognition events.

        시각장애인와 청각장애인에서 진동촉감자극을 이용한 촉감인지능 평가

        시각장애인과 청각장애인에서 상실된 감각기능을 대치할 목적으로 촉감제시장치를 이용한다. 이 연구에서는 효과적인 촉감제시장치를 개발하기 위하여 정상인, 시각장애인과 청각장애인의 손가락과 손바닥에서 진동촉감자극기를 이용하여 촉감인지능을 측정하였다. 정상인의 남자와 여자에서 진동촉감자극에 대한 인지능의 차이는 없었으나 다섯 개의 손가락은 손바닥과 비교하여 높은 인지능을 보였다. 정상인과 청각장애인은 60Hz의 진동자극 주파수에서 가장 높은 인지능을 보였으나 시각장애인은 80Hz에서 가장 높은 인지능을 보였다. 또한 두점식별력에서 정상인과 청각장애인은 60Hz, 시각장애인은 80Hz에서 높은 촉감인지능을 보였다. 이상의 연구 결과는 진동촉감자극을 제시할 경우 시각장애인은 80Hz, 청각장애인은 60Hz가 적합함을 시사한다. Tactile sensory substitution is applied to persons with sensory loss of vision or hearing. Tactile acuity of vibrotactile stimulation was assessed in groups of control, blind and deaf to investigate the effective tactile display. Tactile acuity of vibrotactile stimulation in control group did not show any significant difference between male and female, but fingers showed higher acuity than palm. Vibrotactile frequency with 60Hz produced the highest acuity in control and deaf groups, however, the frequency with 80Hz produced the highest acuity in blind group. Also, two-point discrimination test showed the same response in frequency as vibrotactile stimulation. These results suggest that vibrotactile stimulation with 80Hz and 60Hz could be effective for tactile display in blind and deaf, respectively.

        Involved-field radiation therapy for selected cases of recurrent ovarian cancer

        Objectives In our institutional experience, involved-field radiation therapy (IFRT) yields favorable outcomes in patients with recurrent epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC). This retrospective study aimed to investigate the clinical benefits of IFRT in this patient population. Methods Among patients treated with IFRT for recurrent EOC between 2010 and 2017, 61 patients with 90 treatments were included. IFRT encompassed all treatable lesions identified via imaging studies with 10–15-mm margins. Prescribed doses were ≥45 Gy (equivalent dose in 2 Gy/fraction). Results Patients were followed up for a median of 19.0 (Interquartile range, 8.6–34.9) months after IFRT. The 2-year in-field control, progression-free survival, and overall survival (OS) rates were 42.7%, 24.2%, and 78.9%, respectively. Fifty-three IFRT sessions (58.9%) were followed by systemic chemotherapy, and the median chemotherapy-free interval (CFI) was 10.5 (95% confidence interval=7.3–13.7) months. A higher carbohydrate antigen-125 (CA-125) level correlated with a worse 2-year OS (69.2% vs. 91.0%; p=0.001) and shorter median CFI (4.7 vs. 11.9 months; p<0.001). Twenty-eight (31.1%) of 90 treatments yielded a long-term CFI >12 months. For patients with a normal CA-125 level and/or platinum-sensitive tumor, IFRT prolonged CFI regardless of pre-existing carcinomatosis, gross tumor volume, and number of treatment sites. Conclusion Our early experience demonstrates the safety and feasibility of IFRT as an effective salvage therapy and enables a “chemotherapy holiday” in selected recurrent EOC settings. The CA-125 value before IFRT (within normal range) and/or platinum sensitivity could be used as selection criteria for IFRT.

        Effects of Sunghyangchungisan(SHCS) on oxidant-induced cell death in human neuroglioma cells

        Objective:Reactive oxygen species (ROS) have been implicated in the pathogenesis of a wide range of acute and long-term neurodegenerative diseases. This study was undertaken to examine whether Sunghyangchungisan (SHCS), a well-known prescription in Korean traditional medicine, might have beneficial effects on ROS-induced brain cell injury. Methods:Human neuroglioma cell line A172 and H2O2 were employed as an experimental model cell and oxidant. Results;SHCS effectively protected the cells against both the necrotic and apoptotic cell death induced by H2O2. The effect of SHCS was dose-dependent at concentrations ranging from 0.2 to 5 mg/㎖. SHCS significantly prevented depletion of cellular ATP and activation of poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase induced by H2O2. It also helped mitochondria to preserve its functional integrity estimated by MTT reduction ability. Furthermore, SHCS significantly prevented H2O2-induced release of cytochrome c into cytosol. Determination of intracellular ROS showed that SHCS might exert its role as a powerful scavenger of intracellular ROS. Conclusion:The present study provides clear evidence for the beneficial effect of SHCS on ROS-induced neuoglial cell injury. The action of SHCS as an ROS-scavenger might underlie the mechanism.         스마트농업의 주요 정책 동향과 지리적 시사점

        Smart agriculture has emerged to be a solution to the global food crisis and a new growth engine in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The purpose of this study is to reveal the spatiality of smart agriculture by analyzing smart agriculture policies in major countries and examining how major's agricultural knowledge and experience are expressed in specific agricultural environment. I selected China, Japan, the Netherlands, and the United States as representative examples. In the analysis of agricultural policy, the direction, governance and main areas and technologies were focused. As a result, it is found both standardization strategy and the localization strategy work at the same time. Standardization strategies decontextualize technologies and policies from the economic, social, cultural, and ecological contexts of region. The regionalization strategy builds a smart agricultural model for each country with reflecting geographical characteristics. This study could be for facilitating further researches on geographies of agricultural technology and agricultural knowledge production.

        광섬유 간섭계를 이용한 표면 탄성파 측정방법

        An Effective method for mesurement of the surface acoustic wave using a simple fiber-optic interferometer is proposed and demonstrated for the meausurement of flexural acoustic wave along an optical fiber. By positioning the optical fiber probe near the DUT, the phase information of the reflected light is converted to an optical intensity in the interferometric output. When satisfying the appropriate conditions, the displacement of the acoustic wave can be directly observed in real time on an oscilloscope. This is simple and effective method in measurement of acoustic displacement with its amplitude below 100 nm. 표면 탄성파의 변위를 측정하기 위해 간단한 광섬유 간섭계와 신호처리 방법을 제안하고, 실험으로 구현하였다. 광섬유 프로브를 측정대상에 근접시킴으로써 탄성 매질의 표면에서 반사되는 빛의 위상 정보를 읽었으며, 적절한 조건하에서, 탄성파의 변위를 실시간으로 직접 oscilloscope 상에서 확인할 수 있다. 수 nm에서 수십 nm의 진폭을 갖는 탄성파의 변위를 측정하는데 있어서 특히 효과적인 방법이다.
